Irish Maura Higgins ‘lookalike' set to star in new season of Love Island
The dating show is set to return to TV next week
An up-and-coming Irish actress, who is the image of Maura Higgins, is set to star on the brand new season of Love Island.
The cast of the ITV dating show was unveiled today.
Megan Forte Clarke (24) hails from Dublin but lives in Brighton, England.
An insider told MailOnline that the show's producers are hoping she will be just as popular as Maura Higgins.
'Megan is a gorgeous girl, she's funny, and right now, couldn't be unluckier in love, making her the perfect Islander.
'Comparisons to Maura are inevitable and if anything, Megan will see it as a huge compliment.'
Longford model Maura Higgins appeared on the 2019 series of the show, and went on to become a fan favourite.

Her time on the ITV dating show propelled her into the spotlight, garnering her a highly successful career as a model and presenter.
Boasting more than 7,000 followers on Instagram, Megan also has more than 20,000 followers on TikTok.
Describing herself as a 'musical theatre performer', the brunette beauty also works as an energy broker.
Ahead of the show's return on Monday, June 9th, Clarke opened up about the type of man she's looking for in the villa.
'Someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously and has a sense of humour. If they're not bad looking, that's always a plus,' she said.
'I love a boy that's a bit pasty, like Timothée Chalamet. I don't mind scrawny, or a bit of a 'dad bod'.
'I'm 5ft1 so any height really.'

When asked about her 'claim to fame', the theatre lover said: 'Me and my friends made a Derry Girls TikTok for Halloween and it went a bit viral around Brighton.
'Sometimes I get stopped in the street about it. I've also done Panto.'

The show, which is hosted by Maya Jama is set to have 'more twists than ever.'
"This year Love Island needs something bigger, something bolder, I want ideas,' she said in the show's trailer.

Mr Kohli had been walking his dog Rocky just yards away from his home at Franklin Park, Braunstone Town, near Leicester, on September 1 last year, when he was kicked and punched by the balaclava-clad boy. He suffered a broken neck and fractured ribs, and had been racially abused, laughed at by the girl, and left on the ground before his children found him severely injured on that evening. The grandfather died in hospital the next day. In a letter written by the boy two months after the attack, he claimed to be suffering flashbacks and said 'I feel like my case is evil'. The 15-year-old also wrote in the letter 'I accept I did it and I am doing time' and 'I kinda just needed anger etc releasing'. The girl had filmed a series of video clips in which Mr Kohli was slapped with the shoe by the masked boy and another where the 80-year-old lay motionless on the ground. She took a photograph of Mr Kohli on her phone the week before the alleged incident, but denied that she used this to 'target' him, the trial heard. Police also recovered a video from her phone of a group of children 'confronting' an unknown man on a separate occasion, who was hit to the back of the head and called a 'P*** bastard' while she was heard laughing. He was a loving dad, grandad, brother and uncle, a retired businessman and a close friend to many, including people who lived in our local community. 'He was an amazing man who loved life. Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins on ‘ridiculous' feud rumours
The White Lotus co-stars Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins have both denied rumours that either of them are in a feud as 'ridiculous'. There has been speculation that the two co-stars had drifted apart after being on the HBO show, which follows the lives of guests and staff at a luxury resort as dark secrets are revealed and tensions rise over the course of the holiday. The third series sees the positive Chelsea, played by British actress Wood, 31, try to keep her mysterious older boyfriend, Rick, played by 53-year-old US actor Goggins, calm in Thailand.
