Debenhams slashes 23 carat gold watch that 'oozes class' down to £96
Shoppers have said they have had many comments from others after purchasing the watch.
With Father's Day less than a month away, it may be time to start thinking of what to give your relatives this year. While some may feel like men are harder to buy for, one present that usually goes down well is a striking watch.
Thankfully, Debenhams have plenty of timepieces in their sale, with thousands of them receiving discounts over 70 per cent. With hundreds of pounds to be saved, it may be worthwhile having a browse of the website.
One standout accessory we found in the sale was the Henry Jay 23K Gold Plated Watch. Normally retailing for £670, shoppers will save over £570 on their purchase as the major online retailer has slashed a whopping 86 per cent off the price tag.
Now only £96, this Henry Jay watch is perfect for everyday wear, as well as being shown off at a formal event. Powered by a precise Miyota Quartz movement, the timepiece features a 40mm round case that is covered in a crystal mineral protector for extra durability.
With luminous hands and hour markers, the dial is also equipped with a date function. The dive watch also has a water resistance of 100 metres - ensuring it can be used in a variety of water activities, including swimming and diving.
What makes this timepiece stand out is its 23 carat gold plated two-tone stainless steel bracelet. This gold and silver bracelet, which features a fold over clasp for extra security, can be complemented with either a striking blue or green dial.

Product Description
Another watch in the Debenhams sale is the Henry Jay Quartz Chronograph Watch, which usually retails for £870. Now only £116 after a whopping 87 per cent discount, this watch is available with either a black, green or blue dial to meet the preferences of the shopper.
Alternatively, H. Samuel is reduced the price of the Lorus Men's 43mm Blue Chronograph Watch. Normally retailing for £114.99, shoppers can now snatch up this watch for the bargain price of £57 - giving shoppers a 50 per cent discount.
While the Henry Jay watch currently doesn't have any reviews on the Debenhams website, many Amazon shoppers have praised the timepiece for its quality and "premium" feel, while also awarding it a 4.1 star rating.
One happy shopper said: "I had bought a different make of watch which I was not satisfied with. This was the birthday replacement and is quite tremendous. It feels good on the wrist, solid but not too chunky, seems to be totally waterproof (I've only had it for 3 months but haven't removed it) and is a great price. Thank you."
Another customer also wrote: "Very nice watch I've had it about 10 months and everyone always comments on it. Saying 'that's a nice watch' and 'I bet that set you back a few quid' .It's still working perfectly I've been swimming in it a few times to I don't wear it everyday as I have a lot of watches in my collection but so far so good."
However, one reviewer noted an issue with the luminous hands and markers: "The watch looks great. It's chunky, has a bit of weight to it and looks perfectly with any outfit. The only disappointing thing is when I wake up in the night I can't see what time it is, as the arms and makers on the watch face don't stay illuminated for long. Otherwise great watch."
A further shopper also grumbled: "Looks very good, but the pin is not good and has broken twice so strap has come off and had to get it fixed."
Fashion deal of the week
Looking for a new wardrobe staple that will be comfortable all summer long?
The Next's Wide Leg Trousers with linen might be up your street. In fact, they are so popular with other shoppers who say they "can't wait" to wear them when the weather heats up.
Available in a selection of colours and prints, there is a pair for everyone. However, prices do range from as low as £22 to £49, but this does depend on the style that shoppers select.
Ideal for balmy days, these trousers have been designed in a looser fit than usual and have been crafted from a soft material with added linen. Boasting the on-trend wide-leg design, it's no wonder shoppers are calling them "very comfortable" to wear.
They also feature an elasticated waistband that won't dig into the stomach, while two practical side pockets finish the design. A hit for summer, these linen trousers can be paired with flip-flops, loose fitting tops and even swimwear when by the beach.
Available in both petite and regular, they can be bought in sizes eight through to 20. Just a few options shoppers can choose from include a basic black, red and chocolate brown, while vibrant patterns of palm trees and florals are also included.
Multiple colours of the Next trousers boast glowing reviews, as one reads: "Lovely flowing cut, very flattering. Can't wait to wear these when the weather is better!"
A second shopper praised: "Great fit. Very flattering. Can be dressed up or down for day or night wear."
Next's Wide Leg Trousers with Linen range from £22 to £49 and can be bought here.
Despite this, another customer happily gave the watch as a gift: "Bought as a 75th Birthday present for my Dad. What an amazing piece of kit. He was over the moon with it, and once I removed 2 links (the kit is available on Amazon) it fitted him like a glove. It looks incredible on him and oozes class and Quality. Amazing value for a watch that looks very expensive."
With another five-star reviewer adding: "I was very wary and worried buying this product as the brand isn't too popular in Ireland but to what I discovered it is very popular in the US.
"The watch is amazing quality and I trust the build quality of the strap. This is a very classy and premium watch and would recommend anybody to buy to add to a collection."

Clock is ticking to grab £60 off Ninja Doublestack XL Air Fryer in limited-time deal An air fryer has become a household essential, and now shoppers can snap one up for less This massive air fryer makes cooking healthy meals a breeze (Image: Amazon ) Air fryers have quickly become an essential for every household. They are known to make cooking healthy meals easier, quicker and efficient for everyone as they cut cooking time back hugely. However, it can be expensive to invest in a good quality one and shoppers often find themselves doing without. Now, they are in luck as they can snag the NInja Double Stack XL Air Fryer for £209.01 down from £269.99 on Amazon. The Ninja airfryer is said to be 30% slimmer than the AF400, helping save space on shoppers counters. Despite the smaller footprint, it has an extra-large 9.5L capacity - enough to cook for up to eight people - and can cook up to 55% faster than a fan oven (tested on fish fingers and sausages). READ MORE: Save £300 on 'fantastic' rattan garden corner sofa and footstool READ MORE: Amazon shoppers hail game-changing portable Ninja blender as 'best little blender ever' It features two drawers and two meal racks, giving shoppers four cooking levels. Rear-positioned fans also help ensure even cooking and crisping across all levels and the unit is said to use up to 55% less energy than a traditional oven - based on sausage cooking tests using the air fry function. With the air fryer comes six cooking modes - max crisp, air fry, roast, bake, reheat and dehydrate. It includes two 4.75L drawers, two non-stick crisper plates and two racks. All parts are completely dishwasher safe and it comes with a 2-year guarantee when registered. For other options of air fryers, shoppers could also try the Breville VDF131 Halo XL 9L Air Fryer in Silver for £90 which uses 360 degree air circulation and 99.5% less oil than standard 3L Breville fryers, is said to be ideal for family meals as it offers 65% more cooking capacity, and has six pre-set options. Another choice is the PHILIPS 3000 Series NA352/OO 9L Dual Basket Air Fryer for £129.99 from Currys. This fryer has a 9L capacity, eight preset functions, non-slip feet, dual baskets and two independent cooking zones. Shoppers can cook all sorts of foods at once in this air fryer (Image: Amazon ) Shoppers have rated the Ninja air fryer a high 4.7 out of 5 stars, however, from a total of 2,010 on Amazon. One shopper said: 'I love air fryers and I really love this one, it takes up less room than my last one. Yes it's a big investment but it's so versatile, well made and you have the security of having a well known and established quality brand. You can cook almost anything in it, it's easy to clean, saves a fortune by not using the oven, and the energy efficiency is great. Controls are easy to navigate. The top drawer tends to cook quicker than the bottom drawer which is fine. I would highly recommend this to anyone, small families, large families, absolutely great products.' Another wrote: 'This thing has absolutely no business being this good. It's like having a tiny kitchen wizard on your counter who somehow knows how to make chips better than you ever could. The 9.5L size is a game-changer — you can actually cook for real people, not just two sad potato wedges at a time.' 'I have cooked roast potatoes for a roast, perfect. Chips are crispy and not dried out or hard. Fish cooked well as well as chicken items. Can't wait to try everything else, possibilities are endless,' said another buyer. Some did share opposing opinions, as one shopper said: 'This is not the best. In fact I'm really disappointed with it. This is the second ninja we have purchased the first was brilliant couldn't fault it but this takes twice as long to cook anything.' Article continues below 'I am disappointed with my purchase, it has not functioned correctly for some time now,' said another. However, for £60 off a great quality option, the Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer could be a perfect buy.
