With the Hallyu wave taking over the world, one name that is leading the charge is none other than the K-pop supergroup BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys. Formed in 2013 under BigHit Entertainment (now HYBE), the group has become one of the most prominent names in the music industry. Consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, BTS enjoys a fan following in millions, if not billions, across the globe.
Following the completion of their mandatory military service, the septet is busy making their brand-new album, scheduled to be released sometime in the first half of 2026, if all goes well. And if you can't wait for the new songs, we suggest you revisit some of their old hits. Here are five BTS songs that you need to add to your Spotify playlist.
N.O
Also known as 'No Offence', the song was released in 2013 as the lead single of their first EP O!RUL8,2? (Oh! Are You Late, too?). Through this hip-hop song, the group questions Korea's take on education. They asked their peers not to be forced into following their parents' dreams. Instead, encouraged them to stand up for themselves and have their own dreams.
Attack On Bangtan
Another song from O!RUL8,2? (Oh! Are You Late, too?) It is one of their anthemic songs, which was released in 2013. The title is a playful nod to the popular anime Attack on Titan. The lyrics of the song are bold and full of confidence, as the group sings about their determination to succeed in the music scene.
Run
The lead single from their fourth EP, titled The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2, was released in 2015. The lyrics of this rock song encourage its fans to persevere, rising up and running every time they are knocked down by obstacles in their path. BTS also tell everyone that it's alright to make mistakes.
I Need U
One of the tracks on their third EP, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 1, I Need U explores the theme of pain and confusion in a toxic love. Through the lyrics, they sing about how they are being ruined by the love and want for that person, and want them out of their lives.
Make It Right
A song on BTS' 2019 EP Map of the Soul: Persona, 'Make It Right," is a collaboration between the septet and Lauv, co-written by Ed Sheeran. Through the song, the group sings about making the world a better place and their desire to give it back to someone who helped them find their way. In this case, it is interpreted as their way of showing appreciation to their ardent fans. Kashvi Raj Singh

BTS' V shows off huge muscles in gym selfie with bodybuilder friend, gears up with new look ahead of August surprise

Kim Taehyung is well on his way to becoming the most muscular member among the Bangtan Boys, and here's the latest proof! On July 30, V shared a selfie taken with Choi Han Jin, a professional bodybuilder and someone the BTS member seems to have developed a close friendship with. A casual 'V' pose in the photo of the two, fans immediately went into a meltdown with how handsome the star looked in it. Drenched in sweat, probably taken just after a workout, V displayed the epitome of K-pop idol beauty in the photo. A grey T-shirt covered his torso with rolled-up sleeves, trying and failing to contain his muscly biceps. Fans who checked out the photo could not help but notice how far along his two arm moles had gotten. The marks which previously stood a couple of inches apart are separate poles now, thanks to the gym gains of the singer. And while he was able to make an 'elephant face' with them earlier, we wonder what it would appear as now. V boasts muscular growth in just 2 months More notably, V has hung out with Choi Han Jin in the past, working out at the gym solo and with fellow BTS member Jungkook, showing off their growth. Fans have also made a note of his buffed-up physique over the last couple of months, especially since his military discharge. Once appearing toned, he now looks more muscular. BTS is said to be working out together as the members opened up about their very competitive sessions in Los Angeles. Now, back in South Korea, Jungkook hung out with Physical: 100 star Ma Sun Ho just a day ago, showing off his own physique and giving a clearer peek at his new chest ink. The two youngest members of the team have been making the fans go crazy with the gym updates and getting them excited for possible shirtless moments. Meanwhile, the Rainy Days star recently spoke about a surprise for the BTS ARMY, which will be released in August, and while he did not spill any details, the fans are guessing a photoshoot or a new song could be on the way.

Maalik Box Office Day 4: Rajkummar Rao's Film Sees Lowest Single-Day Collection With Rs 1 Crore

Maalik Box Office Collection Day 4: Rajkummar Rao's Maalik, with Manushi Chhillar and Prosenjit Chatterjee, earned Rs 1 crore on Day 4, totaling Rs 15.59 crore. Maalik Box Office Collection Day 4: Rajkummar Rao's Maalik, which hit the big screens last Friday, started its journey on a promising note with a solid ensemble cast including Manushi Chhillar and Prosenjit Chatterjee. Over the weekend, the film held its ground well. But come Monday, the film hit its slowest day yet. As per early estimates by Sacnilk, Maalik added just Rs 1 crore to its box office tally on Day 4. With that, the film's total collection now stands a little above Rs 15 crore. While the dip isn't surprising given it was a Monday (and Mondays are notorious for pulling the brakes on most theatrical runs), it's still a crucial phase for the film to maintain momentum through the week. As per early estimates, Maalik collected Rs 1.34 crore on its fourth day at the box office — its lowest single-day earnings so far. But given it was a Monday, the dip in footfall isn't entirely unexpected. The film opened with Rs 3.75 crore on Friday. Over the weekend, it gained some momentum, bringing in Rs 5.25 crore each on Saturday and Sunday. With Monday's numbers in, Maalik's total collection now stands at Rs 15.59 crore. While the weekday drop was anticipated, the film will need steady numbers through the week. On Monday, Maalik recorded an overall 8.22 per cent Hindi occupancy in theatres. Despite the dip, Rajkummar Rao's political drama is faring better than Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan, which stars Vikrant Massey and marks Shanaya Kapoor's debut. That film has struggled to make a mark since day one. However, both Hindi releases are facing a tough challenge from the international juggernaut Superman, starring David Corenswet. The superhero film has already raked in over Rs 25 crore in India over its opening weekend. Directed by Pulkit, Maalik stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. The film also features Bengali cinema icon Prosenjit Chatterjee, former Miss World Manushi Chhillar, and Saurabh Sachdeva. The supporting cast includes Saurabh Shukla, Anshumaan Pushkar, Swanand Kirkire, Rajendra Gupta, and Baljinder Kaur. The News18 review of Maalik states, 'Maalik tries hard to be the next Mirzapur but ends up feeling like its distant cousin who was never invited to the family reunion. Pankaj Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya's Mirzapur gave us a gritty storyline and iconic one-liners; however, Maalik serves as a recycled crime saga with no real punch. The violence feels random, the plot goes haywire post-interval, and the emotional beats just don't land. It's like watching someone try to recreate a gangster masterpiece with leftover scenes from Mirzapur." Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Bigg Boss 18's Shrutika Arjun Reacts As Chum Darang Unfollows Her On Instagram

The Bigg Boss fame shared that there was no fight between the two, and Chum Darang's action came as a surprise to her. Bigg Boss 18 fans were left in shock when Shrutika Arjun and Chum Darang's friendship fell apart, resulting in Chum Darang unfollowing the former on Instagram. The duo who was once celebrated for their close bond is no longer in touch anymore. The digital move quickly caught fans attention and sparked rumours about a possible fallout. After numerous speculations, Shrutika finally decided to open up about this matter. During an interview with Tellymasala, the Bigg Boss fame shared that there was no fight between the two, and Chum's action came as a surprise to her. 'I felt very bad. There was no fight, nothing. Just two or three days before it happened, I tried calling Chum. I was hurt. Arjun was with me, my son was there, my parents, my friends, and even my other Bigg Boss friends messaged me and checked in on me," Shrutika revealed while saying one needs to put in efforts to maintain a relationship. Although Shrutika remained tight-lipped on detailing specific reasons behind the fallout, it was evident from her statement that she felt immense pain and disappointment. Her emphasis further revealed Shrutika and Chum's friendship was built on one-sided efforts. The pair's friendship and genuine bond were cherished during their time at Bigg Boss 18, and they quickly became a fan-favourite pair for their supportive nature and candid conversations. Hence, this sudden digital move left fans wondering whether it is a temporary misunderstanding or a deeper crack in their friendship. While Shrutika was eliminated from Bigg Boss 18 a few weeks before the grand finale, Chum secured her spot among the front runners and ended the show in the fifth position. Previously during an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Shrutika was asked if she was in touch with Chum after the show, to which Shrutika replied, 'We are connected on WhatsApp. She is busy and is receiving offers. I am happy for her because work is worship. Being busy is the best thing, and I have told Chum that I'll always be there with her." After the fallout, Chum did not respond to any speculation or make a public statement. However, fans are still waiting for clarity or a possible reunion between the pair.
