Solidarity walk held to honour armed forces

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association and athletes from Peshawar organized a solidarity walk from Peshawar Sports Complex to Saddar Stadium Chowk to pay glowing tributes to the armed forces and express unity with them. The walk was led by former provincial sports minister Syed Aqil Shah and was attended by President of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association Haroon Zafar, former world squash legend Qamar Zaman, Assistant Director of Sports Shah Faisal, Ilyas Afridi and Zulfiqar Butt as well as a large number of athletes and individuals associated with sports. Participants of the rally carried banners and placards bearing slogans in praise of the Pakistan Army and chanted slogans against Indian aggression and in favour of the armed forces. While addressing the solidarity walk, Syed Aqil Shah said that by provoking Pakistan, India had signed its own death warrant. "This is neither 1965 nor 1971; it is 2025 now. We will not let India escape this time. We are proud of our armed forces, and they will not disappoint us. They will bravely confront India on all fronts and make Pakistan proud." He described the timely and remarkable retaliatory action of the Pakistani forces as a historic victory, stating that in a single day, the pride of India had been crushed. "The armed forces of Pakistan deserve praise in every respect — this will be remembered for ages," he added. Speakers at the rally said that India seemed to be under the illusion that it could intimidate Pakistan, but our forces crushed that illusion in a single night, stripping India of its arrogance.
