Twelve years ago, a street-smart, jugaadu Delhi boy changed the game for Indian buddy comedies. That boy was Hunny, and Pulkit Samrat made him unforgettable.
As Fukrey completes 12 years since its release in 2013, Pulkit took to Instagram to reflect on the character that became a cult favourite. Sharing a nostalgic note, he wrote, '‼️Warning: This Hunny comes with 12 years of sweet nostalgia. Proceed with FUKRAPANTI 😉🎬
STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD
Sending biggg love to my Fukrey fam - the cast, crew & all the jugaadu geniuses behind the madness… and a special shoutout to the audience for turning our crazy into something truly iconic! Thank you so much for all the love.🤍 '#12YearsOfFukrey
Pulkit's portrayal of Hunny — the sharp, charming mastermind with a jugaadu heart — became the pulse of Fukrey. With his hustle, humour, and heart, Hunny resonated with an entire generation. His on-screen chemistry with Choocha, Zafar, Lali, and Bholi Punjaban became the soul of the franchise and helped redefine modern-day bromance in Hindi cinema.
What started as a small, quirky comedy grew into a pop-culture phenomenon with two successful sequels. And through it all, Hunny remained Pulkit's most loved and rooted character — funny, fearless, and full of heart.
Up next, Pulkit is set to break new ground with Glory, a gritty boxing drama, and Suswagatam Khushamadeed, a cross-cultural romance and Rahu Ketu which he is shooting currently in Kasol.

OnlyFans creator Gabriella Zuniga sparks controversy by selling s*x tape amid ongoing $50M lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe
Gabriella Zuniga is now offering a s*x tape to subscribers, intensifying the legal battle with Shannon Sharpe (Images via Instagram and Getty Images) The legal battle between former NFL star Shannon Sharpe and OnlyFans creator Gabriella Zuniga has taken an even more sensational turn. Zuniga, also known online as "Karli," is now offering a s*x tape to subscribers who tip over $2,000—despite being in the midst of a $50 million lawsuit against Sharpe, which includes serious allegations of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and coercion. Gabriella Zuniga's explicit content offer raises public and legal questions At just 21 years old, Gabriella Zuniga's decision to promote adult content while pursuing a high-profile legal case has ignited a firestorm of debate online. Critics argue her move could damage her credibility and shift public perception of the lawsuit. Supporters counter that she's continuing her career as an adult content creator, independent of the case at hand. Notably, Zuniga has not confirmed whether the tape involves Sharpe, a point that adds ambiguity and intrigue to an already explosive case. Given the legal implications, it seems unlikely she would directly tie the content to the former athlete, though the timing of her announcement has undeniably complicated the narrative. Legal teams release conflicting evidence in heated court battle Represented by high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee—known for taking on Deshaun Watson and Sean 'Diddy' Combs—Zuniga alleges a disturbing pattern of manipulation by Sharpe. This includes claims of non-consensual recordings and threats of violence. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Buzbee released audio recordings in which Sharpe allegedly states he would "choke" her, painting a picture of abuse behind the scenes. Sharpe, 56, has firmly denied all allegations through his lawyer, Lanny Davis, calling the lawsuit 'an extortion attempt.' In response, Davis released explicit messages that appear to show a consensual relationship between the two. One message reportedly even features Zuniga expressing a desire to have Sharpe's child. According to court documents, the two met at a Los Angeles gym in 2023, when Zuniga was just 19. She claims their relationship evolved from flirtation to deep emotional and psychological distress. Career fallout and postponed projects for Shannon Sharpe The scandal has already had serious career repercussions for Sharpe. Once on the brink of signing a $100 million media deal, the NFL Hall of Famer has since stepped away from First Take and postponed his Nightcap podcast tour with co-host Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson. 'We've decided to postpone the Nightcap tour,' Sharpe stated. 'We look forward to seeing you guys in the summer of 2026. It's going to be even bigger, even better.' Gender Bender: Queer voices take centrestage in city theatre scene
On June 26, even as Pride Month draws to a close, a stage in Andheri will witness something unprecedented: a man performing lavani as a man. Traditionally considered as much a woman's domain as ballet or Bharatanatyam, the centuries-old Maharashtrian dance form has long featured women playing women and men cross-dressing to play women. But when Sopinath Patokar takes the stage, his character will seduce his lover through a masculine version of lavani, stripped of its signature feminine gestures. "This has never happened before," says Bhushan Korgaonkar, who has worked with lavani artists for two decades. "A seductive lavani has never been performed by a man with masculine attributes." That break from tradition is just one of the many subversions in 'Rang Birangi Lavni', a Hindi musical play co-directed by Korgaonkar and Kunal Vijaykar. It features lavani artists performing seven nugget-sized stories with queer protagonists—a non-binary person on a date, a trans woman explaining the power of make-up to her brother, and even a character in love with a tree. "Though lavani has always had a colourful legacy, the word 'queer' did not exist," says Korgaonkar. "Our effort is to normalise its queer themes by stating them matter-of-factly, without colouring or baggage." Since homosexuality was decriminalised in 2018, Mumbai's theatre has increasingly embraced nuanced queer narratives. Playwright Vikram Phukan has been both a chronicler and contributor to this shift. As a drama school faculty member, he recently led students through a course exploring 100 queer-themed plays, many echoing his lived experiences. Phukan's 2019 debut 'Those Left Behind Things' was inspired by Iranian asylum seekers he met in Nottingham. His latest, 'Postcards from Colaba', blends theatre and heritage walk, guiding audiences through Colaba's lanes with promenade-style performances that reveal queer histories through verse. The idea stemmed from an article he once wrote about Mumbai's underground gay scene in the 1980s. To prepare the cast, he sent them on a "treasure hunt" across Colaba to find sites tied to queer lives. The play intertwines archival and fictional elements, referencing figures like filmmaker Riyad Vinci Wadia and theatre maverick Sultan "Bobby" Padamsee. Now staged in English and Hindi, it has connected with many who weren't expecting a play at all. "Most audiences are non-queer, mainly women—many of whom connect with its universal themes," says Phukan. In 2022, G5A staged 'Nava', directed by Sharanya Ramprakash, where nine urban trans women interpreted the classical 'navarasa' through performances based on their lives—from the joy of wearing a saree for the first time to the trauma of emerging from a sewage pipe. "They weren't trained actors," says Phukan, who saw the play. "The performances emerged through workshops and storytelling." "Actors are more comfortable with queer roles now, and audiences—especially women—are more accepting," he says. When 'Be-Loved' opened, director Sapan Saran was unsure how audiences would respond to its portrayal of queer love and longing. "I was quite worried... especially at an emotional level," she says. That diversity, for her, is foundational, not performative. The play weaves together poetry, dialogues, music, abstraction, and arguments, without a fixed script. "Form follows text," says Saran. She kept 'Be-Loved' rooted in contemporary voices. Censorship, however, remains a concern. Some directors submit sanitised scripts to avoid cuts; others take risks. One such director submitted a dystopian play where resistance to state censorship is central. "I didn't want to alter the script just to secure a certificate easily," he says. A dramatic reveal where the protagonist is shown to be gay was flagged—but a board member also left a note saying that while homosexuality remained sensitive, the scene was integral. "I was surprised he actually read the script and responded with such nuance," says the director, who assumed it would be a mere formality. For Puja Sarup, queerness on stage isn't just about identity, but about reimagining possibility. Her drag king persona, Rocky—"definitely Shammi Kapoor himself"—channels gender-fluid swagger. "It wasn't the stoic and 'gambhir' hero," she says. "The way he moved… wow, a hero can be like this." That departure from hypermasculine tropes is part of the joy. "It's just joyous playing Rocky." 'The Gentlemen's Club', which was co-created by Phukan and premiered in 2015, also features Sarup as a drag king real estate agent-turned-comedian. "He cracks the most 'bakwas' jokes," she laughs. In the 2000s, Mumbai saw an all-male lavani troupe—'Bin Baykancha Tamasha'—where men trained to play women. "Not every story has a serious message," says Korgaonkar. "Sometimes, the best way to normalise something is through humour." | Follow more information on Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad here .
