Find out why White Lotus heartthrob Walton Goggins has his briefs SNIFFED by an SNL star
White Lotus heartthrob Walton Goggins had his yellow Speedo swimsuit briefs sniffed on Thursday.
The 53-year-old actor was attending the Valentino Celebrates the CULT100 held at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City when the shocking act happened.
Walton was smiling from ear-to-ear while next to Chloe Fineman of Saturday Night Live fame when she inhaled into the briefs.
They appeared to be the same swimsuit bottoms he wore on the cover of Cultured.
Chloe sniffed the briefs as a sight gag because Walton has become such a wanted hunk in recent months thanks to his TV show.
This comes just before Walton is set to appear on Fineman's show Saturday Night Live.
Goggins was in a black suit with unbuttoned dark blue shirt with a gold necklace as he flashed a deep Malibu tan.
Chloe was dressed up in a beige lace mini dress and a matching headband with her hair in soft waves.
This comes after fans were treated new snaps of him leaving little to the imagination for CULTURED's April/May 2025 issue, which saw him in only a pair of tiny yellow Speedos.
Fans were treated new snaps of him leaving little to the imagination for CULTURED's April/May 2025 issue, which saw him smoldering at the camera in his speedos and a suede jacket, left open to show off his chiseled chest.
Sharing the photos to his Instagram, his swooning fans were quick to race to the comments to voice their praise.
'Straight man here and holy hell I'm into it'; 'Have mercy on my SOULLLLL'; 'Goonin for Goggins'; 'walton gaggings'.
'Yellow budgie smugglers were not on my bingo card for items that Walton Goggins would be wearing in 2025, but here we are. And he still looks incredible! We love you Walton!'
'Yea Chelsea. I get it now'; 'Help I'm pregnant'; 'Walton showing us his Goggins'; 'You gotta let me live, sir. I'm but a humble maiden.'
Googins appeared to be in great spirits during the packed event
While the official account for The White Lotus couldn't resist commenting too, quipping: 'Some guests leave their mark.'
They gushed: 'The finest man I have ever seen in my life'; 'I wasn't expecting this on my 2025 bingo card but I am NOT disappointed'.
The actor has become the world's newest favorite heartthrob after his starring turn as the moody Rick Hatchett, in the latest season of The White Lotus.
Walton told the Mail's You magazine that his character Rick's unexpected sex-symbol status, gives him 'a smile in my heart'.
While his wife Nadia Conners gushed: 'He's aged like fine wine. But it's hard as I'm a middle-aged woman. So suddenly I feel like 'all these women find him attractive.
'But what's so amazing is he's always made me feel like the most beautiful woman in the room.'
In the accompanying interview with Cultured however, Walton opened up to his Fallout director Jonathon Nolan and admitted that despite his incredible success, he still struggles with a 'deep fear' that it will go away.
When musing on the 'secret to his success', he admitted 'If I'm being real, it's fear. Truly. A heavy dose of anxiety', adding that he felt pressure not to let anyone down who allowed him to do his job as actor.
He explained that growing up without money also means he is constantly putting pressure on himself to provide for his family and determined to be the best father and husband he can.
Walton tied the knot with TV scriptwriter Nadia, 55, in 2011, just a few months after they welcomed their son Augustus, 14.
Detailing his 'debilitating fear', he said: 'I wake up every morning and stand at the crossroads with two cappuccinos in my hands.
'I ask myself what kind of artist I want to be, what kind of friend, what kind of father, what kind of husband. My dilemma isn't about my occupation; it is about what sort of man I can be on any given day.'
'That, coupled with a deep fear that I have made a mistake and might be living beyond my means, is debilitating. I'm constantly having conversations with myself about plan A, plan B, C, D… on a bad night I can get to the end of the alphabet.'
The interview comes after co-star Aimee Lou Wood has broken her silence on the feud rumours with Walton in a new social media post.
The Sex Education star, 31, plays Chelsea in the third series of The White Lotus who ends up in a relationship with Walton's character Rick.
Despite their on-screen chemistry in Thailand, the pair have reportedly fallen out since filming for the HBO Max series wrapped up.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed how the pair have unfollowed each other on social media and potentially have each other blocked.
Taking to her Instagram on Thursday, Aimee shared a piece of fan art by @sketchesbyspencer on her Stories.
The impressive drawing showed the actress and the actor during their time together on the show, seemingly suggesting all is now well between them.
The frenzy among fans has intensified in recent weeks amid unsubstantiated speculation about the closeness of their relationship.
The roots of it appear to lie in a social media post by Walton following the streaming of the finale on April 6, where he wrote: 'To me, ours was a love story. It was only ever a love story hindered by unresolved childhood trauma. Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget.'
The post soundtrack was Fleetwood Mac's Silver Springs – a song written by Stevie Nicks about her traumatic break-up with band guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.
Perhaps concerned that White Lotus fans were reading too much into this, he later changed the tune for John Lennon's Love.
Co-star Jason Isaacs added to the intrigue, claiming: 'There were alliances that formed and broke, romances that formed and broke, friendships that formed and broke.'
Fuel was added to the gossip swirling around their real-life relationship when it appeared that Walton had then blocked Aimee Lou on Instagram.
Aimee Lou, who boasts 2.6m Instagram followers, has been passionately sharing behind the scenes photos and reposts from her co-stars throughout the third season, with Walton also sharing his own set memories.

White Lotus star breaks down in tears as he finally addresses feud with co-star
Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood - who played Rick Hackett and his Chelsea in The White Lotus - have broken their silence months after their reported feud Their on-screen chemistry and complicated love story left White Lotus viewers enthralled - but that didn't help stop rumours of a backstage feud between actors Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood after one particularly awkward social media interaction. But the pair, who played mysterious Rick Hackett and his girlfriend Chelsea, have finally spoken out - revealing why they've only seen each other once since season three's February premiere. And Walton, unable to hold back his emotions, declared "I love this woman madly" about Aimee in a bid to set the record straight. Two months since the show's dramatic finale, the pair have reunited for Variety magazine as they got up close and personal once again. Speaking of the moment they met for the very first time, Aimee revealed he had texted her to come over for lunch. She said: "I didn't know what to order. I was like, 'Can you pick for me?' I was so nervous." Walton added: "The minute she walked around the corner, I felt, 'This is gonna work. Two minutes into the conversation, it felt like I've known this person for 100 years." Despite suggestions of a feud, Walton was also very keen to reiterate that Aimee is "so important" to him as he began to choke up. He told the magazine: "There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me." Turning to Aimee, he continued: "This is Goldie Hawn. This is Meg Ryan. She can do anything, and she will. You watch what the next 20 years of her experience will be. I'll be on an island, I think Greece. But she's special. There is no feud. She is love and I know that I am that to her. We care about each other very deeply." Aimee also responded to the feud rumours and Walton unfollowing her on Instagram, which she doesn't appear fussed about at all. "I think it's such a comment on where we're at culturally. Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram? That is irrelevant. We don't give a s***e about Instagram," she said. While she had initially wanted to respond to the feud claims over the following, Aimee said that she decided to just "sit back and watch these people making something out of absolutely nothing". Explaining further about the unfollowing, Walton - whose first wife tragically died by suicide in 2004 - suggested that he simply wasn't good with goodbyes and unfollowed anyone who was part of the show after filming wrapped up. In tears, he said: "I knew what we had gone through, and I knew how close that we had gotten, and I needed to begin to process saying goodbye to Rick and Chelsea." Walton went on to say that he had just needed to take a step back from everyone after filming ended and he hasn't spoken to anyone as he "couldn't handle it". He added: "Judge me or don't. I don't give a f*** what you think. This is my process. Rick means everything to me, and Chelsea means everything to me." As the interview wrapped up, Walton declared that he would follow Aimee on Instagram again, declaring it all "ridiculous" and that he would be friends with her "for f***ing ever". Crying again as he hugged his former co-star, Walton added: "I'm emotional because we haven't been in the same city to ever talk about this. So for me, this is just so wonderful."

Thailand sees slump in tourism despite ‘The White Lotus effect'
Thailand had set high expectations for how many tourists would flock to the country following the success of The White Lotus, yet government data shows the number of visitors is actually dropping. The Thai government said that its aim in 2025 was to return to pre-pandemic numbers with 39-40 million foreign tourists, following the 35 million the country welcomed in 2024. However, it turns out that even with ' The White Lotus effect' in play, which boosted Western visitors to the country off the back of the HBO dark comedy set in a luxury hotel, there has been a slump in visitor numbers so far this year. Foreign visitors to Thailand dropped for the fourth month in a row in May, declining 14 per cent to 2.6 million, government data seen by Bloomberg shows. May has experienced the greatest decline since 2021, when the Covid pandemic closed international borders, the media company said. The biggest slump came from travellers from other Asian countries, who make up the majority of Thailand's tourists. Regional arrivals from Asia fell nearly 11 per cent in May this year compared to 2024. Tourists from China make up the largest proportion of visitors to Thailand, but numbers have fallen by nearly one million so far this year versus 2024, Bloomberg found. The drop can be attributed to fears over scam centres on the Myanmar border. Arrivals fell 33 per cent after Chinese actor Wang Xing went missing in the Thai border city of Mae Sot, which has become a hub for trafficking people into Myanmar. Crime syndicates lure people under false pretences to work in scam centres in Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos, where they are forced to financially exploit people around the world. Other factors include a recent earthquake that reached Bangkok, which saw dozens die as a construction site collapsed. Flights booked between June and August show a 15 per cent decline from China compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, hotel occupancy is forecast to fall to 52 per cent, largely steered by the Chinese visitor decline, according to a survey of 140 hotel operators within the Thai Hotel Association. Malaysia, Thailand's second biggest target market, has also dropped by 17 per cent so far this year. 'We have lost a lot tourists to other competing countries in Asia because we didn't tackle the negative images seriously,' Ratchaporn Poolsawadee, vice president of the Tourism Council of Thailand, told the company. 'Thailand's tourism is resilient, but this may take months to rebound.' Despite the slump in Asian tourists booking trips to Thailand, its tourist industry has found a silver lining in the peaked interest of Western visitors. Following the first few episodes of season three of The White Lotus, deputy government spokesperson Sasikarn Watthanachan said that Koh Samui had seen an overall 65 per cent increase in interest among US tourists compared to searches the previous year She added that online travel agency Agoda saw a 12 per cent surge in searches for accommodations on Koh Samui, and Koh Samui had also experienced a 40 per cent rise in luxury hotel bookings. The searches appear to have materialised into visits. Bloomberg said that government data shows US tourists in Thailand have risen by 12 per cent this year through May to more than 625,000, while European visitors have increased by nearly 18 per cent to 3 million in the same period compared to last year.

Goggins said that when he finished The White Lotus he "needed to just back away from everyone", as it is his "process" when filming a project ends. "It's all so ridiculous," he said. Wood previously criticised a Saturday Night Live sketch, with an cast member impersonating her with exaggerated prosthetic teeth, calling it "mean and unfunny" on Instagram.
