Kanye West leaves X
It was not immediately clear if the artist and entrepreneur, who legally changed his name to Ye, deactivated the account himself or if X took it down.
"I'm logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent. It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board. It was like an Ayahuasca trip," he wrote in his final post, referring to the owner of X, Elon Musk.
"As a final goodbye, Ye concluded, "Love all of you who gave me your energy and attention. To we connect again [sic]. Good afternoon and goodnight."
It's a familiar pattern for Ye, 47, who is now in the headlines as often for his provocative, often hate-filled rants as he is for his music.
The rapper has been locked out of social media platforms in the past, notably when he was banned from X for nearly eight months for violating rules barring incitement to violence.
On Friday many of his posts centred on the Jewish community, featuring messages such as "I love Hitler" and "I'm a Nazi", as reported by Sky News. Additionally, Ye's most recent missives also included comments in support of music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who is imprisoned on sex trafficking charges. Following the posts, Ye's account had a "sensitive content warning" added to it.
Before leaving the platform, the rapper also referred to the stunt he pulled at the Grammys last week with his wife Bianca Censori, who appeared virtually nude on the red carpet ahead of the awards gala.
X did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
For years, Ye has spoken openly about his struggles with bipolar disorder. He recently said on The Download podcast that he in fact has an autism diagnosis.

Finneas recalls awkward Taylor Swift moment that still embarrasses him years later
Finneas O'Connell has revealed the celebrity encounter that continues to embarrass him years later — an awkward exchange with Taylor Swift at her 32nd birthday party in 2021. The 28-year-old Grammy-winning musician, best known for his work with sister Billie Eilish, spoke about the moment in a new interview with The Guardian. He recalled arriving at the party, which Swift hosted alongside Haim's Alana Haim, and accidentally saying 'Thanks for coming' to the birthday girl. 'I said 'Thanks for coming' to Taylor Swift. At her birthday party. She said, 'Thank you so much for coming,' and I said, 'Thank you for coming!'' Finneas explained. He had previously shared the story in a 2022 Instagram Q&A, noting he meant to say 'Thanks for inviting me.' The musician was promoting his work with The Favors bandmate Ashe when he revisited the anecdote, describing it as his 'most cringeworthy run-in with a celebrity.' In the same interview, Finneas revealed he is skilled at doing impressions and named Extreme Makeover: Home Edition as the reality show he would most like to join, citing fond memories of host Ty Pennington. Sharing the best advice he has received, Finneas recalled a mastering engineer telling him, 'If something ever goes wrong, you just rock out.' With ten Grammys already to his name, Finneas continues to balance high-profile collaborations with personal creative projects.

Weeknd tells fan to stop insulting Drake in resurfaced video amid speculation on their relationship
The Weeknd has urged a fan to stop making negative remarks about fellow Toronto artist Drake, according to a resurfaced video shared on social media. In a clip posted by Twitter user D. Rodgers, the singer — whose real name is Abel Tesfaye — was seen greeting and signing autographs for fans outside what appeared to be a hotel. At one point, a fan shouted 'F*ck Drake' in an attempt to get his attention. Tesfaye responded by telling the fan, 'You got to stop saying that sh*t, though.' Video surfaces of The Weeknd telling a fan to stop saying 'f*ck Drake' 'Stop saying that shit tho' — Akademiks TV (@AkademiksTV) August 9, 2025 It is unclear when or where the video was recorded. The interaction could have taken place at any point over the past several years, given the artists' complicated relationship history. The Weeknd and Drake have experienced both collaboration and conflict since their early days working together, including Tesfaye's contributions to Drake's 2011 album Take Care. While the two have reconciled at times, tensions have reportedly resurfaced in recent years, with fans and commentators speculating about subtle disses in music and public appearances. Drake's disputes with other artists, including A$AP Rocky, Future, and Kendrick Lamar, have also fueled speculation about the Toronto rapper's industry relationships. However, Tesfaye's comment in the resurfaced clip suggests he may prefer to keep his own situation with Drake out of public disputes. Neither artist has publicly addressed the clip as of publication. Whether the exchange signals a cooling of tensions or simply a desire to avoid further public animosity remains unclear, but the moment has reignited discussion among fans about the possibility of reconciliation between the two Canadian superstars.
