Laura Anderson 'excited to have night off from baby' at Pride of Scotland Awards
The Scottish TV personality has shed some light on her new life with toddler Bonnie and footballer boyfriend Clark Robertson.
Scottish TV personality and former Love Islander Laura Anderson has taken to the red carpet tonight, Monday June 23, at the Daily Record's Pride of Scotland Awards. Now living a quiet life up north with her footballer boyfriend Clark Robertson, a centre-back for Dundee, the mum-of-one confessed that she was 'excited to have a night off from the baby', who she had with former partner Gary Lucy in November 2023.
The Daily Record's annual Pride of Scotland Awards will honour the nation's unsung heroes - ordinary people quietly living extraordinary lives and making a difference in their communities. The awards take place tonight, complete with a star-studded ceremony hosted by Elaine C Smith and Sanjeev Kohli.
Making up part of the celebrity guest list is ex Love Islander Laura Anderson, who lifted the lid on her newfound family life. Despite now living a quiet life away from the city with her boyfriend and baby Bonnie, the star was buzzing to be all dolled up in a gorgeous full-length yellow dress for the ceremony.
Laura told the Record: "Do you know what, I'm so excited.
"I'm so excited to have a night off from the baby - that sounds bad!
"I'm so nosey and I'm excited to meet and see what's been going on in Scotland, all the heroes, what everyone's been up to making a difference this year."
The star then opened up about her new home, where she and boyfriend Clark Robertson are living on the River Tay.
Laura said: "I don't want to be smug but for once in my life I am!"
However, living with her partner seems to be an adjustment for the star, as she teased about doing his washing.
She said: "I'm cleaning dirty boxers- living with your boyfriend isn't as glamorous as it first may seem."
The star then playfully joked that her footballer boyfriend was her 'second child'.
But she then added: "My boyfriend's quite tidy, and we just have such a nice relaxing life, I've moved up north out of the city and we have a nice big garden.
"Bonnie's having a great time, she starts nursery next week- I mean how did that happen?
"I'm sure I'll start crying when I drop her off.
"Life is good, but it's nice to come back here and just be all glam for the evening."
The Pride of Scotland Awards will celebrate the bravery and achievement from Scots individuals, including Sir Chris Hoy, who will be awarded the first ever Scotland's Champion Award.
From humbling acts of kindness and selfless acts of bravery to raising millions for charity, our country is bursting with incredible folk who have done amazing things that deserve to be celebrated.

Russell Grant's horoscopes as Aquarius told their partner will be jealous
Today's horoscopes, brought to you by Russell Grant. Today's daily horoscopes for each star sign can be found below. These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant who has been reading star signs for more than 50 years. Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20) You're eager to discuss ideas with others. But you also need to curb your enthusiasm as you don't want anyone to feel you are imposing your views and opinions on to them. Just as you won't be happy if someone tries to forcefully persuade you to adopt their perspective Taurus (Apr 21 - May 21) Choose your words carefully in discussions with a neighbour as they could be feeling quite sensitive. There will be topics that are delicate or that they will not want to talk about. Since you have a good understanding of what these are, you should have no problem steering clear of them Gemini (May 22 - June 21) Your approach towards anything financial will be unusually assertive today. When it comes to a disagreement with a partner or anyone else involved in managing the budget, you are likely to find yourself particularly resolute and eager to have things go your way. Remember to stay calm. Cancer (June 22 - July 23) Be prepared for a hugely symbolic moment when it comes to your career or the achievement of a special aim of yours. A number of people will benefit from your recent actions. An investigation will be launched in the workplace and a conclusion will be reached surprisingly quickly Leo (July 24 - Aug 23) This stands out as being one of the most delightful days of the month for you, particularly if you can set aside work and responsibilities for even a short length of time. Accept invitations to parties and social gatherings as you will relish the company of family and friends. Virgo (Aug 24 - Sept 23) You had not realised how talented a friend or colleague was until you started working with them on a joint project. Their insights will leave you wanting to learn more about them as their ideas are inspirational. You will also discover something new from a book or while watching TV. Libra (Sept 24 - Oct 23) When faced with the option of work or leisure, you are bound to opt for the latter. Even so, be mindful of the potential consequences of neglecting responsibilities. Your aim should be to maintain a healthy balance between obligations and your desire for fun. Scorpio (Oct 24 - Nov 22) If you're off on a holiday today you will be approaching this with a joyful spirit and a strong determination to enjoy every moment of your travels. Not only are you looking forward to this change of scenery but you can't wait to have some much-needed fun and relaxation. Sagittarius (Nov 23 - Dec 21) After a rather lengthy conversation you will need to confront the truth, no matter how uncomfortable this might be for you. A friendship isn't the same as it used to be and you both need to address what is building into a big problem. Sometimes people just drift apart, and that's OK. Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 20) You're faced with a tough decision and you have two options. This isn't going to be easy. To find true happiness you must choose one over the other. Having both isn't possible. If you must decide between two partners, make the decision now and commit to the one special person. Aquarius (Jan 21 - Feb 19) A close friend or partner will be showing signs of jealousy and possessiveness today. This could lead to emotional outbursts especially if they feel someone is encroaching on their territory. Their behaviour is likely to limit your freedom as you try to work out how to deal with this. Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20) If you must go shopping, then make a list and be sure to stick to it. Check your change and keep receipts too. If you are off on a journey, you have had a long time to plan and prepare for this and therefore you are hoping that little, if anything, will go wrong. But be ready if it does.

Jessie J's 'honest' cancer surgery update as she posts pictures from hospital
Jessie J was recently diagnosed with early breast cancer. Singer Jessie J has updated her fans after her breast cancer surgery. The star announced recently that she had been diagnosed with "early breast cancer" and would soon be undergoing surgery. Jessie shared some snaps of the last two days on her Instagram page, writing alongside it: "Blood warning. This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours. "I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit. "I am home now, to rest and wait for my results. Chanan is in a nurse outfit. No no, he isn't, but funny to imagine." Jessie performed at the Summertime Ball a few weeks ago, where she told the 80,000 strong audience that this would be the last performance before her surgery. She said: "Today, this show is my last show before I go to beat breast cancer! So it's so special to me you have no idea. I feel so special to be from the UK, to be an honest person and say how you feel. "This is my last show before go treatment and all the things It's the most special thing and I'm so grateful for this life, for you guys, for my career, to my, my son. "My partner, my parents. My family, my band, my crew." She added: "We are so lucky, we have so much to live for, so much joy, so much, so many things to do." Jessie made the announcement about her diagnosis in a video shared with fans online, reported the Mirror. She told them: "I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word 'early'. "It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job. I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music. I just wanted to be open and share it." She added: "One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. "I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse-that's the bit that kills me.. "The timing of it has been mad but also beautiful and given me this incredible perspective in this time. "But honestly I need to process it and talk about it and, I need a hug. You have loved me through all my good and hard times. And I don't want this to be any different." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
