Boston Celtics fans should bark when backup big man Luke Kornet makes a big play
Boston Celtics fans should bark when backup big man Luke Kornet makes a big play. Or at least that is the opinion of fellow Stay Ready Crew member Sam Hauser, who recently encouraged fans of the team to show their support for his burgeoning game after Boston blew out the Washington Wizards.
Kornet spent a fair amount of his tenure with the Celtics buried in the rotation behind a number of capable big men. But this season, with veteran forward Al Horford and (then) injured center Kristaps Porzingis sitting out for many nights this campaign, the Vanderbilt alum has taken full advantage of his opportunities. In light of that growth, Hauser has led the charge for a very canine manner of support for his fellow bench teammate.
The folks behind the "CLNS Media Boston Sports Network" YouTube channel put together a clip of the interview in question. Check it out below!

Boston Celtics waive recently-crowned G League MVP JD Davison
According to a league source, the Celtics are waiving guard JD the G League MVP, is no longer eligible for a two-way contract with the Cs but could sign one elsewhere or compete for a roster now have one open spot, but no move imminent. The Boston Celtics have waived JD Davison. The 22-year-old guard, who was named as the 2025 G-League MVP, will now become an unrestricted free agent and will be free to sign with any team in the NBA. Davison spent three seasons with the Boston Celtics, with all three of them coming on a two-way deal (except for the final few weeks of the 2024-25 season, where he signed a full-scale NBA contract). As such, Davison is ineligible to sign another two-way contract with Boston, but is free to do so with another franchise. By waiving Davison, the Celtics have ducked under the second luxury tax apron while also opening up a roster spot. However, more moves will need to be made if Boston wishes to completely avoid the second apron. Davison was drafted with the 53rd pick in the 2022 NBA draft. He's played in a total of 36 regular-season games for the Celtics, averaging 1.9 points per game on 38.5% shooting from the field and 28.1% from 3-point range. Before entering the NBA, Davison was a one-and-done prospect out of Alabama, where he played in 33 games, averaging 8.5 points, 4.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds per outing. After showcasing his skills in the G League in recent years, he now needs to land with a roster that can provide him with legitimate playing time, so that he can continue to develop his game against high-level competition. Unfortunately, that role wasn't going to be available for him on the Celtics, even with the current roster retooling that's taking place. Fabrizio Romano confirms interest in €50m-rated forward
Liverpool have already conducted a record-shattering summer transfer window with the promise of even MORE to come. We've seen Florian Wirtz arrive in a British record deal. The German cost £100m upfront and that fee could rise to £116m if all add-ons are activated. Then there's Hugo Ekitike. LFC x New Era Shop Now LFC Signed Merch Shop Now LFC x Titleist Shop Now The France under-21 striker has come on board from Eintracht Frankfurt for an initial £69m fee. But Liverpool have also been active in other positions - adding Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Giorgi Mamardashvili. It takes their total spend to over £250m and Richard Hughes is not done there. Alexander Isak remains in the club's sights and we could also see a centre-back deal done before the end of the window. Diaz leaving opens a space in the Liverpool squad Much will depend on outgoings at this point. It's no secret Liverpool are looking for buyers for Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez. Diaz is the subject of intense rumours linking him with Bayern Munich. Should the German side get close to Liverpool's valuation then he will be off. Nunez, meanwhile, has been spoken about as a potential signing for the Saudi Pro League. If he goes then Liverpool should be able to fund a move for Isak. A gap will open up on the left wing if Diaz joins Bayern. And with Liverpool flush with an extra €80m or so, the club will have the option to fund a replacement. Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier in the week that Bayern had got Malick Fofana on the list as an alternative to Diaz. €50m Fofana on the Liverpool list The Lyon winger, 20, has been one of the breakout stars of the last 12 months and whoever ends up signing the Belgian will be acquiring an elite winger who could star for a decade or more. Now that there appears to be an accord in sight between Liverpool and Bayern for Diaz, it means that €50m to €60m-rated Fofana is a suitor down. And now the Italian transfer supremo has claimed that Liverpool have got him on the list as a potential Diaz replacement. Romano: Liverpool appreciate Fofana "Don't forget Malick Fofana, who is a player appreciated at Bayern Munich — in case they can't sign Luis Díaz,' he revealed in a YouTube video. 'That's an exclusive story from the start of the week. 'He's also appreciated by Liverpool, but not the only option in the winger position. There are several clubs interested in Malick Fofana, and Liverpool are considering several options." © IMAGO - Malick Fofana Liverpol

Listen to Genesis' Le Mans Hypercar Roar to Life for the First Time
The latest car news, reviews, and features. Genesis has been busy assembling its racing team ahead of next year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, and this week's announcement celebrates a milestone that the young team will remember forever. The Genesis Magma Racing's GMR-001 Hypercar has officially roared to life for the first time at the team's HQ at the Circuit Paul Ricard in France. According to today's announcement, the first fire-up as a complete race car (engine mounted to the chassis) took place on July 9, under the supervision of chassis supplier Oreca, which is also based in Le Castellet near the team's shop. The first fire-up of the engine alone actually took place back in February. This footage posted to YouTube shows the tension leading up to the car's first firing, which, at least on video, went without a hitch. The GMR-001 will compete in the WEC Hypercar class for the entire 2026 season, which, of course, features the most famous endurance race of all, Le Mans. It's powered by a 3.2-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine, though the brand has not revealed more detailed specs. However, Genesis has not been shy about the shared technology between this engine and the 1.6-litre inline-four found in the i20 N rally car. The first rolling tests for the prototype are expected to take place next month, and sometime after that, hopefully, Genesis will tell us who will round up its driver lineup. The only two pilots confirmed so far are endurance racing veteran Pipo Derani and three-time Le Mans winner Andre Lotterer. Got a tip? Email us at tips@
