Hrithik Roshan On Krrish 4 Directorial Debut: 'Wondering If There's A Director In Me'
If there's any Hrithik Roshan film after War 2 that has audiences truly excited, it's the long-awaited superhero drama, Krrish 4. Ever since Rakesh Roshan announced that he is passing on the Krrish 4 directorial baton to his son, Hrithik Roshan, the buzz around the film has only increased. Hrithik Roshan opened up about his directorial venture during an event in Sri Lanka.
As per the Deccan Chronicle, Hrithik said, 'I hope there's a director in me that I can be proud of as I step into the director's shoes for my next film. I need everyone's love and blessings, and your acknowledgement will go a long way."
The actor said, 'I'm going to be that person in the room who knows the least, in so many ways. It's a new journey, and I'm excited that I'm not keeping my life monotonous. I like doing new things." 'I'm curious, and I'm wondering if there's a director in me, waiting to be discovered," he added.
While there has been no major update about the script or storyline, it has been confirmed that the next instalment, marking Hrithik Roshan's directorial debut, will feature elements of time travel, which will be a fresh and unique concept for Bollywood.
Currently, pre-production work for Krrish 4 is underway at YRF Studios, with a dedicated VFX team working on the film's pre-visualisation. Hrithik is closely collaborating with his team of writers and Aditya Chopra to fine-tune the script. The film is expected to go on floors in the first quarter of 2026.
Krrish 4 will mark the return of Jadoo, 23 years after the release of Koi… Mil Gaya. Reports suggest that Priyanka Chopra, Rekha and Preity Zinta will all reprise their roles from the franchise. Some reports also claim that Hrithik Roshan will be seen in a triple role in the film.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Hrithik Roshan is currently busy promoting his upcoming action thriller War 2. The movie features Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, with Jr NTR facing off against the superstar. The film also stars new mom Kiara Advani in a lead role.
