Days of Our Lives June 25: If Johnny Didn't Shoot EJ, Who Did?
Sigh. Here we are, still not knowing who shot EJ. In the Wednesday, June 25 episode of Days of Our Lives, Johnny finally told his story.
Johnny (Carson Boatman) told Roman (Josh Taylor) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) that his anger had him seeing red, and parts of the night someone shot EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) were hazy to him. He knows he took the gun from Roman's lockbox and headed to the DiMera mansion. He remembered seeing his dad and being so angry, and pointing the gun at him. And then EJ turned around and asked him what he was doing.
He said he never meant to hurt me. And that he didn't mmean for me to have to pay for all the horrible mistkaes that he made. But that the damage was already done. So all that was left was for him to stop me from making the same mistakes that he did.
EJ then asked Johnny to give him the gun, and he did. And yet somehow, that gun — Roman's gun — ended up in the planter outside the mansion. So, someone else came in and used that gun to shoot EJ because one bullet is missing, according to Roman.
Those were profound and self-aware words from EJ. Yet, ever since that night, Johnny has directed an explosive anger at his dad. He's only now coming out of it, and that must be why he's finally able to tell his story.

So, who do we direct our suspicions at now? The show has run through a million different potential culprits. Johnny seemed like too obvious a choice, and we're happy that he wasn't able to pull the trigger. After all, we need Johnny and Chanel (Raven Bowens) to be a happy couple for a while.
Maybe we take a look at young Rachel (Alice Halsey), who's clearly suffering in the wake of so many things going wrong in her life. Her stomach issues may indicate a bigger problem. This could be a physical manifestation of a psychological MOAS — Mother Of All Secrets.
That Rachel was the one to shoot EJ. It feels like she's one of the only suspects left. That or somehow Adult Rachel (Roslyn Gentle) or Arnold (Galen Gering) somehow did it.
Whoever shot EJ, can we all band together and pray that they wrap this mystery up sooner rather than later?

LOVED Brady (Eric Martsolf) bringing up going to a Cubs game with Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) when he gets out of the hospital. Loved even more how Philip specified wanting to go to a Chicago Cubs / St. Louis Cardinals game. While this DAYS episode was filmed eight to ten months ago during the 2024 baseball season, what a coincidence that on the day this episode aired, the Cubs are in the midst of a four-game series with the Cardinals in St. Louis.

It's kind of crazy that Xander (Paul Telfer) wouldn't be happy with a co-parenting situation with Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). Why he thinks he should have full custody of Victoria is unbelievable. Does he equate Sarah lying to him with everything that he's done?
Please do not let this be a Brady/Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) situation where the judge didn't take any of Kristen's past crimes into consideration, and she got full custody of Rachel. Because everybody knows what Xander's done to Sarah and many others in town. That's the only way other than bribery that Xander could get full custody.

'Days of Our Lives' Casts 'The Young and the Restless' Conner Floyd as Chad: When Does He Debut?
'Days of Our Lives' Casts 'The Young and the Restless' Conner Floyd as Chad: When Does He Debut? originally appeared on Parade. Days of Our Lives found its new Chad following Billy Flynn's exit from the show. In a surprising turn of events, The Young and the Restless hunk Conner Floyd has been cast in the role. Flynn left Days of Our Lives in March after accepting a job on The Young and the Restless. Now, Floyd's leaving Y&R to play Flynn's old character on the hit Peacock broke the news, revealing Floyd wrapped his run on The Young and the Restless as Chance, just as his Y&R co-star Melissa Ordway (Abby) promoted Abby and Chance joining the rest of the gang in France for the big Aristotle Dumas, aka Cane Ashby, reveal. The turnaround is quick as Floyd begins filming for the hit Peacock soap today. The official Instagram account for Days of Our Lives teased a photo of him in front of his dressing room while revealing when fans will be able to see him on screen. 'Save the Date: April 2026 💙⏳#DOOL #days #daysofourlives #connerfloyd,' read the caption on the Instagram post. The good news is that Chad won't be off-screen the whole time. Due to the Peacock soaps' advanced filming schedule, Flynn will still be on-screen playing Chad until January 2026. That means Chad will be MIA for a couple of months before Floyd begins in the role. The Young and the Restless has yet to reveal Floyd's last air date or whether the character will be recast. Considering Chance has been on the back burner for months, the character likely won't be recast and will probably disappear into a soap opera abyss. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on Peacock, while The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. What Happened to Cane on 'The Young and the Restless'?
What Happened to Cane on 'The Young and the Restless'? originally appeared on Parade. The Young and the Restless just revealed Cane Ashby is back in the mix, and he's the infamous Aristotle Dumas. However, Lily's (Christel Khalil) ex-husband has a whole new look this time around. Daniel Goddard created the role of Cane in 2007. In 2019, the actor was let go from the CBS soap after Daniel and Lily finalized their divorce spring, Goddard got the rumor mill buzzing that he was returning to Y&R, but that was not the case. Goodard joinedGeneral Hospital in the mystery role of Henry Dalton. In what was probably one of the worst-kept secrets in the soap world, Days of Our Lives star Billy Flynn has taken over the role of Cane. News broke in March that Flynn had wrapped his run on Days of Our Lives and had joined The Young and the Restless. After the not-so-big reveal, Flynn spoke with TV Insider about this new version of Cane. 'What Daniel did was amazing — he was great as Cane — and obviously, the relationship that Cane and Lily had is a testament to their work. Cane is a fascinating character. Essentially, we're going to rebrand it a bit, so they have a closer age range, and I don't have a sexy accent. I can't replicate it, so I'm going to do my thing. When people see this Cane and the relationship that I have as Cane with Lily, I think they'll be happy,' he spilled. One thing that won't change is the fact that Lily has always been the great love of Cane's life. From what we have seen, Flynn and Khalil appear to have great chemistry, which is a plus for fans accepting a new actor in a role. Cane Ashby is back on The Young and the Restless with a new look, a new vibe, and a new alias. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. What Happened to Cane on 'The Young and the Restless'? first appeared on Parade on Jun 20, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 20, 2025, where it first appeared.
