However, the latest updates reveal that Bigg Boss will return soon, featuring some format changes. While many popular names are rumoured to join, reports specifically suggest that Splitsvilla fame Harsh Arora is likely to participate this year. As per a Tellychakkar report, the OTT format for Bigg Boss was initially phased out entirely this year. But now, the showrunners are planning a big twist with Bigg Boss OTT 4's return in August, this time with none other than Salman Khan as host. If this goes through, Bigg Boss OTT 4 would be followed by Bigg Boss Season 19, which is expected to air in October. Confirming the same, a source told Indian Express, 'What is sure is that the show will happen with the Viacom group, mostly on Jio Hotstar, however, clarity on the same is yet to come. As of now, it's not decided if the OTT version will air first or the TV version; it might just happen in the same old way it has been running all this while."
