PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) – With the 4th of July, comes the fireworks. With fireworks, can come safety concerns. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, proper protocols are important to prevent accidents. The weather can also play a part in safety.
Firefighter-EMT Colton Morgan, says safety starts by reading the instructions.
Fire safety tips for the cold weather
'You want to make sure you follow the manufacturer's instructions. Keep a water source nearby in case of anything,' said Morgan.
Educating yourself on the types of fireworks is also an important part of staying safe.

Northeast Ohio pools: When, where to cool down According to the weather service, the beach hazard statement applies to beaches along Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga and Lake counties in Ohio. The warning is in effect at least through late Friday afternoon. Swimmers should also note that the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District listed the predicted water quality at Edgewater Beach and Villa Angela Beach in Cleveland as poor due to a high concentration of E. coli. The news comes after various storms and rain came through the region earlier this week.
