Former Texas A&M DL had the highest tackling grade for his position per PFF rankings
Texas A&M has put a handful of defensive players in the NFL that have been making a major impact for their respective teams.
The recent names that jump out are future Hall of Famer Myles Garrett, All-Pro Nnamdi Madubuike, and rookie standout Edgerrin Cooper. However, another solid defensive lineman has been floating under the radar for a few years.
2021 fourth-round pick Bobby Brown III spent his first two years in the NFL as a reserve interior defensive lineman for the Los Angeles Rams. Through those first two seasons, he played in 19 games starting one only logging nine tackles and TFL playing behind Aaron Donald.
In 2023, he cracked the starting lineup, and his production increased dramatically with 31 tackles and recording his first NFL sack. In 2024, he increased his tackles to 44 and had 4 TFL's not letting anyone away from his grasp once he got his hands on them.
Brown graded out as the No. 1 interior defensive lineman when it came to the highest tackling grade according to PFF. He finished the 2024 season with a grade of 80.1 in that category and is getting better each season.

Texas A&M baseball lands commitment from former Baylor left-handed pitcher

The Texas A&M baseball program added another impressive arm to its bullpen on Saturday night, as the Aggies landed the commitment from one of the Big 12 Conference's most promising stars. Head coach Michael Earley landed former Baylor left-handed pitcher Carson Bailey via the transfer portal, according to reports from TexAgs. As a freshman for the Bears in 2025, Bailey struck out 56 batters in 53.1 innings pitched with his impressive repertoire of pitches on the mound. Before signing with Baylor baseball in 2023, Bailey was a three-year letter winner at J.J. Pearce High School, as he led his team to back-to-back district titles in 2022 and 2023. In just eight starts as a sophomore in high school, he struck out 65 batters in 35 innings of work. After an injury sidelined him during his junior season, Bailey fired back by posting a 1.50 ERA and 88 strikeouts as a senior. After a full season with the Bears in Waco, Texas, the No. 43 lefty in the 2024 class announced his commitment to Earley and the Texas A&M baseball program, giving the Aggies some good late-night news this weekend. The offseason additions via the portal and high school recruiting continue to give the club momentum heading into next year's campaign. After a lackluster season in 2025, Texas A&M will hope to bounce back and silence any doubters by performing well and avoiding missing postseason play. If the program wants to change the current narratives, the first step to doing so is to build around the future of the program. With additions like Bailey to the bullpen, the future could be getting brighter if Earley can develop his young stars. Predicting Steelers potential trade package for Jalen Ramsey

There is nothing more exciting than trade speculation — and there has been no shortage of it with the Jalen Ramsey to Pittsburgh rumors. Luckily for the Steelers, however, acquiring the Dolphins' All-Pro cornerback could come at a bargain, as Miami is likely desperate to offload his massive contract. The Rams demanded just a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long in the trade that sent Ramsey from Los Angeles to Miami — but that was two years ago, when his contract was more feasible. Advertisement Ramsey's current deal, which expires in 2029, is far from ideal for any team looking to acquire him — with $25 million due in 2026, $26.8 million in 2027, and $36.1 million in 2028. That financial burden should force the Dolphins to settle for a Day 3 draft pick. In addition to Miami potentially eating some of his contract, the Steelers could theoretically acquire Ramsey for a fourth- or fifth-round draft pick — potentially creating the most dangerous secondary in the NFL with cornerbacks Joey Porter Jr. and Darius Slay Jr., as well as safeties Minkah Fitzpatrick and DeShon Elliott. Will the Steelers pull the trigger on the blockbuster trade, or will the Dolphins corner be sent elsewhere? Pete Carroll will always oppose re-seeding the playoffs after a big win in Seattle

Pete Carroll strongly opposed the proposal that would have taken away a guaranteed home playoff team from division winners, a stance rooted in his own coaching history. For decades, NFL division winners have earned the right to open the playoffs on their home fields, regardless of their records, while wild card teams hit the road. A proposal this offseason suggested that if a division winner had a losing record, the wild card could be the home team when they met in the playoffs. Carroll's 2010 Seahawks went 7-9 in the regular season but won the NFC West, faced the 11-5 Saints in the first round of the playoffs, and won an upset in Seattle. That game is best remembered for Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch's iconic 'Beast Quake' touchdown run, one of the greatest plays in NFL history, and Carroll reminisced about it on Lynch's podcast with fellow former Seahawk Mike Robinson. 'I wasn't voting for that other rule. I was voting for the division winners,' Carroll said. 'I like the structure and I like the championship within the championship. That's just part of it. Remember? Own the NFC West was our deal, and own the AFC West is what it is now.' Carroll said anyone who thinks a division winner with a losing record can't make noise in the playoffs need only remember what those 7-9 Seahawks did. 'Remember what we did with it? Remember that freaking game? Nobody ever thought — they were saying, 'This is the worst matchup in the history of the NFL, and we were going to get murdered,'' Carroll said. For this year, the playoff seeding will be unchanged. It's possible that the NFL could revisit the rule next year. If so, expect Carroll to be a voice at the league meeting in favor of guaranteeing division winners home-field advantage.
