ITV Britain's Got Talent star's heartbreaking message to viewers following backlash
Britain's Got Talent star Stacey Leadbeatter
A Britain's Got Talent star has broken their silence, issuing a heartbreaking message to fans following backlash from viewers at home. Singer Stacey Leadbeatter reminded people she was a "human being".
Supermarket worker Stacey, 29, advanced through to the grand final of the ITV talent show after winning the public vote during Saturday night's semi-final, on May 3. She impressed both the judges and audience with her take on Demi Lovato's Anyone.
However despite her performance which won over many, some fans harshly argued there was other acts more deserving to be in the final. There was reportedly scattered boos among the crowd allegedly heard from within the live audience when results were announced.
Following the backlash from some viewers at home, Stacey took to Instagram in a heartfelt post to remind viewers that she was only human, and that she's got feelings too.
She said: "I have seen so many not so kind comments since waking up this morning! Which I guess is understandable! As people get upset, angry and frustrated when they don't get the results that they want. But please remember I am a human being and I have feelings! All the other contestants who you all supported are beyond amazing and all deserved a spot and are now my lifelong friends."
Stacey continued, "But I can assure you that if they read some of the comments you're saying they would not agree with the hurtful things you're saying. But I'd like to add. I am strong! I am proud. I am on top of the world and nothing anyone says can bring me down off this little cloud I am on."
"I am overwhelmed, I am ecstatic, I am excited, I am in awe. Most of all I am thankful and very very lucky," concluded the singer, who progressed to the live semi-finals after being awarded a golden buzzer by judge KSI.
The Yorkshire-born retail worker was flooded with supportive messages in the comments. One follower wrote, "Well done sweetheart you were amazing you will have my vote in the final xxxxx"
"You deserved you spot and well done to you your voice is unreal. Block out the hate and lap up the love " wrote one supportive fan, with another adding: "You were fantastic last night. Well done. Don't worry about the haters. They are going to hate. Just be yourself."
Another sent words of encouragement, adding: "I read some of this comments last night I had to actually stop reading them they were so bad , hold your head up high and ignore those people because there's something wrong with them not you , you were outstanding last night and ever since your audition were the person I want to see winning and you could win it your amazing , keep smiling and being you and huge congratulations for last night you were incredible."
"I have tears when you sing. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us!," shared someone else. One person also commented, "just delete them and look to the bright future! You're already a star."

Queen Camilla has leading role in her favourite author's latest murder mystery
Both Queen Camilla and King Charles are featured in the new royal whodunnit, written by Peter James, whom Her Majesty has openly named as her favourite crime author Queen Camilla is to star in her favourite author's latest murder mystery - and has even helped with the plot. Her Majesty, 77, has a central role in The Hawk Is Dead: A Killer In The Palace, which sees a detective investigate a murder at Buckingham Palace. Camilla has openly named the author, Peter James, as her top crime writer and forged a friendship with him in the past 10 years. It is said Camilla is "thrilled" to have a leading role in the book, due for release in October, written some time after the Queen Consort had suggested her friend set his legendary Brighton-based detective's latest case in London. His books have been made into an ITV drama series Grace, staring John Simm as the eponymous detective superintendent. "Fortunately, no one is likely to be more thrilled to find themselves taking a leading role in their own royal whodunnit than Her Majesty," writes Daily Mail's royal editor, Rebecca English, in today's publication. King Charles also features in the book, which tells the tale of a detective exploring what they believe to be a assassination attempt at Buckingham Palace. Publishers Pan Macmillan said: "Opening with a cinematic derailment of the Royal Train, The Hawk Is Dead takes Roy Grace deep into the heart of Buckingham Palace, where he is called upon to solve a murder and what looks to be a royal assassination attempt." "Queen Camilla, a well-known book lover and reading champion through her charity The Queen's Reading Room, has always been one of the first people to receive each Grace novel and is excited to have a starring role, alongside King Charles, in Peter's latest thriller." Her Majesty has already had a sneak peakat the novel, it is understood. Peter, 76 and who has several Sunday Times No 1 bestsellers to his name, was "moved to tears" by Camilla's recent nomination of Grace as her favourite detective. Speaking in a recent interview, Peter, who was raised in East Sussex, said: "I came up with an idea, which I ran by Her Majesty and she loved it. Throughout writing, during which I've done extensive behind-the-scenes research at the Palace, I have received invaluable insights from the Royal Household, including Her Majesty." The pair have developed a firm but unlikely friendship and, in 2021, Her Majesty visited the set of Grace, the fifth series of which has just aired on ITV. A sixth series of the drama is already in production. Insiders told the Daily Mail "any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental" when asked about Peter's new book. Buckingham Palace declined to comment to the publication.

Tulisa to recount drugs trial in new memoir detailing her career highs and lows
The pop singer, 36, who found fame in hip-hop trio N-Dubz, was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs in 2013, but the charges were later dismissed after prosecution witness, 'fake sheikh' journalist Mazher Mahmood, was found guilty of tampering with evidence in the trial. The book, titled Judgement, has been written using journals that Contostavlos wrote in amid the media storm following the sting operation that saw Mahmood pose as a wealthy film producer called Samir Khan. In an Instagram video on Tuesday, Contostavlos said: '90% of this no one has ever known. A post shared by Tulisa Contostavlos (@tulisacontostavlos) 'The story of my year in 2013 has been spoken about many times, but it has never been told in the way that it's told in my new book. 'This is living all the juiciest moments from behind the scenes. This book will have you crying one moment, on the edge of your seat the next.' She added: 'I have given absolutely all of myself in this book, it's Sex And The City on a drugs charge.' She wrote in the caption: 'As you all know, I've been through the highs and some unimaginable lows in my career. 'For the first time, I'm sharing everything. The truth, the pain, the fallout, and the strength I discovered when my world fell apart.' The singer had been accused of arranging for Mahmood to be sold more than £800 worth of cocaine by one of her contacts following an elaborate sting for The Sun On Sunday in 2013. During a meeting at a hotel in London, Mahmood posed as a film producer and plied Contostavlos with alcohol as they discussed an acting role alongside Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio. Following the collapse of the trial Contostavlos said 'I have never dealt drugs and never been involved in taking or dealing cocaine' in a statement where she also accused Mahmood of a 'horrific and disgusting entrapment'. In 2016 Mahmood was jailed for tampering with evidence in the collapsed drugs trial when the 'King of the Sting' and his driver Alan Smith, were found guilty of plotting to pervert the course of justice. Publishing director, Ciara Lloyd, who has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to the book, said: 'When I read Tulisa's proposal, I knew instantly that I wanted to publish her. 'I remember the infamous 'Fake Sheikh' trial well and how unfairly Tulisa was treated, a story that highlighted the bias and misogyny in the press, and in our society. 'So, to give a voice to Tulisa and her story as well as showcase her phenomenal talent as a writer is a real privilege. 'This is the perfect redemption story for the original Female Boss, and I'm so proud to be publishing her at Blink.' Contostavlos is most known for singing in hip-hop group N-Dubz who had hits with songs including I Need You, Girls and Number 1, featuring Tinchy Stryder. In 2011 she became a judge on popular reality singing series The X Factor and a year later she released her debut solo album, The Female Boss. She also released the book, Honest: My Story So Far: The Official Autobiography, in 2012, which detailed her life growing up on a council estate in London, to making music with N-Dubz, and helping girl group Little Mix win The X Factor in 2011. The singer from Camden most recently appeared on the 2024 season of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. Judgement will publish in hardback, ebook and audio in August 2025 from Blink Publishing.

I'm A Celebrity star 'signs up' for latest edition of Celebrity Bake Off
A former star of I'm A Me Out of Here has reportedly signed up for the latest edition of the Bake Off in a Stand Up To Cancer special The latest famous face to be signed up for the Great British Bake Off is said to have been confirmed. Former I'm A Celebrity star Babatunde Aleshe has reportedly agreed to another reality TV show following his stint in the jungle. The comedian, 38, starred on the ITV show Down Under in 2022, and is now said to be ready to test his culinary skills. It's claimed Babatunde will take part in the Stand Up To Cancer special of the hit Channel 4 show. "Babatunde is guaranteed to be hilarious and will no doubt have plenty of banter with Paul, Noel, Caroline and Alison," a source said. Speaking to the Sun, the TV insider continued: "'He's not known for his prowess in the kitchen so there's sure to be some panicky moments laced with the good humour he's known for. "His energy on the Gogglebox sofa has always been pure positivity and very infectious, and bosses are hoping he'll bring that to the tent." Other names reportedly signed up for the unique edition include JoJo Siwa. Hot on the heels of her Celebrity Big Brother appearance - where she met Chris Hughes - the Dance Moms star is claimed to be set for another UK reality TV show. The 22-year-old American singer boosted her profile on the opposite side of the Atlantic in April when she was a contestant on ITV's Celebrity Big Brother - she already had a huge stateside following. Now it has been reported that JoJo will be popping up on Channel 4 and testing out her culinary skills. A source claimed:"This is a bit of a coup for the Bake Off because Jojo is currently one of the most talked about young stars on TV right now. "She's barely had time to catch her breath, leaving CBB last month amid huge media attention and heading straight into another huge show this month. It's also a fantastic gig for her because although she already has a fanbase over here, the cookery contest also introduces her to a wider British audience," the source added to The Sun. "Plus she got plenty of experience of cooking in front of the cameras while she was on Celebrity Big Brother, though this time she won't have hunky Chris to distract her." JoJo and Chris' budding friendship stole the show in the Big Brother house. Speculation was rife they were more than just friends, with JoJo revealed to have dumped fiance Kath Ebbs at the wrap party. Snaps have since emerged of the singer kissing the 32-year-old former Love Island star while they were on holiday together in Mexico. They have continued to pair special mentions to each other on social media following their exit from the CBB house.
