Jailer Actor Vinayakan Arrested Again For Drinking And Disorderly Behaviour In Kerala

Malayalam actor Vinayakan, known for his role in Rajinikanth's starrer Jailer, was arrested in Kollam, Kerala, for allegedly causing a disturbance at a hotel while under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred during his checkout from a hotel where he had been staying since May 2 for a film shoot. The video has also gone viral on social media.
Hindustan Times has reported that Vinayakan was taken into custody on May 8 in Anchalummoodu, Kerala, after he screamed at hotel authorities upon being asked to complete check-out formalities. Following this, the hotel staff called the police, who arrived and took Vinayakan into custody. A case has also been filed against the actor under section 118 (a) (found in a public place, in an intoxicated manner) of the Kerala Police Act at the Anchalummoodu station. Reportedly, he was released on bail later.
Earlier, Vinayakan landed in controversy for his unruly behaviour in public. In September last year, while flying from Kochi to Goa, the actor got into a scuffle with CISF personnel at the airport. The actor was allegedly drunk at that time, too.

The video, which quickly went viral, has sparked widespread criticism. It shows Vinayakan aggressively yelling at his neighbour from the balcony of his home and also displaying indecent behaviour by removing his mundu (dhoti).
During this angry outburst, the actor also falls to the ground but he keeps screaming obscenities and exposing himself. The video has been trending on X (formerly known as Twitter) since morning.
Following the backlash, Vinakayan issued a public apology, acknowledging his actions and expressing regret for the incident. The actor took to Facebook to write in Malayalam which is loosely translated in English as, 'As a film actor and as a person, I cannot handle many issues. I apologise to the public for all the negative energy that has come from my side. Let the discussions continue."
On the work front, Vinayakan will reportedly be seen next in Karinthandan and Dhruva Natchathiram. The actor is known for his works in Malayalam and Tamil films. In Malayalam, he was last seen in Unni Mukundan's Rs 100-crore grosser, Marco. In Rajinikanth's Tamil film, Jailer, he played the role of Varman.

I started drinking at a very young so this was the first time the brain fog lifted." Earlier, in an interview Fardeen had spoken about taking time off from movies as he was concentrating on his personal life. Him and his wife Natasha had moved to London and they were facing trouble having children. He said during a chat with Bollywood Hungama, "We were having challenges having children, and that's when we decided to take the IVF route. That's why I needed to take some time off. It wasn't meant to be this long. I thought only for a few years… get everything settled, but things didn't happen that way. Earlier, responding to speculation after Zero's teaser launch, SRK categorically denied any similarities between the two characters, insisting that the story of Zero goes far beyond physical stature. 'It's About Incompleteness, Not Height' As reported by Peeping Moon when asked whether Bauua Singh shared any traits with Appu Raja, Shah Rukh Khan responded firmly: 'Not at all. This film is not about a vertically-challenged person. It's about incompleteness.' He clarified that while Bauua Singh happens to be short in stature, Zero is a film that delves into human flaws, emotional vulnerabilities, and how individuals find joy in spite of them. He added that the film sought to break stereotypes, especially the outdated idea that people with disabilities or differences are relegated to circus-like settings in narratives. 'One of the other things that we didn't want to have is that it's a given that if you're vertically challenged, you would be in a circus. We didn't want that in the film,' he stated. Punjab Police seek Tinder account details suspected to be linked to Amritpal Singh
NEW DELHI: Punjab Police has requested details from dating platform Tinder regarding an account potentially connected to Khadoor Sahib MP , who faces charges in a Sikh activist's murder case. Nau was affiliated with 'Waris Punjab De', an organisation led by Amritpal Singh. Last October, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that Nau's killing was allegedly orchestrated by Amritpal Singh, who is presently detained under the National Security Act. Authorities indicated that gangster-turned-terrorist (Arsh Dalla) orchestrated the killing. Two gang members involved in the shooting have been arrested under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Arms Act. The police communication dated May 26, viewed by PTI on Saturday, detailed the investigation of murder case FIR No. 159 dated October 10, 2024, registered at Sadar Kotkapura Police Station, Faridkot. "On 09-10-2024, Gurpreet Singh, a well-known online activist, was shot dead by two assailants on a motorcycle. The deceased managed a Facebook page 'Hari Nau Talks' and had been outspoken against the Sikh radical Amritpal Singh. Shooters have been apprehended and are under investigation." "During the course of investigation, a Tinder account under the name 'Amrit Sandhu' (screenshot attached) was identified, and the account is suspected to be linked with Amritpal Singh, accused in the said FIR. The communication and analysis of data might provide evidence to the Investigating Agency relevant to the FIR," the police wrote. They also seek information about linked accounts, media files, contacts and chat history. Amritpal Singh, representing Khadoor Sahib constituency, is currently imprisoned in Dibrugarh jail, Assam, under the National Security Act (NSA). As leader of 'Waris Punjab De', Amritpal, who modelled himself after Khalistani militant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, was imprisoned alongside nine associates under the NSA.
