The Perfect Fragrance for Wimbledon Will Have You Smelling Like... Tennis Balls
Wimbledon is well underway and tennis fever is spreading fast. And amongst those tuning in are D.S & Durga founders', David and Kavi Moltz. Their love of bat and ball is so strong that they've created an olfactory ode to the sport: the Crush Balls fragrance.
"Kavi and I are very bad aspiring tennis players," says David in the product's press release. "We relish the feeling of getting out on a court and crushing tennis balls. So simple. So satisfying. I love how this game of hitting a ball over a net with a racquet is really an entire culture. A global sensation of people chasing the feeling of that crisp crush. For me a tennis scent has to be green, clean, fresh and 'sporty.'"£155.00 at spacenk
This limited edition perfume consists of green grass and rosamin top notes, elements of hedge flowers and white cotton in the middle, and the smell of hard court at its base. The combination is green and invigorating, and unsurprisingly, will conjure up thoughts of tennis balls zooming across a court.
It's not the first time D.S & Durga have looked to esoteric inspiration points – in fact, that's kind of what they excel at. Mississippi Medicine used a little-known Mississippian cult called 'Southeastern Ceremonial Complex', that dates back to the 1200s, as its starting point. Their most popular fragrance, Cowboy Grass, nods to the Wild West. And I think you can guess what their namesake fragrance of the divisive herb coriander smells like.
To give an indication of how tennis-y this scent is (some Smell-O-Vision would be handy right now) Wimbledon have even stocked it on-site for you to spritz and sniff. Worth a pitstop in between games, we say.
Crush Balls is also available online at Space N.K and the D.S & Durga website.

(Video): Chelsea's double deflected goal which gives Blues lead in quarter final
Chelsea are back ahead in the Club World Cup quarter final, and are now just a few minutes from the semis! It's come from a Malo Gusto cross after the full back found himself high up the pitch after a corner and their opposition failed to push up quickly enough. Advertisement Palmeiras got a huge slice of luck when Robert Sanchez let Estevao Willian's shot in over his head at the near post to level the game. Now it was Chelsea's turn to get some luck. Weverton was caught out by the deflection that the ball took off a defender, and the keeper totally failed to react to the change in direction. He froze, the ball clipped him and went in. You've got to feel a little for the Brazilians here – this meant so much to them, and it was a sad way to go out. You can see the goal in the clip embedded here: [Footage from DAZN] Chelsea face major semi challenges after injuries and suspensions Malo Gusto celebrates a quarter final goal. (Photo by) Advertisement It was another pretty impressive gritty win from Chelsea, who certainly had a wobble when Palmeiras scored in the second half. The goal was not the prettiest, but it got the job done. They had looked really impressive earlier in the game, even without Moises Caicedo. But they couldn't sustain that level for 90 minutes. Once again, there's a strong sense that bad goalkeeping was a serious factor here. Liam Delap and Levi Colwill picking up yellow cards to create suspensions for the semi, plus unknown injuries to Reece James and Benoit Badiashile make things very interesting against Fluminense indeed. Tonight is about celebrating, but there will be a lot of thinking for Enzo Maresca to do in the next few days

Emma Raducanu calls out Wimbledon for ‘disappointing' electronic line calling: ‘So wrong'
It's clear that Emma Raducanu was not happy about Wimbledon's electronic line calling on Friday. During her tightly contested defeat to top seed Aryna Sabalenka in the third round, the 22-year-old called out to the chair umpire over a line call, asking, 'You saw it out as well, right?' The controversial call, which Raducanu questioned, was a first serve by Sabalenka at 2-4, 15-0, which did appear to miss the line upon replay. 3 Emma Raducanu plays a backhand against Aryna Sabalenka on day five of Wimbledon 2025. Getty Images The serve ultimately led to Sabalenka going up 30-0 in a pivotal set during the match, helping her stage a comeback after going down early. 'That call was, like, for sure out,' Raducanu said in her press conference after the match. 'It's kind of disappointing, the tournament here, that the calls can be so wrong, but for the most part, they've been OK. 'It's just, like, I've had a few in my other matches, too, that have been very wrong. So yeah, I don't know. Hopefully, they can fix that.' Raducanu ultimately lost to Sabalenka 7-6, 6-4, and showed her frustration after the match. 3 Emma Raducanu against Aryna Sabalenka on day five of Wimbledon. Getty Images 'I don't think I've really had a loss like this in a long time, where I feel like I maybe had chances and didn't take them,' said Raducanu. 'I think usually I'm pretty good at converting.' 'I'll probably find it tough to sleep tonight,' she added. 'It's going to take me a few days to process. But at the same time, it really motivates me. 'It could be a good thing that I'm like, 'OK, I want to get straight back to work.' I want to solidify my game so that in the big moments I can back myself a little bit more.' 3 Emma Raducanu reacts against Aryna Sabalenka on day five of Wimbledon.
