Japan's fastest bullet train can cover Delhi to Patna in just 2.5 Hours, know when it will run in India

The E10 Shinkansen, Japan's latest high-speed bullet train, will change rail travel in India. Ordered by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) for use on the Tohoku Shinkansen line, the E10 is an advanced version of Japan's existing bullet trains and is likely to make its debut in India by 2030.
India's Expanding Rail Network
India has one of the world's largest railway networks, is rapidly modernising with the introduction of high-speed trains powered by new technology. According to recent reports, the Mumbai–Ahmedabad bullet train corridor will initially use Japan's E5 model Shinkansen trains for trial runs.

The E10 Shinkansen is expected to be even more advanced than the E5. It is known as 'Alpha-X', the E10 is designed to cross speeds of up to 400 km/h so it can cover 1,000 km in just 2.5 hours.
Delhi To Patna In 2.5 Hours
For example, a trip from Delhi to Patna of a distance of around 1000 km can be covered in just 2.5 hours with the E10 Shinkansen. Similarly, the 508 km Mumbai–Ahmedabad route would take just over an hour.

According to media reports officials from the Indian Railways have confirmed that Shinkansen trains will be used in trial runs for India's first bullet train project. As part of the strategic partnership between India and Japan, the Japanese government has approved the introduction of E10 Shinkansen trains on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor.
The rollout of these ultra-modern trains marks a major leap forward for India's transport infrastructure, promising faster travel times, greater efficiency, and a world-class passenger experience.

ONGC, BP, RIL sign joint operating agreement for Saurashtra basin block
New Delhi: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation ( ONGC ), in partnership with BP Exploration (Alpha), and Reliance Industries (RIL), signed a joint operating agreement for offshore exploration of Block GS-OSHP-2022/2, awarded under the Open Acreage Licensing Policy (OALP) Bid Round-IX. According to the official press release, the block, located off the western coast in the Saurashtra Basin , spans an area of about 5,454 square kilometres and is classified under category-II basins. The consortium, with ONGC designated as the operator, is set to undertake exploratory activities aimed at assessing and harnessing the hydrocarbon potential of the region. The signing ceremony was attended by Manoj Kumar, Director - Finance, BP Exploration (Alpha), and Avinash Kumar Pathak, Senior Vice-President, RIL, including Arunangshu Sarkar, Director - Strategy & Corporate Affairs, ONGC, Om Prakash Sinha, Director - Exploration, ONGC.

Kinetic Engineering has officially reintroduced the DX nameplate with the launch of an all-new electric scooter. The Kinetic DX, available in two variants: DX and DX+, marks the brand's latest offering in the EV segment. Here are five essential details about the newly launched scooter: 1. Price and Availability The Kinetic DX is priced between ₹ 1.12 lakh and ₹ 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the scooter opened on 28 July with a token amount of ₹ 1,000. The company has capped deliveries at 40,000 units, which are set to begin from October 2025. 2. Return of a Familiar Nameplate The DX moniker, which originally referred to a petrol-powered scooter built between 1984 and 2007, has been revived in a modern, all-electric form. The earlier DX was developed through a joint venture between Kinetic Engineering and Honda Motor Company, based on the Honda NH Series. This new electric version is a departure from its two-stroke predecessor, featuring contemporary battery technology and digital enhancements. 3. Design and Storage Styled in collaboration with Italian designers, the new DX retains several design cues from the original, including a full-metal body and wide floorboard. A notable inclusion is the 37-litre under-seat storage compartment, which accommodates both a full-face and a half-face helmet.
