Tanushree Dutta makes shocking claims of receiving threats like Sushant Singh Rajput: 'Bollywood mafia gang…, Nana Patekar...'
A video was shared by Tanushree Dutta where she claimed she is being harassed in her own home – something that has reportedly been happening for the past 4-5 years. She mentioned hearing strange noises in the house. While she didn't name anyone in the video, in an interview, she has now alleged that Nana Patekar is behind the harassment. Tanushree Dutta makes shocking claims
In an explosive interview, Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of harassing her. Speaking to TV9 Marathi, she said, 'Strange things have been happening to me over the past four to five years. The brakes of my car were tampered with. After that, I realized someone was following me. Wherever I went, people would follow me. The projects I used to sign were taken away from me. Nana Patekar is involved in this harassment.' Tanushree Dutta relates to Sushant Singh Rajput
In her interview, Tanushree Dutta also mentioned the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, saying that what happened to him is now happening to her. She stated, 'The people who are after me are connected to Nana Patekar and his Bollywood associates. They are the ones who have sent people to follow me. I suspect them. People would come to the hotels where I was staying and knock on my room door to harass me. On several occasions, I was even poisoned, and attempts were made to kill me by making me ill – but I survived.'
Tanushree Dutta further said, 'The maid who worked in my house was also involved, as she used to mix something in my food. Because of that, my health kept deteriorating. I would remain unconscious for 17–18 hours at a stretch. They tried to drive me insane and kill me.'
In an interview to News18 , Dutta urges the government to provide her security. 'This mafia is huge and dangerous, and I fear for my life just like Sushant must have', said the actress. What happened between Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar?
In 2018, during the Me Too movement, Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of harassing her. She said openly about the inappropriate conduct in 2008 and said he 'tried to sexually abuse' her while shooting a song sequence for Horn Ok Please in 2009. Dutta stated that although the song was supposed to be shot on a single actor, still Nana used to be present on the set.
Tanushree had also filed a complaint with the Cine & TV Artists Association (CINTAA) in 2008. However, no action was taken since it was a criminal case.
After criticising Nana for his statement calling her allegations false, Tanushree further accused him of 'criminal intimidation' and 'physical harm'.
In 2019, the police dismissed all the allegations against Nana Patekar and he was given a clean chit.

BTS Fan? 5 Iconic Songs By Boy Band You Need To Hear Now
Published By : Kashvi Raj Singh Trending Desk Last Updated: July 28, 2025, 15:51 IST BTS will release a new album in 2026. (Photo Credit: Instagram) With the Hallyu wave taking over the world, one name that is leading the charge is none other than the K-pop supergroup BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys. Formed in 2013 under BigHit Entertainment (now HYBE), the group has become one of the most prominent names in the music industry. Consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, BTS enjoys a fan following in millions, if not billions, across the globe. Following the completion of their mandatory military service, the septet is busy making their brand-new album, scheduled to be released sometime in the first half of 2026, if all goes well. And if you can't wait for the new songs, we suggest you revisit some of their old hits. Here are five BTS songs that you need to add to your Spotify playlist. N.O Also known as 'No Offence', the song was released in 2013 as the lead single of their first EP O!RUL8,2? (Oh! Are You Late, too?). Through this hip-hop song, the group questions Korea's take on education. They asked their peers not to be forced into following their parents' dreams. Instead, encouraged them to stand up for themselves and have their own dreams. Attack On Bangtan Another song from O!RUL8,2? (Oh! Are You Late, too?) It is one of their anthemic songs, which was released in 2013. The title is a playful nod to the popular anime Attack on Titan. The lyrics of the song are bold and full of confidence, as the group sings about their determination to succeed in the music scene. Run The lead single from their fourth EP, titled The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2, was released in 2015. The lyrics of this rock song encourage its fans to persevere, rising up and running every time they are knocked down by obstacles in their path. BTS also tell everyone that it's alright to make mistakes. I Need U One of the tracks on their third EP, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 1, I Need U explores the theme of pain and confusion in a toxic love. Through the lyrics, they sing about how they are being ruined by the love and want for that person, and want them out of their lives. Make It Right A song on BTS' 2019 EP Map of the Soul: Persona, 'Make It Right," is a collaboration between the septet and Lauv, co-written by Ed Sheeran. Through the song, the group sings about making the world a better place and their desire to give it back to someone who helped them find their way. In this case, it is interpreted as their way of showing appreciation to their ardent fans. Kashvi Raj Singh Kashvi Raj Singh is a Sub Editor at News18. Dhami asks Uttarakhand officials to make anti-conversion law more stringent
Dehradun, Jul 28 (PTI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday expressed concern over recent incidents of attempted conversions in the state and asked officials to make the anti-conversion law more stringent. Proper counselling and guidance should be provided to people caught in the trap of elements indulging in conversion, Dhami said at a meeting held with senior officials at the secretariat. 'In view of recent incidents, immediate steps should be taken to make the anti-conversion law more stringent, " he said. In a joint effort, the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand police recently arrested six individuals linked to the Chhangur gang, an international religious conversion racket operating out of Pakistan and Dubai. Noting that Operation Kalanemi — targeting people impersonating saints, cheating the public and defaming Sanatan — which was launched earlier this month, has been successful in curbing such elements. He said the campaign, which is aimed at people hurting the image of Sanatan, needs to be carried forward. He said an SIT should be constituted at the state police headquarters level to monitor the campaign. 'Uttarakhand is a border state as well as the sacred land of Sanatan. Therefore, any attempt to change its demography should strictly be thwarted," he said, asking the police to keep an eye on such suspicious activities. The Uttarakhand Freedom of Religion Act, amended in 2022, prohibits religious conversion through misrepresentation, force, undue influence, coercion, allurement or any fraudulent means. It is a cognisable and non-bailable offence, punishable by imprisonment of three to ten years and a fine of at least Rs 50,000. Additionally, the court may order the accused to pay compensation of up to Rs 5 lakh to the victim.
