Influencer hits back at cruel troll who shames her postpartum body just seven weeks after giving birth

Daily Mail19 hours ago
Christie Swadling lashed out at a cruel troll online on Saturday after they attempted to body shame her following the birth of her first child.
The influencer, 28, welcomed a son named Rocco with her fiancé Joel Price in May, and has since been very open about her postpartum body on Instagram.
But one hater left a vile comment beneath one of her recent photos, telling the new mum to 'get a bit of respect' and not wear revealing clothing post-birth.
Christie took a screenshot of the nasty message and shared it to her Stories alongside the image the troll was criticising.
The picture saw Christie posing with her back to the camera while wearing a form-fitting hot pink dress.

'Everything is hanging out! Get a bit of respect, honey,' said the critic.
Christie quickly hit back at them, writing: 'God forbid a woman's body changes after giving birth (7 weeks postpartum, might I add).'
It comes after Christie shared a candid look at her postpartum figure, two days after giving birth to a healthy baby boy in May.
She shared a gallery of maternity content to social media at the time, confirming she had given birth to her first child.
A few days later, she filmed herself wearing a pair of nude underwear and a slip dress, which she held up over her belly as she examined it in her bathroom mirror.
'Women are so incredible! Entering motherhood with nothing but love for my body and what it can do, no rush to bounce back or change,' she captioned the post.
'Also humbling when I get home and Rocco's older brother asks why I still look pregnant.'
In a second photo of baby Rocco wrapped in his designer swaddle blanket, Christie shared the quote a second time.
But one hater left a vile comment beneath one of her recent photos, telling the new mum to 'get a bit of respect' and not wear revealing clothing post-birth
'Kaden this afternoon: "How come you still look kinda pregnant?" Love kids x,' she captioned the photo of her newborn.
In further baby updates, posted to her 122,000 Instagram followers, Christie wrote: 'My world is now complete and I'm so in love.
'Being a new mum can be so challenging and I'm really entering this with open arms and zero judgement towards myself, as him and I are both learning each other.
'But I'm so in love and truly this is the best achievement in the entire world.'
The fitness influencer said her first afternoon at home with Rocco was full of 'bonding time' with his brother and visiting family members, as well as 'a well-deserved glass of wine and takeaway food'.

Canberra Raiders stars produce one of the most ridiculous try celebrations ever seen during NRLW season-opener

The Canberra Raiders' NRLW side produced one of the most bizarre try celebrations ever seen, with two players appearing to mimic a farmer milking a cow. Try July has returned for the sixth time and will see players around the NRL and NRLW showcase their best celebrations to help raise money for charity. And during their season-opening match against the Dragons, Raiders NRLW stars Sophie Holyman and Chante Temara made their celebration entry. Temara set up Holyman for a try in the second half, popping the ball up to the prop-forward who blasted through the defence to put Canberra within four points of St George, with 16 minutes left on the clock. But after touching down, Holyman knelt down on the floor and appeared to pretend to be a cow. Temara then knelt down next to her team-mate and moved her hands as if she were milking. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Common Sport (@ The pair laughed and shared a quick hug after the celebration. But they left commentators perplexed by the bizarre moment. 'Oh my goodness,' one commentator said. 'OK... Dairy farmer, dairy farmer,' another added. 'We're off to the dairy, we should stress,' the commentator said. It came after the Raiders NRL side also produced a hilarious celebration last year appearing to take a jab at England cricket star Jonny Bairstow. They mimiced the England wicket keeper's controversial stumping by Alex Carey during the 2023 Ashes Series on the side of the footy pitch. Meanwhile, league's top-two try scorers added to their individual tallies as St George Illawarra sealed a 36-14 win at the GIO Stadium. Dragons fullback Teagan Berry registered her 30th four-pointer and Raiders winger Madison Bartlett scored her 27th in the Red V's victory. Eighteen-year-old debutant Indie Bostock took just three minutes to score a runaway 80-metre try for the Dragons after being called up into the centres from the extended bench. The star of the NSW U19s State of Origin win last month, and the sister of Dolphins winger Jack, added a second by supporting Berry down the right after the break. That put the visitors up 18-4 but the Raiders' revival came through tries to Bartlett and Holyman. St George Illawarra responded with another three tries - Berry, halfback and captain Raecene McGregor and winger Margot Vella. The Dragons only won two of nine games last year but rookie coach Nathan Cross seems to have them on course for a few more in 2025.

The Block's Darren Palmer sells Bondi Beach pad for a whopping $8.25 million - making a tidy profit on luxe coastal rebuild

The Block star Darren Palmer has quietly offloaded his luxe Bondi Beach home for a cool $8.25 million - more than doubling what he originally paid for the property. Palmer, 46, and his husband Olivier Duvillard, a cosmetics executive, finally closed the deal on their four-bedroom, four-bathroom sanctuary just metres from the surf after pulling it from auction earlier this year. According to the couple had listed the property on Sir Thomas Mitchell Road with a price guide of $7.95 million in April, but opted for a private sale after the right buyer failed to materialise on auction day. Their patience paid off. Celebrity agent Alexander Phillips secured the sale off-market to a buyer from their database - setting a new street record in the process. Darren and Olivier originally snapped up the 1930s Californian bungalow for $2.98 million in 2015 and completely transformed it in a major rebuild in 2022. The three-storey residence features designer finishes throughout - including a statement open fireplace, natural stone kitchen, a dreamy master suite, and an outdoor plunge pool framed by palm trees. 'This is actually the longest-term house I've had in my entire life, except for when I was a child,' Darren revealed in an interview with Home Beautiful earlier this year. When Darren purchased it in the mid 2010s, the home had already been raised to two levels before the author forged ahead with his own renovation plans. Darren collaborated with architect John Deuchrass and construction company Taste Living to completely rebuild the home after he bought it. 'The poor old house has a lot to be improved upon. I spent years imagining what it might be when it was completely done,' Darren told Domain. He went on to say he kept only one bedroom 'with the original 1920s horsehair plaster ornate ceiling' but ended up renovating the rest over two years. It's not the only property Darren and Olivier have offloaded recently. Celebrity agent Alexander Phillips secured the sale off-market to a buyer from their database - setting a new street record in the process The pair also quietly sold their Byron Bay retreat for $2.6 million to fashion entrepreneur Candice Rose O'Rourke, founder of the popular lifestyle label Zulu & Zephyr, and her husband Josh. That dreamy coastal property, located just 100m from Tallow Beach, boasted its own private path to the sand and offered all the trimmings of a Byron escape - think open-plan living, neutral tones, and breezy design perfect for barefoot luxury. Darren will, meanwhile, return to The Block when the renovation series returns to TV in August.

Tammy Hembrow leaves fans confused as she's seen wearing her diamond wedding ring following split from husband Matt Zukowski

Tammy Hembrow is heading for divorce after splitting from her husband of just seven months, Matt Zukowski. But the influencer, 31, left her fans confused on Sunday as she was spotted again wearing what appeared to be her wedding ring, after previously ditching it following the split. In a series of photos and videos shared to Instagram, Tammy posed in a bridal white mini dress as she enjoyed a green juice. Her followers couldn't help but notice the bling on her finger, with the fitness queen seemingly having resumed wearing her wedding ring despite being separated. 'Has she still got her ring on??' questioned one fan in the comments section below the post. The influencer, 31, left her fans confused on Sunday as she was spotted again wearing what appeared to be her wedding ring, after previously ditching it following the split 'I still wore my ring for almost a year after my husband and I separated, it was hard to take off, I did it when I was ready,' reasoned another person. 'That's beautiful. She deserves it!' yet another supporter commented. Others argued that Tammy didn't have the wedding ring on, but another, similar accessory. 'She bought herself some jewellery including a ring, like the queen she is,' one person said. 'Doesn't look like it, but it's pretty heartbreaking. I still wore mine for a few months,' someone else posted. Another chimed in: 'Could be old filmed content, doesn't mean it's the same day it's posted.' Sparing no expense on her luxury wedding ring, Tammy opted for a band of huge glittering diamonds while Matt opted for a more traditional plain white gold band. An Australian jeweller has estimated that it would have set the star back a massive $23,000. James Harris, Regional Sales Manager at Austen & Blake, exclusively told Daily Mail Australia: 'The beautiful wedding band is an eternity style band with what appears to be oval cut diamonds, most likely a full eternity style ring. 'I would say this band would be valued at around $23,000, if it was indeed a full eternity style band. ' Paired with Tammy's stunning engagement ring with a larger, bold diamond and delicate band, the set conveys sophistication and glamour, with stones from both rings complementing each other perfectly.' Meanwhile, Zack Stone - managing director of Steven Stone Jewellers - added: 'Her wedding band is a stunning diamond eternity ring adorned with oval cut stones. 'Symbolising eternal love and commitment, the continuous band of diamonds forms an unbroken circle, representing a love that will last forever.' It is not known whether Tammy's wedding ring was once again designed by Armans, after she purchased her engagement ring from the high-end Sydney jewellers. Her $46,000 engagement ring features an oval-cut diamond, estimated to be around two carats, which sits on a full diamond band. It comes after Tammy fled the country after announcing her shock split from husband Matt in June, spending some time in New Zealand healing her wounds. Tammy was very much in doting mother mode as she enjoyed an idyllic getaway with her children – Wolf, nine, daughter Saskia, seven, and toddler Posy, three. She returned to her native Queensland on Friday for some 'downtime with the gals' at Alvins Wine Bar. Tammy caught up with her girlfriends Isabella Laws, podcast host Stephanie Mac, and Casey Mccauley over cocktails and a charcuterie board. The mum-of-three announced her separation from her husband Matt in an emotional video last month. Tammy was previously engaged twice, to Reece Hawkins and Matt Poole, but never married either of them. The Love Island Australia star also announced the couple's separation in a sombre Instagram Story, telling fans the decision was not taken lightly. 'It's with a heavy heart I share that Tammy and I have decided to separate,' Matt began. 'Both of us have struggled with making this decision; however, we need to do what is right for ourselves and her three children. 'This wasn't a decision we took lightly. Our time together will always be cherished and never forgotten,' he added. Despite their short-lived marriage, both parties have asked for privacy as they adjust to life post-breakup. 'We appreciate everyone's support and space at this time as we navigate the split,' Matt concluded in his emotional post. The news came less than 24 hours after Matt was spotted spending time with sports journalist Tayla Little at the London Tavern in Melbourne. Tammy and Matt tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Château Du Soleil in Byron Bay on November 23. They got engaged in December 2023, following just three months of dating. The jet-setting pair became engaged in the Maldives, before heading off to Greece and Bali for luxury holidays.
