This wildly popular pizza restaurant from Kendall is coming to South Miami

Kendall's favorite pizza spot is planning to pop up in South Miami.
Known for its Detroit-style pies with a crispy, airy crust, Vice City Pizza is taking over the restaurant Bar Bella in South Miami for a summer residency.
Starting Saturday, June 14, at Bar Bella, you'll be able to order the square-cut pizzas from Chef Carlos Estarita, which are made with Vice City's special two-day fermented dough.
You can order a simple square of cheese or sausage, of course, but Vice City is best known for its special pizzas, including the Roni & Hot Honey (pepperoni and Mike's Hot Honey); the Brie and Fig (mozzarella, brie, gorgonzola, caramelized onion, pistachio and fig jam) and the Ron Swanson (bacon, pepperoni, fennel sausage, banana peppers and Mike's Hot Honey), named for everybody's favorite carnivore on the TV series 'Parks and Recreation.'
The Bar Bella menu, which featured tapas and barbecue items, will not be available throughout the residency. But the restaurant's back bar Abi Maria, named for owner Jorgie Ramos' old spot in Downtown Dadeland that closed in 2023, is bringing back its bites menu. You'll find choices like cured meats and cheeses, chicken wings and small plates like calamari, truffle tots, Bolognese arancini and proscuitto croquetas.
Ramos, who co-owns Vice City Pizza with Estarita and is also the owner of Cebada Rooftop in Coral Gables, opened Bar Bella in late 2024 in the former space of Taco Craft.
Now located at 2615 SW 147th Ave., Vice City Pizza came to life as a pandemic pop up (the original Abi Maria was one of the first places the popular pizzas were served). Estarita quickly became known for making all sorts of nontraditional pies, like La Colombiana, with Colombian hot dog slices, homemade pineapple jam, garlic cilantro sauce, bacon and black forest ham or El Cubiche, with caja china pork, confit garlic and onions and mojo aioli.
If South Miami is as booming as Ramos believes, Vice City should fit in nicely.
'All the elements of this neighborhood are ready to explode,' Ramos told the Miami Herald earlier this year. 'Going out two blocks from your home and having good food and drinks and not worrying about parking is great. . . . South Miami is what the Grove used to be. It's surrounded by great neighborhoods and people desperate to stay close to home.'
The Vice City residency is scheduled to run through September.

Zegna SS26 Is Laid-Back Luxury At its Finest

Zegnatook its runway presentation away from Milan for the first time to showcase its SS26 collection in Dubai, along with bringing its travelling 'Villa Zegna' brand experience to the destination. Kicked off by a live piano performance from British singer and producerJames Blake, the runway show took on a more relaxed tone than Zegna's more austere contemporary sensibilities presented in previous seasons. The opening looks are made with various lightweight, pre-wrinkled fabrics covered in desert-hued checks and stripes. Characterized by popped collars, open chests, barefoot with sandals in tow, and garments tied from the neck and waist, the styling gives further emphasis to the vacation-ready mood. Then Zegna takes the audience to a verdant oasis with a burst of green looks, featuring a spectrum of lime, olive, and forest green. Textured linens, light wools, and lustrous silks are used for cleanly tailored blousons, two-piece sets, and pleated shorts. Key design details include Safari-style utility pockets, monk and camp collars, and deep V-necks. Finally, the show closes with a saturated sunset palette, featuring violet-tinted pinks, warm coral, maroon, and deep Bordeaux reds. The exuberant finale demonstrates Zegna's more expressive and youthful side, speaking to Gen Z's tastes with candy-colored pieces, including a pink, oversized waffle knit polo and high-cut pink dress shorts. The wealthy UAE desert city, known for its luxury shopping malls and futuristic mega towers, is an important market for the brand, given the country's growing luxury clientele. According toWWD, in 2024, Ermenegildo Zegna Group, which also owns Thom Browne and Tom Ford Fashion, sales exceeded $700M USD in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, making for 35% of the group's revenues. Zegna has six stores in the city, as well as other Middle East outposts in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Turkey. See the gallery above for a closer look at the Zegna SS26 collection.

Trump and Melania Are Booed, Cheered During MAGA's Night Out at Kennedy Center Premiere

The Trump Administration's big night out at the re-tooled Kennedy Center, the Capitol venue now being led by the president after a stunning coup as he stormed back into the Oval Office, was marked by a protest attendance by local drag queens and an eruption of booing and reactive MAGA-rally-style chants from the crowd on Wednesday. The president and First Lady Melania Trump attended the Kennedy Center Opera House debut of a touring group's performance of the smash hit musical Les Misérables — the beloved show that grew in popularity in 1980s New York as Trump made a name for himself in tandem as a commercial real estate mogul and tabloid fixture. As armed National Guard troops mobilized by Trump remain in Los Angeles to stand guard federal buildings amid initially peaceful protests but also are accompanying ICE in immigration raids, he and the first lady walked a red carpet ahead of the debut of the musical, which focuses the poor and downtrodden fighting with the resistance at the dawn of revolution. The show is a favorite of Trump's, he said from the red carpet on Wednesday. Gavin Newsom Found: 'The 33' Casts Actor as Politician in Film About Homeless Crisis (Exclusive) The political musical is the first show to land at the premier Washington, D.C. venue since Trump took control of the institution in February. Within the first month of his second term, Trump fired its entire board then replaced them with loyalists including Susie Wiles, his chief of staff, Second Lady Usha Vance, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick's wife, Allison, and Fox News hosts Maria Bartiromo and Laura Ingraham; the new hand selected board soon voted him in as the chairman. Wednesday night was purportedly a fundraising event for the suddenly cash-strapped venue. The event's gold sponsors paid $2 million for 10 premier seats, a photo op with the president and 10 VIP reception tickets. Squared in with many members of his cabinet, Trump stood in the presidential box after seating, a few boos grew and were peppered with heckles shouted from above. This gave way to some cheers and a chanting of 'U.S.A! U.S.A!' from some of the president's supporters in attendance. As the president exited the theater, a woman yelled, 'Felon, you're a convicted felon!' at Trump. She got in another clearer, 'Convicted felon, rapist!' before security intervened. That outburst and the scattered booing weren't the only protest at the Kennedy Center last night, either. Seated in front of the presidential box was a group of four drag queens, whose noticeable attendance in the crowd, a mix of D.C's new MAGA elite and arts patrons of the very blue District, was a response to Trump's comment while overtaking the beloved institution that there would now be no 'woke' performances or drag shows at the Kennedy Center. '[This gives] a message of inclusivity. I really love musicals, I mean I'm a drag queen,' performer Tara Hoot told CNN while dressed in a hot pink dress and fluffy boa. The four queens, who The Advocate reports received tickets provided by supportive season ticket holders, mingled in the crowd ahead of the curtain, rubbing shoulders with attendees that included Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan, Vice President J.D. Vance, Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr., and adviser Corey Lewandowski. While entering the storied venue, the quad received a warm reception, mostly from locals complimenting their fashion choices and sizable hair. Ahead of the touring group of Les Misérables' Washington debut, there was also controversy from the cast. Ten of the 12 principal players said they would boycott the night over Trump's attendance. It's unclear how many of the show's actors followed through on this threat. None of this seemed to bother Trump, whose unprecedented escalation of the federal response to L.A.'s protests this week saw a journalist shot with a rubber bullet while on camera. 'I couldn't care less, honestly, I couldn't,' he replied. 'All I do is run the country — well.'
