The Italian, riding for UAE Team ADQ, finished fourth on the final stage to secure the pink jersey.

Having only taken the race lead on the penultimate stage, Longo Borghini was 18 seconds clear of nearest challenger Marlen Reusser of Movistar in the general classification.
Australian Sarah Gigante of AG Insurance-Soudal Team completed the podium.
"I'm lost for words. This Giro was intense, packed with emotions, unforgettable," said Longo Borghini.
"I knew I was going to have to give everything and that's what I did. Cycling is full of highs and lows, and moments like this make the sacrifice worthwhile."
Liane Lippert, also of Movistar, won the extremely hilly 134km eighth and final stage from Forli to Imola.

The German beat SD Worx-Protime's Anna van der Breggen in a two-up sprint finish.
Although Reusser got ahead of Longo Borghini for third, the four-second time bonus was not enough for the Swiss rider.

Negotiations between Inter Milan and Spezia for up-and-coming defender Christos Alexiou have reached 'advanced' stages. According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira via FCInterNews, the youngster should join the Aquilotti on loan. Francesco Pio Esposito made a name for himself at Stadio Alberto Picco last season. Therefore, Spezia see Christos Alexiou as the next promising talent to benefit from regular minutes in their backline. Inter Milan & Spezia in Talks for Christos Alexiou The two clubs are ironing out the final details, with a deal expected to come soon. Indeed, Alexiou should join the Serie B side on a season-long loan. However, whether Spezia would have a buyout option remains uncertain. Meanwhile, it would be Alexiou's first taste of senior football in Italy. He has been part of the Primavera squad since joining Inter from Atromitos in 2021. Furthermore, he captained the U20 side and featured in the UEFA Youth League with great success. Alexiou's impressive showings at the youth level have not gone unnoticed. Indeed, Greek powerhouse Olympiacos showed interest in his services toward the end of last season. However, talks between the clubs never took off as Alexiou looks close to joining Spezia.

Tadej Pogačar crashes at Stage 11 of 2025 Tour de France

Jonas Abrahamsen of UCI ProTeam Uno-X Mobility came away with his first career Tour de France stage win on Wednesday. He was able to edge out Mauro Schmid of Jayco AlUla at the finish line. The two were ahead of Mathieu Van Der Poel, who didn't have enough to catch the two leaders (Abrahamsen and Schmid), finishing about seven seconds behind. For a moment, the story of the day wasn't Abrahamsen's first career stage win; it was a shocking crash that took place with just a few kilometers to go. Tadej Pogačar crashes at Tour de France Stage 11 With around 4km left in the stage, Tadej Pogačar was clipped by a passing rider, creating a single rider crash. Luckily, Pogačar avoided hitting his head and was able to get back on his feet fairly quickly. This could have been a more serious situation if the crash had played out differently. Pogačar could have lost time on competitors Jonas Vingegaard and current yellow jersey holder Ben Healey (general classification leader), but great sportsmanship was shown, as they waited for Pogačar to catch up with the group. Ireland's Ben Healy holds a 29-second lead over Pogačar heading into stage 12 tomorrow.
