Love Island 2025 line-up confirmed in full as start date just days away
Love Island is just days away and this year's line-up has finally been confirmed, with fans in for a treat. A fresh set of singletons are set to descend on the iconic ITV2 villa on Monday 9 June for its twelfth season in the hopes of finding love.
Presenter Maya Jama is back on hand as host, and as always plenty of drama can be expected. This year, it looks like there will be plenty of fireworks as Maya has promised "more drama, more bombshells, more break-ups, more make-ups, and more twists".
It will be Maya's fourth season as Love Island host, having taken over from Laura Whitmore. She recently hit back at rumours about her departure, and reassured fans on Instagram that she is "not going anywhere" as she released the promo video for the new series.
She teased: "To the hottie this may concern, as per the last 11 series we're staying loyal to the entertainment and levelling up the twists.
"The stakeholders are aligned, the Islanders will be laying it on Factor 50, and we're on track to hit our KPI on drama. It's time to crack on and deliver serious results. Let's circle back soon. Warmest wishes."
Iain Stirling will also be joining her once again as the show's narrator. Based on previous seasons, the twelfth series is expected to run for eight weeks.
Viewers across the UK can tune in on ITV2 and ITVX on Monday June 9 and 9pm, while fans in Scotland can catch it on STV2 and the STV Player. This year marks a major milestone for the series, which is celebrating 10 years on air.
Fans don't have to wait any longer to find out who will be the first to waltz into the villa next week as the line-up has officially been released. They are...
Sophie, 29, from Manchester said she is looking for: "Someone who is fun, spontaneous, who has a lot of jokes and who is attentive. At the moment I'm only finding ones draped in red flags and 'do not cross' signs."
The motivational speaker and author was asked if she could be the CEO of anything, what would it be. She replied: "I'm the CEO of empowerment. I want women to feel beautiful and validated in themselves and feel their best self."
Personal trainer Dejon, 26, hopes he is coupled up with: "Someone who is beautiful on the inside and out, looks after themselves and is healthy."
Love Island won't be Dejon's first taste of fame, thanks to his dad. He explained: "My dad being an ex-professional footballer. I've met all kinds of famous people through him. When I was younger it was weird because he was just my dad, but we'd go to a game and fans were asking for photos. I've met David Beckham, he was really nice."
Meg, a payroll specialist from Southampton has set her sights on who she wants to meet in the villa. She said: "I'd like to meet someone who is tall, with a nice tan, nice eyes and a nice smile. He needs to have a good fashion sense and a really good, funny personality that I can get on with."
The 25-year-old has been brutally honest about her current love life as comapring it to a business she said she would be bankrupt. "But we're going to make sales and get on that corporate ladder and be booming. Profits, profits, profits!," she added.

Nick Kyrgios sparks relationship rumours with reality TV star and Costeen lookalike after leaving flirty messages on her photos
Nick Kyrgios appears to have his eye on a Costeen Hatzi lookalike following reports of his split from the influencer in March. The tennis player, 30, has sparked romance rumours with Love Island star Mia Dalkos after he was spotted leaving flirty comments on her Instagram page last week. The Greek-Australian, 23, whose real name is Efthimia Dalkos, attracted the athlete's attention late last month and has appeared to return his affections. A spark first seemed to appear on May 25 when Mia posted a video of herself at the hair salon, looking the spitting image of Nick's ex-partner Costeen. Nick left a flirty eye emoji beneath the post and Mia promptly responded with her own cheeky smiling emoji. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The following day, Mia shared a gallery of photos from her sister's wedding as she stepped out at the ceremony in a stunning black dress. 'Beautiful,' Nick wrote beneath the images, to which Mia also responded with a red love heart. Just a few days later, a fan noticed the flirty exchange and asked: 'Are you guys dating now?' Neither Nick or Mia have publicly confirmed anything outside of these exchanges. When Daily Mail Australia reached out to Nick's representatives for comment, they assured the pair are just 'good friends' who have known each other for some time. 'They have know each other for a while and are good friends! Big Gordon Ramsay fans also,' the spokesperson said. Costeen, 25, who began dating Nick in 2021, delivered a parting message to the tennis star last month following their split. Rumours had been bubbling away over the past few months the couple had broken up, with Nick appearing to unfollow the social media star on Instagram. Nick left a flirty eye emoji beneath the post and Mia promptly responded with her own cheeky smiling emoji The tennis star sparked rumours they split after he also removed Costeen's initials from his Instagram bio. Meanwhile, Costeen shared multiple cryptic posts, uploading a TikTok in which she appeared to mouth the words: 'Who the f*** did I marry? So at this point in time, I have filed for divorce.' She then confirmed the pair ended things on good terms, wishing the best for her ex-partner. 'I'm loving my work and doing content every day,' she told The Herald Sun. 'We haven't spoken, relationships come to an end. I believe it's for the best. I hope he finds peace and happiness within himself. 'I definitely entered the relationship with pure intentions. I loved him and thought we had a great connection.' Meanwhile, Mia, who appeared on Love Island Australia last year, made headlines in December when she enraged fans by admitting her relationship on the show was fake and she was then romantically involved with a man named Christo. The admission followed months of fervent online speculation one of the 2024 female contestants had applied for the reality dating show multiple times, despite having a boyfriend of six years named Christo. Mia, from Adelaide, entered the villa as a 'Greek goddess' bombshell and found an instant spark on-screen with Sydney-based Niko Fotopoulos, who she said she only had eyes for after one day of filming. Taking to her Instagram Stories in December after the show wrapped, Mia shocked fans by confirming she and Niko 'were never together'. 'No we're not still together. We actually never were together officially. We spoke for a few weeks after the villa but yeah, nah. We're civil. That's it,' she said in response to a fan question. The brunette beauty also clapped back at rumours she'd had a long-term boyfriend before the series. In doing so, she named her current partner: 'His name is Christo.' 'We were on talking terms. We were not in a committed relationship. He's talking to others. I'm talking to others,' Mia said as she shot down the allegations. 'We're very civil and we're actually friends. People just love to talk a lot of s*** though. Those rumours, man.' In September, Love Island 2022 winner Claudia Bonifazio made bombshell claims one of the 2024 contestants had a boyfriend of six years, but had applied to the series three 'years in a row' to realise her dream of becoming an influencer. The reality star, who is also from Adelaide, took to social media to put an unnamed female Love Island applicant on blast. 'If you have a boyfriend, don't apply to go on a reality dating show years in a row because it just proves what you're there for,' she said. Many South Australian Reddit users then claimed the contestant was Mia and that her alleged boyfriend is a Greek man named Christo, who wasn't able to be on Love Island due to a prior criminal offence. 'He dropped her off at the airport for Love Island and wanted to go on the show with her, but was told no because he's facing criminal charges for money laundering,' one Reddit user claimed. Yet another person claimed they saw Mia two weeks earlier at Lucky's Beach Club with Christo, who was spotted still wearing an ankle bracelet. In 2021, the Greek Herald reported Christo Nickolas, then 32, had been charged with two counts of money laundering. Mia, in her Instagram Stories, said she has 'no regrets at all' about going on the show. 'What about the rumours that you had a boyfriend back home during filming?' one fan asked in the Q&A session. 'Guys, it actually baffles me that for a second people think that "my partner" would be okay for me to go on national TV to meet another man. That is crazy,' Mia said as she firmly denied the allegations. Mia's official Love Island biography stated at the time: 'She recently got out of a long-term relationship that lasted for six years.'

Jessie J's celebrity friends leave touching messages of hope amid cancer journey
Jessie J, famed for Price Tag, Domino and other tunes, has been diagnosed with early breast cancer and plans to have surgery following her performance at this month's Summertime Ball Jessie J has received messages of support from celebrity friends - including Rochelle Humes - after announcing she has cancer. The singer, 37, said she will have surgery after her performance at the Summertime Ball and remained optimistic she will return with more hits. However, she admitted she "needs a hug" through the difficult time, having been diagnosed with the breast cancer at an early stage. Friends quickly shared messages of support, telling the songwriter how much they love her. Humes, who presents The Hit List with husband Marvin, said: "We love you so much." Former Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: "Sending you so much love" amid the flurry of public messages. And the rapper Wretch 32, whose real name is Jermaine Scott, said: "Continued strength and guidance, you're loved and you're cared for, you fight my gangster." Jessie J, born and raised in Chadwell Heath, east London, said in an Instagram video yesterday she has spent much of her recent time "in and out of tests". She stressed, though, she is "holding on to the word 'early'" and is looking at surgery in the coming weeks. But the musician, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, says she will still perform at the Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on Sunday June 15. She is on the line-up alongside the likes of Mariah Carey, Benson Boone and Tate Mcrae. Speaking in the Instagram clip, Jessie J said: "I just wanted to be open and share it... One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. "I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse - that's the bit that kills me. "The timing of it has been mad but also beautiful and given me this incredible perspective in this time. But honestly I need to process it and talk about it and, I need a hug. You have loved me through all my good and hard times. And I don't want this to be any different." The singer, who won the Critic's Choice award at the Brits in 2011, welcomed her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, having miscarried in November 2021. She has battled with ill health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020. Claire Taylor, chief nursing officer at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: "Receiving a cancer diagnosis is a life-changing moment for anybody and our thoughts are with Jessie and her family. "Her openness in sharing her story will not only bring comfort to others who are facing a similar situation, it will also raise vital awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early diagnosis. We know that diagnosing cancer early can mean treatment is more likely to be effective and potentially less complex."

Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins on ‘ridiculous' feud rumours
There has been speculation that the two co-stars had drifted apart after being on the HBO show, which follows the lives of guests and staff at a luxury resort as dark secrets are revealed and tensions rise over the course of the holiday. The third series sees the positive Chelsea, played by British actress Wood, 31, try to keep her mysterious older boyfriend, Rick, played by 53-year-old US actor Goggins, calm in Thailand. Following the 2025 series, Goggins appeared to step away from his fellow co-stars, and unfollow Greater Manchester-born Wood on Instagram. They both addressed the swirling rumours during a joint interview for US publication Variety, which was published on Wednesday. Goggins said: 'There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman (Aimee) madly, and she is so important to me.' He added that 'she's special', and explained he had not addressed the reports before as he did not want to talk about Wood when she was not there. 'I think it's such a comment on where we're at culturally. Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram? That is irrelevant. We don't give a shite about Instagram,' Wood said. Goggins said that when he finished The White Lotus he 'needed to just back away from everyone', as it is his 'process' when filming a project ends. 'It's all so ridiculous,' he said. 'It's just a part of me just saying goodbye to this character so that now Aimee and I will be friends for f****** ever.' Wood previously criticised a Saturday Night Live sketch, with an cast member impersonating her with exaggerated prosthetic teeth, calling it 'mean and unfunny' on Instagram. She told Variety that it 'felt misogynistic. It felt like the punchline was a woman's appearance, which is just not funny. It's not cool'. Goggins shared the same sketch online and praised Jon Hamm for playing a version of his character, before deleting the Instagram post, ahead of hosting SNL> He said he was 'gonna say it (something) to your face', and added: 'I don't use social media in any way, and I'm not a mean guy.' SNL apologised for the April sketch, according to Wood, and the comedian and cast member who impersonated her, Sarah Sherman, sent her flowers to apologise. Wood is also known for Netflix teen show Sex Education, BBC comedy Daddy Issues and the 2022 drama film Living with Bill Nighy. Goggins has been in Western series Justified, post-apocalyptic series Fallout, and drama Sons Of Anarchy. He has had two Emmy nods, while Wood has won a TV Bafta for Sex Education and been given a Rising Star Bafta nomination.
