Sheryl Crow reveals terrifying break-in after rallying against Elon Musk's Tesla

Metro01-05-2025

Sheryl Crow has detailed how she was left 'afraid' after an armed man was discovered on her property.
The American singer-songwriter is best known for her 90s tracks All I Wanna Do, Strong Enough and Tomorrow Never Dies.
Throughout her career, she's won nine Grammy Awards and sold over 50 million albums worldwide.
She's also appeared in a string of shows and movies, including 30 Rock, Cougar Town, One Tree Hill, and NCIS: New Orleans.
However, she's now revealed she was recently left terrified after a man appeared at her home following criticism she made of Elon Musk.
In February, the Nashville-based musician, 63, shared a video waving goodbye to her Tesla car as it was being towed away.
'My parents always said… you are who you hang out with,' she captioned the post on Instagram.
'There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long Tesla.
'Money donated to @npr, which is under threat by President Musk, in hopes that the truth will continue to find its way to those willing to know the truth.'
The organisation she donated to was the National Public Radio, which Musk indicated he wanted to defund as part of his blitz to cut billions of dollars from the U.S. Government's budget.
But a few months on she's explained how a man was so incensed by her actions he turned up at her house.
Sheryl lives in Tennessee where there is widespread support for the Republican Party.
'This feels different, because when I came out against Walmart carrying guns [in a 1996 song], not everybody was armed — and certainly I didn't live in Tennessee, where everybody is armed,' she told Variety. https://www.instagram.com/p/DGEf88eBMVX/
'So yeah, there was a moment where I actually really felt very afraid: A man got on my property, in my barn, who was armed.
'It doesn't feel safe when you're dealing with people who are so committed.'
When asked by the publication if she would post the video again given the extreme response.
After saying she 'can't help' but think she would, Sheryl added she felt like she was 'fighting for my kids' – sons Wyatt, 18, and Levi, 15.
'That's the way I was raised. There have been times when it hasn't really been fun, but I follow my Atticus Finch dad; I'm very similar to him if I see something that seems unfair, you know?' she explained.
In the same interview Sheryl admitted she'd' struggled' living in Tennessee since moving from Los Angeles in 2003.
However, she explained she called her representatives 'every day' as she said: 'We have to stand up and be vocal and fight for the future for our kids.'
Musk served as the leader of Donald Trump's hugely controversial Department of Government Efficiency since the president took office for his second term in January, however the cuts in government funding have been widely slammed. More Trending
Earlier this month it was also revealed the profits of Musk's company Tesla had fell by 71%, while its stock plummeted more than 40%.
Musk alone has lost at least £102 billion since the beginning of 2025, according to Bloomberg.
In March he held back tears telling Fox Business that running his company right now saw him facing 'great difficulty'.

Lorenzo Musetti avoids disqualification after kicking a ball at a line judge

In the second set of his quarter-final against American Frances Tiafoe, Musetti booted the ball in frustration and it hit the woman, standing about three metres away, in the chest. Tiafoe looked stunned at the other end of the court and gestured towards the umpire, who eventually gave Musetti a code violation. Lorenzo Musetti received a warning for unsportsmanlike conduct after this incident 😳 #RolandGarros — TNT Sports (@tntsports) June 3, 2025 There were echoes of Novak Djokovic being defaulted at the 2020 US Open after accidentally hitting a female line judge with a ball. Tiafoe, the 15th seed, said: 'I mean, obviously he did that and nothing happened. I think that's comical, but it is what it is. 'Nothing happened, so there's nothing really to talk about. Obviously it's not consistent, so it is what it is.' Former player-turned broadcaster Rennae Stubbs wrote on X: 'Wow Musetti is very lucky to be still on court right now. You cannot kick a ball and it hit the lines person and not be defaulted.' Musetti, who reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon last year, won the match 6-2 4-6 7-5 6-2 to progress to the last four at Roland Garros for the first time. He said: 'Yeah, I was a little bit, honestly, scared, because I really didn't want to harm nobody, of course. Wow Musetti is VERY LUCKY to be still on court right now. 'It was right to have a warning, but I think the umpire saw that there was no intention about that, and that's why probably just, you know, let me continue my game.' The French Open is the only one of the four grand slams to still use line judges rather than electronic line calling. Former British number one Tim Henman was defaulted in a Wimbledon doubles match in 1995 when a ball he hit across the net after a point had finished struck a ball kid. Henman, part of TNT Sports and Eurosport's coverage of Roland Garros, said: 'By the letter of the law, if you hit or kick a ball away in frustration and it hits a ball boy, line judge, or umpire, that can be a disqualification. 'When you look at that, the umpire could have interpreted that as a disqualification. However, if Musetti was disqualified for that, Musetti would feel very unlucky and aggrieved. Friday awaits. Musetti will meet defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, who steamrollered American 12th seed Tommy Paul 6-0 6-1 6-4 in another one-sided night match. 'I'm sorry you wanted to watch more tennis. I had to do my work,' Alcaraz told the Court Philippe-Chatrier crowd afterwards.

Sabrina Carpenter's savage dig at Barry Keoghan as fans come to same conclusion

Sabrina Carpenter announced her new tune will be released later this week and had her fans adamant it was a brutal dig toward ex-boyfriend, Irish star Barry Keoghan Sabrina Carpenter appeared to take aim at her ex Barry Keoghan as she announced her latest tune. The actress-turned-singer revealed her latest sing on Tuesday, taking to Instagram to make her announcement. She said her newest music will be released on Thursday evening and will be titled Manchild. The 26-year-old star had shared a tease video for the tune earlier in the week prior to Tuesday's confirmation. ‌ Her latest reveal seemed to be a dig at the actor. She wrote: "This one's about you!! 'Manchild' is out this Thursday 6/5 8pm EST. special 7' vinyl available now." ‌ And sharing lyrics from the song, she said: "Inside of your head when you've just won an argument with a man." In the video, Sabrina is seen wearing a white top, a pair of cheeky denim shorts and course, platform high heels. She is spotted hitchhiking in the clip, but is ignored by two cars passing by. The 17-second clip is silent, with no music heard over the scene. It ends with Sabrina saying "Oh, boy." The upload quickly get fans talking, and many seemed in agreement that the message was aimed at the Irishman. One user wrote: "And we know who you are talking about diva." Another agreed, saying: "Oh barry u are so over." A third added : "DRAG HIM BABE WE CANT WAIT." ‌ Following her reveal, a number of billboards have been spotted across different cities in the US. Some of the signs say: 'I swear they choose me, I'm not choosing them', 'Amen', Hey men!' and 'Manchild'. The singer is currently in the middle of her tour, 'Short n' Sweet'. Sabrina and Barry were first romantically linked back in 2023. The duo didn't go official until the following year, making their first public appearance at the after party at the Grammy Awards. ‌ With things seemingly going well, the Saltburn star even featured in Sabrina's Please, Please, Please song. It's thought the tune was about him too. Their linkup wasn't to last, with their relationship breaking down in December 2024. Reports claimed the duo had decided to call it quits in a bid to focus on their careers. The duo almost had an awkward reunion as they both attended this year's Met Gala in New York. The Espresso hitmaker and the dad-of-one posed together at the event in May last year after being first linked months prior. Three months later it was reported Sabrina and Barry had split up, with the Saltburn actor deactivating his social media accounts and issuing a damning statement as fans speculated he had cheated on his ex.
