Meta's Threads hits 400 million monthly users in 2 years, closing gap with X user base

Meta's text-based social media app Threads has touched 400 million monthly active users (MAUs), just two years after its launch. The update came from Instagram head Adam Mosseri, who shared the numbers while recalling how the platform started as an idea to rival Twitter, now called X, and has since grown into a space for open latest figure shows the app has added 50 million new monthly users in the past three months. In April this year, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had said Threads had reached 350 million MAUs, which was already an increase from 320 million in January.
