Ghost Becomes First Hard Rock Band to Top Albums Chart in Four Years
Preceded by the single 'Satanized,' the 10-song 'Skeletá' launches to the top of the list with 86,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week, according to Luminate. It is the Swedish hard rock band's first full-length project since 2022's 'Impera,' which previously debuted at No. 2.

Vinyl purchases comprised nearly half of Ghost's units sold this year with the sale of over 44,000 copies. That's not just the largest sales week on vinyl for Ghost, but the biggest week for a hard rock album on vinyl in the modern era (since Luminate began tracking data in 1991). It's also the third-largest sales week on vinyl in the modern era for any rock album, following the debut weeks of Blink-182's 'One More Time… ' and Boygenius' 'The Record.'
Ghost will support their new record with a tour that will hit Europe and North America with performances in Antwerp, Berlin and Paris, in addition to New York, Las Vegas, Austin and Houston.
The remaining titles topping the Billboard 200 are SZA's 'SOS' at No. 2 slips to No. 2; Kendrick Lamar's 'GNX' at No. 3; Morgan Wallen's 'One Thing at a Time' at No. 4; Sabrina Carpenter's 'Short n' Sweet' at No. 5; PartyNextDoor and Drake's '$ome $exy $ongs 4 U' at No. 6 and Bad Bunny's 'Debí Tirar Más Fotos' at No. 7.
Shaboozey's 'Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going' also climbs to No. 8 with 35,000 equivalent album units earned (up 110%) after a deluxe reissue of the album was released on April 25. 'Where I've Been' originally debuted and peaked at No. 5 on the June 15, 2024-dated list.

Rebel Wilson Faces New Lawsuit from 'The Deb' Producers, Shares Film Clip in Defiant Response
Rebel Wilson's 'The Deb' premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024 but has not received a public release yet due to an ongoing legal battle Rebel Wilson is reacting to a new lawsuit filed against her by the production company behind her directorial debut The Deb in Australia. On Friday, July 25, outlets like The Guardian, News Australia and The Sydney Morning Herald reported that the U.K. based company AI Film filed a lawsuit in Australia's New South Wales Supreme Court alleging that Wilson, 45, has deliberately sabotaged the movie's release and that she has caused the company "financial and reputational damage." In response, the Pitch Perfect actress posted the opening number to the movie musical on Instagram and a lengthy message on her Instagram Stories stating the new lawsuit "makes no sense." "As the director, producer and co-star who nurtured a project called THE DEB for 5 years from a 3 page idea into a gorgeous feature film - I want nothing more than to have this film released and have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to get this to happen," Wilson wrote in part on her Instagram Stories. "To say otherwise is complete nonsense. I'm so proud of the film!" Wilson wrote that she believes the new lawsuit constitutes "continued bullying and harassment from" the movie's financiers at AI Films, Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron and Vince Holden. Ghost, Cameron and Holden originally filed a lawsuit against Wilson in California in July 2024, claiming that she sought to receive "credit for work she did not do" on the film related to the project's original music. As Wilson claimed at the time and now, the producers attempted to prevent the movie from making its world premiere at last year's Toronto International Film Festival; the movie ultimately did premiere despite the ongoing legal battle, but has not released publicly. That lawsuit is ongoing. 'These proceedings are regrettable but essential to ensure The Deb's timely release," AI Films told The Guardian in a statement on July 25. "It's a joyous, fun film, and we are sure that audiences are going to love it.' Attorneys for Wilson filed a countersuit against Ghost, Cameron and Holden in October 2024, alleging that the trio deliberately misappropriated $900,000 in Australian currency from the movie's budget, coerced her signature on agreements related to the movie under duress, and that Ghost sexually harassed The Deb's lead actress Charlotte MacInnes, which allegedly caused the person "to suffer a breakdown." Per The Guardian, MacInnes later filed a declaration in the U.S. court stating that Wilson fabricated the claims, describing them as 'completely false and absurd." On July 25, Wilson wrote that she was releasing the first song from The Deb, a number titled "F--- My Life," because it's a phrase she has grown used to using during the ongoing legal battle. "Every day since discovering their dodgy behavior (reported by cast and crew) I have said "F--- my life" but not in the fun way like in the song - in the way of like 'how on earth did my joyful directorial debut get s--- on by vile financiers who spew toxicity ALL because I told the truth about them,' " she wrote. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. In Wilson's Instagram Stories, she renewed her allegations that the producer trio stole money from the film's budget and that a cast member reported feeling uncomfortable with one of the producer's actions on set. "I reported both things. I'd do the same again. I believe in a safe and inclusive workplace," Wilson wrote."I've moved on, now directing my 2nd movie and loving it. But regarding THE DEB all I can literally say is 'F--- my life" with tears in my eyes and a heavy heart. Everyone who worked on the movie and who knows me KNOWS I put my blood, sweat and tears into this," she added. "Everyone knows I'm a "truth teller" when it comes to vile people in the industry. I just want this movie to come out and for all the amazingly talented contributors to be recognized for their sensational work!" Read the original article on People

Drake and Central Cee drop new track after Wireless tease
Drake has dropped a new single with UK rapper Central Cee ahead of a three-night run of shows in Manchester. The song - Which One - was revealed during an episode of the Canadian's Iceman stream, broadcast on Thursday, which was filmed around the city. It features scenes of the rapper running from a pursuer in a Pinocchio mask - a symbol fans interpreted as "lies" following Drake around. Which One is the second collaboration between the Hotline Bling star and Central Cee, who released his first album at the start of this year. The artists previously came together in the booth back in 2023 for the song On the Radar Freestyle. Drake teased his latest during the second of his three headline slots at London's Wireless festival. He brought Central Cee on-stage during his performance, and told the crowd: "I'm so proud of this guy. "He's going around the world, killing it, shutting down every show, record after record." Drake also praised other UK rappers during his takeover of the festival. "Nobody can out-rap London rappers. This is the best, this is the highest level," he told fans. Drake's feud with Kendrick Lamar captivated music fans last year, and any new release from either rapper is scoured for references to the other. Earlier this month, Drake released What Did I Miss? which addressed the beef, questioning the loyalty of friends choosing to hang around with his rivals. Fans speculated he was referring to NBA player LeBron James and fellow Toronto singer The Weeknd. The song debuted at number two on the US Billboard 100 chart, and Drake expressed frustration at being kept off the top spot by Alex Warren's hit Ordinary. "I'm taking that soon don't worry, one song or another," he wrote on his Instagram Story. Iceman will be Drake's 9th studio album and his first solo release since 2023's For All Of The Dogs, which went to number one in the charts. "I'm working on my album, we got a lot to talk about," he told the crowd at his Birmingham concert this week, part of his first UK tour in 6 years. In February, he released $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, a collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, which features the viral hit 'Nokia'. Drake is one of the most-streamed artists in the world and is currently tied with Michael Jackson as the male solo artist with most number one songs (13) in Billboard Hot 100 history.
