Love Island's Laura Anderson reveals she loves being a WAG as she gushes over her 'very sexy' footballer boyfriend Clark Robertson

has revealed she loves being a WAG as she gushed that she finds watching her footballer boyfriend 'very sexy'. The former Love Islander star, 36, admitted she used to 'hate' watching the sport before finding love with Dundee defender Clark Robertson, 31. Laura, who found fame on the ITV2 dating show in 2018, previously dated Another Level's Dane Bowers, 45, and Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy - with whom she shares daughter Bonnie with - before meeting Clark. The TV personality revealed she is now learning the rules of football so she can enjoy watching him, fully embracing her duties as a WAG. She told The Sun: 'I guess I'm a WAG now, I actually really like football, I didn't really like it before. 'To be honest, it just reminded me of my dad hogging the remote when we were young and I never got to watch what I wanted to watch. 'But now I like going to the games - I think he looks very sexy actually because he's quite bossy on the pitch and he's not like that day-to-day, he's such a relaxed, chilled out guy, so on the pitch he's always pointing and I'm like ''what the hell what's going on?'' Single mother Laura, who split from Gary during her pregnancy, also opened up about her daughter Bonnie's first day at nursery as she admitted she 'cried her eyes out' after dropping her off. Laura, who quit her radio presenting gig on Capital Scotland's Breakfast Show in February after less than a year, added that she has 'no regrets' choosing her daughter over work opportunities as she suffered burnout juggling the early mornings. Laura recently hit back at trolls after suffering backlash for holidaying in the Maldives without her 21-month-old daughter. The reality star jetted off with her boyfriend Clark and shared a series of sun-soaked snaps from her romantic getaway. While many gushed over the stunning snaps, one follower accused the reality star of abandoning her toddler. They wrote: 'Poor Bonnie ditched again… I just wouldn't choose to leave my child over and over again thousands of miles away. A wee night away though absolutely!' But Laura wasted no time to hit back and replied: 'Over and over please explain,' with many of her fans rushing to defend her. They branded the critic a 'mum-shamer' as they praised Laura for taking some well deserved time for herself. Firing back once more, Laura commented: 'No one shames the dads.' However, the original commenter doubled down, saying: 'I will if it's a dad doing it. 'Shame on Bonnie's dad, shame on my dad, shame on any dad that treats their kids the way some do. Shame on any sex. 'And I didn't say shame on you. Just said you'd ditched the wee babe again. 'I ain't ringing the bells like a town crier, just saying bairns been left to someone else to look after while you jet off again!' Laura later clarified to fans that she had only been away for just four days and had many video calls with her daughter. The reality star went Instagram official with boyfriend Clark in October last year, sharing an array of loved-up snaps together. Laura hit back in the comments after being accused of 'ditching' her daughter for the holiday Laura later clarified to fans that she had only been away for just four days and had many video calls with her daughter Laura previously detailed the challenges she's faced raising Bonnie as a single parent after she and Gary split before she was born. The pair met during Celebs Go Dating in 2022, however, they split shortly before she announced her pregnancy in February 2023. She told The Mirror: 'I think it was hard to get my head around initially, it wasn't what I expected. But that's the cards I was dealt in the end. Of course, I'm going to make it work for my child, even more so. I feel like I'm a really good mum, to be honest.' Offering advice to other parents facing the same challenges, she added: 'Prioritise what you need to do, it's just me. I have to make it work. I am tired but of course, I'm going to be tired. I'm bringing up a human soul, that's what I signed up for. '[Bonnie's] great, your social life does take a little bit of a backseat but most people, your good friends understand that.'

I've dated Love Island hunks & soap stars – but the WAG life is a game changer, says Laura Anderson

LOVE Island star Laura Anderson has revealed she loves being a WAG – as she fancies her footballer boyfriend even more when he's on the pitch. The Scots influencer, 36, from Stirling, has been waiting to find her soulmate after finishing runner-up on the 2018 series of the hit dating series with Paul Knops. 6 6 6 She later split up with the reality star and dated Another Level's Dane Bowers, 45, and Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy - with whom she had daughter Bonnie - before meeting her Dundee defender beau Clark Robertson, 31. The ex-air hostess admits she used to hate watching football - but is now learning the rules so she can fawn over her fella. Laura said: 'I guess I'm a WAG now. I actually really like football. I didn't really like it before. To be honest, it just reminded me of my dad hogging the remote when we were young and I never got to watch what I wanted to watch. 'But now I like going to the games. I think he looks very sexy actually because he's quite bossy on the pitch and he's not like that day-to-day. He's such a relaxed, chilled out guy. 'So on the pitch he's always pointing and I'm like 'what the hell what's going on?'' Clark even reckons that Bonnie, who turns two in September, could be the next in line for soccer stardom. Laura added: 'Clark did say Bonnie's got a good left foot and she's actually really good at football already. 'I think I'm going to take credit for it because I started her out on the ball before I met Clark, but I think he might be trying to take credit that she's somehow following in his footsteps.' Single mum Laura, who split from Lucy during her pregnancy, quit her radio presenting gig on Capital Scotland's Breakfast Show in February. She walked away after less than a year due to suffering burnout from juggling super early rises for work while looking after Bonnie. Love Island's Laura Anderson gives tour of her HUGE new mansion with en-suite rooms and garden so big it could be a park The blonde bombshell would love to return to the airwaves one day - but until then she wants to fit everything around watching her daughter grow. Laura said: 'She is wild. It was her first day at nursery last week and I dropped her off and cried my eyes out. 'She's a sassy little thing but a mummy's girl at heart. There's so much to learn with being a mum and it's ever-changing as they grow. There's a new milestone each week. 'I need to keep up with her and meet those needs and I just want to do the best I can. There's definitely more pressure doing it alone as all the responsibility is on me. 'Sometimes I think that maybe if I wasn't doing it alone, I wouldn't be as good a mum. So I have to take it as a blessing because I do feel quite proud of myself that she's doing so well and she's so happy.' She added: 'I just fit my work around Bonnie now. There's jobs I have to knock back and I'd love to be going to London and going to these events all the time 'But it's just not worth it. I left Capital because I couldn't really be the energetic mum I wanted to be. I had to make a tough decision but I don't regret choosing my daughter over any work opportunities because they're only young once. 'I like doing brand deals and my Instagram and stuff like that because it is so flexible and I can work from home or anywhere else. 6 'I did actually love doing radio so it would be great if I could have a wee weekend show on Heart - as you get older you go from Capital to Heart apparently. 'Maybe even when Bonnie goes to school I could be back on. Right now it's just not working to get up at 4.30am five times a week.' One of the biggest changes in Laura's life since becoming a mum is the type of following she has. With 1.5million on Instagram alone, people love following her life and finding out what she's up to. Fellow mums often reach out to pay her lovely compliments and she admits it's a relief to be told she's doing a good job. She said: 'There's parts of being a mum that's relatable and I definitely feel it's a nice little community where other mums help me and then I help them back. 'You get a lot of comfort from realising you're not the only one going through things. I've had a lot of private messages from other mums telling me how much they love watching me and Bonnie and that they want to be friends with us. 'Like when I took Bonnie on holiday myself when she was young, you get other mums saying they never thought they could do it and that it helped them realise they could. 'It's little things like that that make me feel good as I see that it's the right decision for me to share if it's making someone else feel better.'

The Scottish TV personality has shed some light on her new life with toddler Bonnie and footballer boyfriend Clark Robertson. Scottish TV personality and former Love Islander Laura Anderson has taken to the red carpet tonight, Monday June 23, at the Daily Record's Pride of Scotland Awards. Now living a quiet life up north with her footballer boyfriend Clark Robertson, a centre-back for Dundee, the mum-of-one confessed that she was 'excited to have a night off from the baby', who she had with former partner Gary Lucy in November 2023. The Daily Record's annual Pride of Scotland Awards will honour the nation's unsung heroes - ordinary people quietly living extraordinary lives and making a difference in their communities. The awards take place tonight, complete with a star-studded ceremony hosted by Elaine C Smith and Sanjeev Kohli. ‌ Making up part of the celebrity guest list is ex Love Islander Laura Anderson, who lifted the lid on her newfound family life. Despite now living a quiet life away from the city with her boyfriend and baby Bonnie, the star was buzzing to be all dolled up in a gorgeous full-length yellow dress for the ceremony. ‌ Laura told the Record: "Do you know what, I'm so excited. "I'm so excited to have a night off from the baby - that sounds bad! "I'm so nosey and I'm excited to meet and see what's been going on in Scotland, all the heroes, what everyone's been up to making a difference this year." The star then opened up about her new home, where she and boyfriend Clark Robertson are living on the River Tay. Laura said: "I don't want to be smug but for once in my life I am!" However, living with her partner seems to be an adjustment for the star, as she teased about doing his washing. ‌ She said: "I'm cleaning dirty boxers- living with your boyfriend isn't as glamorous as it first may seem." The star then playfully joked that her footballer boyfriend was her 'second child'. But she then added: "My boyfriend's quite tidy, and we just have such a nice relaxing life, I've moved up north out of the city and we have a nice big garden. ‌ "Bonnie's having a great time, she starts nursery next week- I mean how did that happen? "I'm sure I'll start crying when I drop her off. "Life is good, but it's nice to come back here and just be all glam for the evening." The Pride of Scotland Awards will celebrate the bravery and achievement from Scots individuals, including Sir Chris Hoy, who will be awarded the first ever Scotland's Champion Award. MailOnline have contacted Gary Lucy's reps for comment. In January Laura looked back at the last year she said the past 12 months 'weren't easy' as she never imagined that she would become a single parent. She said that financially she wasn't supported with Bonnie and that she has been 'struggling everyday'. Laura did however include some positive highlights in her post including meeting her new footballer boyfriend Clark Robertson. Scottish TV star Laura took to her Instagram in July responding to a comment as she claimed Gar hadn't seen their daughter since early January. Responding to a troll who questioned whether Bonnie ever sees her father, Laura replied: 'Do you mean has her daddy seen her…. No he hasn't since 2nd January if you would like to direct those questions to him as I have no control over the actions of others x.' A representative for Gary declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline at the time. Then in September the actor, who also shares two sons and two daughters with ex-wife Natasha, broke his silence on the matter when a cruel troll commented on a sweet clip of Bonnie playing with her elder brother. 'When Theodore got to be the big Brother for the day …. If this doesn't melt your heart I don't know what will ,' he captioned. The post was flooded with touching comments, yet a negative one caught Gary's eye. 'Funny you keep posting videos but you never see her,' a person wrote - but the actor was quick to reply: 'Nope only you 'shaz' everyone else seemed to just enjoy a lovely video …. 'I'll block ya in a bit … then ya can set up a new email / insta profile so ya can keep a bitter twisted eye on my page.' He went on adding in another comment below: 'Course she does .. she's invested hours n hours on ppls 'instagram lives' that's gotta going for something right ….. oh wait.' One fan raced in his support, commenting: 'Sounds like the Gary police are out in force today, leave the man alone, if you don't like what he posts then don't look and unfollow, I'm sure he won't give a, its his profile, he can post what he likes. Rant over.' Earlier this month Laura hit back at trolls after suffering backlash for holidaying in the Maldives without her daughter. She jetted off with her boyfriend Clark and shared a series of sun-soaked snaps from her romantic getaway. While many gushed over the stunning snaps, one follower accused the reality star of abandoning her toddler. They wrote: 'Poor Bonnie ditched again… I just wouldn't choose to leave my child over and over again thousands of miles away. A wee night away though absolutely!' Laura wasted no time to hit back and replied: 'Over and over please explain,' with many of her fans rushing to defend her. They branded the critic a 'mum-shamer' as they praised Laura for taking some well deserved time for herself. Firing back once more, Laura commented: 'No one shames the dads.' Shame on any sex.

Laura Anderson cruelly holiday-shamed by trolls as she shows off luxury trip with boyfriend

LAURA Anderson has been cruelly holiday-shamed by trolls after showing off her luxury trip with boyfriend Clark Robertson. The former Love Island, 36, has kept fans up-to-date on her holiday to the Maldives with footballer Clark, 31. 3 3 3 Laura, who shares 21-month-old daughter Bonnie with ex Gary Lucy, shared a series of highligh snaps from the getaway - telling followers it was gifted to her. And some were quick to hit out at the TV star for being given the freebie. One wrote: "I don't understand society! "I mean, I get it I get why companies give free holidays like this to promote, but imagine if they allowed people who wouldn't normally experience these types of things and let them promote on social media. "Like underpaid nurses, doctors paramedics firemen and women the people that put out so much into society." But some pointed out that it's Laura's job as an influencer to promote companies. One said: "It's called a PR stay. It's her job, she has over 1.5 million followers she is able to promote this to. It's how she earns a living." Laura and Clark - who plays for Dundee - went public with their relationship in October last year. And she later revealed the surprise way they got together. Laura told The Sun: "It's not very romantic, he messaged me online and I saw it about three years later and replied and here we are. "I didn't make it public for a little bit, but we've been together for a little bit. "It's nice, it's chilled, no drama, just simple. A good Scottish boy, I can't complain."
