Video of Baby Learning a Dog-Like Habit From His Pet Melts Hearts
The bond between kids and their pet dogs is always special. Right from being their sleeping pillows to their playtime pals, kids' worlds revolve around their fur buddies. But has your child ever picked up some traits from your pet dog? Well, this baby has. Watch this sweet video of a baby learning a dog-like habit from his pet dog.
While it's generally believed that parents are a child's first teachers, in this case, it's a Labrador Retriever who in a way is the kid's first teacher. Wondering what trait did the child learn from the pet? It's picking up things from his mouth just like his fur buddy. Funny yet touching, isn't it?
Instead of using his hand to hold things like every other kid, the baby followed the footsteps of his pet pooch, Elvis, and learned how to pick up things from his mouth like a pro. Even the parents were surprised by the action and could not understand why their son 'carried everything in his mouth' until they saw 'who he learned it from' — their beloved pet.
The clip shows the child grabbing everything in his mouth, including a ball and socks, just like Elvis who carried shoes, a bowl, and even a briefcase in his mouth. The sweet Instagram video has left many users surprised. Many even left smiling and heart emojis on the post, with one commenter saying, 'How sweet is that!' Another mentioned, 'Oh my God, how cute! I probably would've never thought of that.'
One user even left a funny comment saying, 'Oh how cute!!!! We thought our daughter's first word would be a bark !' While some even praised the pooch. A person mentioned, 'Elvis the best teacher!' And despite the baby's unique dog-like habit as shown in the video, the parents seem to have no issues as their son 'Learned from the best,' their pet dog.

Mom Blends Families 'So Hard' Newborn Needs Both Her Baby Daddies
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A family online is leveraging their connections for a newborn's needs in an act of all-hands-on-deck parenting. An Instagram reel posted by friends Megan Stortz and Tiffany Paskas has offered a glimpse into the unique support system of Paskas, a new mother who is being helped by her husband, her husband's ex-wife and her new husband. Paskas and Stortz, both 30, spoke to Newsweek about the viral moment of co-parenting beyond societal expectations. "Blended so hard sometimes she needs both my baby husband [and] my ex," Stortz captioned the video. "Every dad is on duty here." The video captures Paskas' baby being lovingly attended to by her husband, Michael, and Michael's ex-wife's current husband, Travis. "We are a blended family that came about when Michael and Megan divorced," Paskas explained. Initially navigating the complexities of co-parenting, Stortz reached out to Paskas, seeking a healthier path forward. This outreach blossomed into a genuine friendship between the two women. Through this friendship, both husbands on each side ended up creating a friendship and all four adults found a healthier way to communicate for the sake of coparenting—as well as including their children from the new relationships into the mix. They said this inclusive approach shapes their daily lives, with regular gatherings for their sons' sports activities, shared family outings and casual meetups that allow all the children to connect. Michael and Stortz have two sons from their marriage, the oldest of which the four share custody of—and Paskas now cherishes the arrival of her daughter, her "rainbow baby," a joyous moment previously covered by Newsweek after Paskas' long journey with fertility issues. While co-parenting with four people naturally presents differences in opinion, the friends say the rewards of their blended family are significant. "The biggest joy is having such a big family to support and love our kids, so our kids truly have a village as well as having each other without needing to be bonded by blood," Paskas said. The Instagram reel, with both father figures present and caring, communicates the strength and unity of their blended family—and through sharing their story, they said they hope to offer a hopeful perspective on life after divorce. "We aren't trying to glamorous divorce, but trying to show people one of the positive possibilities that can come from a divorce," Stortz said. "It isn't always easy, and it isn't always perfect, but even the little benefits make it all worth the effort we put in."

Stalker put AirTag in victim's car to track her
A man who stalked a woman and put a tracking device on her car to follow her movements has been jailed. Northampton Crown Court heard Wayne Stead, 48, of Stimpson Avenue in the town, started harassing her, making threats and turning up unannounced at her home after their relationship broke down in 2023. He was jailed for two and a half years and handed an indefinite restraining order after pleading guilty to stalking involving serious alarm or distress. PC Rich Horsburgh from Northamptonshire Police said: "The ordeal that Wayne Stead subjected this woman to was nothing short of horrific." "Her bravery in coming forward, despite her very real fear that he would make good on his threats to harm her, is remarkable," he added. The court heard Stead started calling and messaging the woman at all hours of the day and night after their relationship broke down. He placed an Apple AirTag, which are designed to help people find missing items, in her car. Concerns have previously been raised about the devices being used by stalkers. The woman reported Stead to the police in August 2024, telling them she had moved into a hotel and was in fear of her life. He denied the offences but, before his trial took place, he changed his plea to guilty and was charged with 30 months' imprisonment on 28 April at Northampton Crown Court. He was also given an indefinite restraining order preventing him from contacting the woman or going near her home. A charge of burglary against him was dropped after prosecutors offered no evidence.
