Days of Our Lives June 25: If Johnny Didn't Shoot EJ, Who Did?
Johnny (Carson Boatman) told Roman (Josh Taylor) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) that his anger had him seeing red, and parts of the night someone shot EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) were hazy to him. He knows he took the gun from Roman's lockbox and headed to the DiMera mansion. He remembered seeing his dad and being so angry, and pointing the gun at him. And then EJ turned around and asked him what he was doing.
He said he never meant to hurt me. And that he didn't mmean for me to have to pay for all the horrible mistkaes that he made. But that the damage was already done. So all that was left was for him to stop me from making the same mistakes that he did.
EJ then asked Johnny to give him the gun, and he did. And yet somehow, that gun — Roman's gun — ended up in the planter outside the mansion. So, someone else came in and used that gun to shoot EJ because one bullet is missing, according to Roman.
Those were profound and self-aware words from EJ. Yet, ever since that night, Johnny has directed an explosive anger at his dad. He's only now coming out of it, and that must be why he's finally able to tell his story.

So, who do we direct our suspicions at now? The show has run through a million different potential culprits. Johnny seemed like too obvious a choice, and we're happy that he wasn't able to pull the trigger. After all, we need Johnny and Chanel (Raven Bowens) to be a happy couple for a while.
Maybe we take a look at young Rachel (Alice Halsey), who's clearly suffering in the wake of so many things going wrong in her life. Her stomach issues may indicate a bigger problem. This could be a physical manifestation of a psychological MOAS — Mother Of All Secrets.
That Rachel was the one to shoot EJ. It feels like she's one of the only suspects left. That or somehow Adult Rachel (Roslyn Gentle) or Arnold (Galen Gering) somehow did it.
Whoever shot EJ, can we all band together and pray that they wrap this mystery up sooner rather than later?

LOVED Brady (Eric Martsolf) bringing up going to a Cubs game with Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) when he gets out of the hospital. Loved even more how Philip specified wanting to go to a Chicago Cubs / St. Louis Cardinals game. While this DAYS episode was filmed eight to ten months ago during the 2024 baseball season, what a coincidence that on the day this episode aired, the Cubs are in the midst of a four-game series with the Cardinals in St. Louis.

It's kind of crazy that Xander (Paul Telfer) wouldn't be happy with a co-parenting situation with Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). Why he thinks he should have full custody of Victoria is unbelievable. Does he equate Sarah lying to him with everything that he's done?
Please do not let this be a Brady/Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) situation where the judge didn't take any of Kristen's past crimes into consideration, and she got full custody of Rachel. Because everybody knows what Xander's done to Sarah and many others in town. That's the only way other than bribery that Xander could get full custody.

Chicago Air and Water Show sent the Cubs' dugout scrambling
Airplane fly-bys are a quintessential part of American sports and have been a common pregame tradition for decades. It's just that, typically, those fly-bys don't happen in the middle of the game. Players for the Chicago Cubs certainly weren't expecting it during Friday's loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates, but the Chicago Air and Water Show had other plans. With planes practicing during the day ahead of the show, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, one of them gave the entire Cubs dugout quite a scare as players found themselves running for cover at the sound of the unknown threat. It also led to an incredible broadcasting moment as it occurred during an ad read for Motorola, leading to one of the funniest sponsored line reads you will ever hear. While the Cubs players were certainly startled, it didn't give them the energy boost they needed to emerge victorious as they lost 3-2 to the struggling Pirates. But hey, at the very least, Motorola is probably pleased with the engagement. This article originally appeared on For The Win: Cubs' dugout startled by Chicago Air and Water Show
