Drew McIntyre defeats Damian Priest in vicious WrestleMania 41 match
LAS VEGAS – Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest vowed one thing in the weeks leading up to their Sin City Street Fight at WrestleMania 41: When they saw each other anywhere, the gloves were off.
It came to a brutal head on Sunday night in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium as both competitors took out all of their rage on each other. McIntyre never forgot Priest cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on McIntyre at last year's WrestleMania. It was the driving force behind it all.
McIntyre's destructive nature was on full display. He picked up the victory over Priest in a vicious match.
It was classic McIntyre for the most part. He played to the crowd as they chanted his name. He took a selfie with a fan's camera and hit a wild front flip over the ropes to get a quick advantage in the match.
McIntyre was set to do more damage as he put a chair around the neck of Priest. But Priest countered with a chokeslam and a pin attempt – only a two count. It was the moment Priest needed to catch his breath and go back on the offensive. But as he turned his back, McIntyre hit him with a spinebuster.
Fans chanted for tables and McIntyre obliged, setting one up in the middle of the ring. He got Priest up to the high-rent district, but Priest countered. Priest hit a Razor's Edge and put McIntyre through the table. Again, he couldn't get the pin.
McIntyre came back at Priest and used the steel steps in the ring to his advantage. He nailed Priest with a Future Shock DDT on the steel steps and attempted to pin Priest, but to no avail. Both men just would not falter and their anger only grew.
The behemoths went punch-for-punch and then chop-for-headbutt. It would be McIntyre who fell to the ground, allowing Priest to gather himself and figure out how he was going to beat the Scotsman.
Priest went for an Old School move on McIntyre. He balanced himself on the ropes, but McIntyre pushed Priest off the ropes and down to the tables below. He pulled Priest back into the ring and placed Priest's head near a propped-up chair in the corner of the ring.
McIntyre hit a Claymore into Priest's head. That was enough to deliver the final blow he needed.
The revenge tour, against Priest at least, was done.

She's always loved him, always treated him like a little brother. That's the betrayal William won't forget… But Harry never seems to think about the consequences." Meanwhile, British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told the publication that Kate has been quietly heartbroken over the ongoing rift between William and Harry, but has no plans to enter the drama. "Catherine and Harry shared a fun humor and were often seen giggling together at events," Chard shared. She continued, "Sadly and upsettingly, Princess Catherine was dragged into the public negative narrative, which was a real smack around the face for the kind of sister-in-law who tried hard to be the peacemaker between the brothers." The tension that has grown since Harry and Meghan departed from royal life further deepened following Harry's explosive memoir "Spare" and Meghan's 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, during which she claimed Kate made her cry ahead of the royal wedding. According to a source cited by Us Weekly, Kate was deeply affected by the accusation. "The reframing of events upset her, and making up a narrative that Kate is mean was devastating," the source claimed. "She can't retaliate, and Meghan knows that." Chard told Fox News Digital that while Kate and Meghan never had much in common, the Princess of Wales was genuinely pleased when Harry found love. "Princess Catherine was happy when Prince Harry met Meghan," Chard noted. "Her goals have been protecting the crown, future-proofing the monarchy, [honoring] the late Queen Elizabeth II's legacy, and protecting her children from Prince Harry's hurtful commentary," Chard added. After years of trying to bridge the gap, Kate has now also stepped back from "any role of attempting to mediate a reconciliation" between the brothers, royal expert Fordwich explained. "She and William are now totally at one regarding hypocritical Harry. She's far more focused on her health and family. She's rather hurt," Fordwich stated. In his memoir "Spare," Harry paints an affectionate picture of his early relationship with Kate. He described the princess as "a fantastic girl" and even joked about their dynamic, saying, "I'm really looking forward to getting her under my wing. She'll be taking me under her wing, probably." Harry recalled feeling genuinely close to Kate, writing: "I loved my new sister-in-law. I felt she was more sister than in-law, the sister I'd never had and always wanted, and I was pleased that she'd forever be standing by Willy's side. They made each other visibly happy, and therefore I was happy too." The duke wrote about their first meeting, noting that it left a lasting impression on him. Trump is seeing 'Les Misérables.' It's not clear he understands the irony.
In what may be one of the year's most ironic moments, President Donald Trump will spend Wednesday night attending the opening of the musical 'Les Misérables' at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. No, this isn't some presidential obligation that Trump is reluctantly fulfilling. Rather, as he told Fox News Digital last week: 'I love the songs, I love the play. I think it's great.' For once, Trump seems to be telling the truth. True, none of the numbers from "Les Mis" appeared on his official playlist for his 2024 campaign, unlike other Broadway musicals like 'Cats' or 'Phantom of the Opera.' (His love of Andrew Lloyd Webber is well-known and deeply telling in its own way.) But I'd forgotten until today that during the announcement of his third presidential run in 2022, he walked onstage immediately following the strains of 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' In fact, he's used the song multiple times at events over the years, almost always prompting similar bouts of confusion from people who understand 'Les Misérables.' Which brings us to the other half of his statement to Fox News Digital: that he thinks the show is "great." It's entirely unclear to me whether there's anything about the show's characters, plot, themes, or general vibe that would speak to Trump on any deeper level. For starters, 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' is a wild choice of anthem for someone like Trump who has only known wealth and power. The song calls for a revolutionary uprising against the reestablished monarchy in favor of republican ideals and uplifting the poor and downtrodden. The students who belt the number then build a barricade on the streets before the army crushes their insurrection and dreams of a brighter future for France along with it. Given his eagerness this week to deploy Marines onto the streets of Los Angeles, and attacks on protests on college campuses, I have a hard time picturing Trump either sympathizing with the students' cause or mourning their deaths. Further, am I supposed to believe that the 'law and order president' identifies at all with former convict Jean Valjean's story of the cruelty of the law toward the poor and needy? Or that he feels moved by Inspector Javert hurling himself into the Seine when he realizes that mercy can be more just than the law as written? I wouldn't put it past him to describe Gavroche, the young street urchin shot down mid-song as he aids the rebels, as "no angel." Granted, as The Washington Post noted, there are Trump supporters out there who see the MAGA movement as following in the footsteps of the Friends of the ABC in fighting tyranny. But I'm less convinced that Trump feels similarly. My money is on him being more captivated by the way the sweeping, booming, overwhelming score sounds than any moral that the show might be trying to bestow on the audience. C'est la vie. WrestleMania 42 to take place in Las Vegas once again
WWE announced on Wednesday that WrestleMania 42 will be held in Las Vegas for the second straight year after it was previously revealed that New Orleans would be the host site. Reports about the premiere event of the WWE season leaving New Orleans surfaced a few weeks back. As speculation ran rampant on social media, WWE announced during its Money in the Bank premium live event that WrestleMania will be back at Allegiant Stadium. "Las Vegas helped to deliver the biggest WrestleMania of all time, shattering records and delivering an amazing week for fans around the world," WWE president Nick Khan said in a news release. "We look forward to once again working with the talented and effective teams at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Allegiant Stadium to bring WrestleMania back to the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World." Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) CEO Steve Hill, who talked to Fox News Digital earlier this year ahead of WrestleMania 41, touted the return of the event as well. "We are honored that WWE has once again selected Las Vegas to host the biggest event on their calendar," Hill said. "Bringing WrestleMania 42 to Las Vegas underscores our city's reputation for elevating world-class events to new heights. We are excited to build on last year's success and deliver an even more incredible experience for the WWE Universe in 2026." WrestleMania in Las Vegas was just as busy as Super Bowl week in the city. WWE hosted events up and down the Las Vegas Strip, including the Hall of Fame ceremony, the Roast of WrestleMania and WrestleMania After Dark at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. WWE said "Monday Night Raw," "Friday Night SmackDown" and WWE World will return. NXT Stand & Deliver will also take place in the city. It will be the second time in WrestleMania's history that the show will be hosted in the same city in consecutive years.
