On the work front, reports suggest that Sohail is currently working on a two-hero script that will feature Sanjay Dutt and Aayush Sharma in the titular roles. Several meetings have already taken place between them and the project is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2025.
A source earlier told Pinkvilla, 'Both Sanjay and Sohail are very thrilled to work on this project. Sanjay Dutt will play a larger-than-life avatar, while Aayush will play the boy next door. The film's pre-production has already begun, and the filmmakers intend to start shooting later this year. The film contains aspects of the gangster genre and is set in Punjab."
This marks Sohail's second collaboration with Sanjay after their 2002 romantic action thriller Maine Dil Tujhko Diya. Apart from that, the former has helmed films like Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, Hello Brother, Auzaar, Jai Ho and Freaky Ali. The project marks his return to the director's chair after nine years.
An official announcement of the project is yet to be made.

Saiyaara 3rd Saturday India Box Office: Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer grows by good 45 percent; Adds STRONG Rs 7 crore

Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri and starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda among others, grew well on 3rd Saturday at the Indian box office. After a good Rs 4.75 crore net on 3rd Friday, the movie grew by a healthy 45-50 percent to net Rs 7 crore. The total collections of the movie have gone past Rs 290 crore and on 3rd Monday, it will be a part of the glorious Rs 300 crore club. The film will go over Rs 325 crore and end its run in the Rs 335 crore vicinity, which is spectacular. The Day Wise India Net Collections Of Saiyaara Are As Under Particulars India Net Collections Week 1 Rs 173.75 crore Week 2 Rs 106.25 crore 3rd Friday Rs 4.75 crore 3rd Saturday Rs 7 crore Total Rs 291.75 crore in 16 days Saiyaara, Despite An Excellent Rs 7 Crore 3rd Saturday, Won't Breach The Number That The Trade Expected It To Reach At one point, Saiyaara looked to enter the Rs 400 crore India net club. However, the film's collections got impacted by the growing hype around Mahavatar Narsimha. The effects were felt over the 2nd weekend. In its 3rd weekend, Saiyaara has become the 3rd most preferred movie option for Hindi moviegoers, after Mahavatar Narsimha and Son Of Sardaar 2. Saiyaara Is A 1 Horse Race Internationally The case is completely different internationally as Saiyaara continues to go strong. In UK, it is having a kind of run that has not been seen in ages for a mid-sized Indian film. A USD 15 million overseas finish is a foregone conclusion for the Mohit Suri directorial and it is now to be seen if the movie can break into the USD 20 million club or not. The global collections may not breach Rs 600 crore gross but they will comfortably be over Rs 550 crore. Saiyaara In Theatres Saiyaara has shattered many myths. A film doesn't have to star big names or be part of a big IP to rake big numbers. If the audience accepts your film, it can take you to the sky. Saiyaara plays in theatres now. Dhadak 2 Day 2 India Box Office: Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's shows muted growth after decent first day; Adds Rs 3.75 crore on Saturday

Dhadak 2, directed by Shazia Iqbal and starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Triptii Dimri and others, didn't get desired growth on its second day at the India box office. After a day 1 of Rs 3.50 crore with the aid of discount offers, the movie grew by just 5-10 percent on day 2 to add Rs 3.75 crore net on day 2. The below par growth on day 2 is obviously due to the discount offer not being continued for day 2, and strong competition from holdover releases. The Shazia Iqbal movie heads for a low-ish Rs 11.50 crore net opening weekend. The Day Wise India Net Collections Of Dhadak 2 Are As Under Dhadak 2 Was Helped Significantly By The Dhadak Brand Dhadak 2, from the promos itself, never felt like a film with big screen potential. One of the very few reasons why Dhadak 2 is able to put even this much on the board is because it is a sequel to the hit film Dhadak. If not for the Dhadak brand, the collections would have been lower. The clash was with Son Of Sardaar 2 but the movie's actual threat has been holdover releases Saiyaara and Mahavatar Narsimha. Due to strong performance of the holdover releases, Dhadak 2 was forced to have a targetted 1000 screen release where the potential to grow was always going to be limited. Dhadak 2 Hopes For Decent Hold On Monday For A Reasonable Theatrical Trend Dhadak 2 now aims to hold decently on Monday to have a shot at a Rs 25 crore net lifetime. If the movie doesn't hold on Monday, a Rs 20 crore lifetime may also be difficult. Like most Dharma films though, the movie has recovered its budget from non-theatrical revenue sources and won't be a loss-making proposition for the producers. Dhadak 2 In Theatres Dhadak 2 plays in theatres now. Tickets for the movie can be booked from the box office or from online ticketing websites. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
