The Winnipeg Police Service has issued a silver alert for a missing 79-year-old woman.
Cecile Storey was last seen near Manitoba Avenue and Powers Street at around 9 p.m. on Monday.
She is described as four-foot-seven in height with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Storey's whereabouts is asked to contact the missing persons unit at 204-986-6250 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
Silver alerts are issued when a vulnerable adult is reported missing.

On June 12 just after 8:30 a.m., police said a man was seen pointing a handgun at passing cars near Burrows Avenue and McKenzie Street. He then ran inside a private residence in the 600 block of Alfred Avenue, according to police. Patrol officers along with the tactical support team and the remotely piloted aircraft systems unit found five people within the residence, who were safely arrested. A search warrant was executed, and with help from the firearms investigation and enforcement unit, a 12-gauge shotgun, a pellet gun, 'a large quantity of ammunition,' 'various firearms components,' and body armour were seized. Police said three of the arrested individuals were held in custody, who have all been charged with multiple firearms-related offences. A 35-year-old man and 36-year-old woman were also charged with firearms offences and were released on undertakings.

Quebec provincial police are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman after they were found badly injured in downtown Sherbrooke, Que., in the early hours of Sunday. Local police were called to Ball Street around 2 a.m. by a passerby after they found a severely injured man, 38, outside. While police were erecting a perimeter around the site, they discovered a 32-year-old woman who was unconscious inside a residence. Both were transported to hospital where the woman was declared dead shortly after. The man succumbed to his injuries a few hours later. The investigation has been transferred to the provincial police force, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ). SQ spokesperson Louis-Philippe Ruel says they established what the relationship was between the two victims but would not share what they found.

Calgary police investigate suspicious death downtown on Saturday

The Calgary police homicide unit has been called in to investigate the death of a woman in downtown Calgary on Saturday evening. Police responded to reports of a woman in medical distress around 6:30 p.m. on June 14 in the 1100 block of 12 Avenue southwest. Officers arriving at the scene located the woman; she was transported to hospital where she was declared dead. Police aren't releasing any other details, but said there is no risk to the public.
