Report – Inter Milan Pursuit Of France Midfielder Handed Boost As Roma Need To Raise €100M In Capital Gains

Inter Milan could still end up signing Manu Kone from Roma despite the capital club's initial rejection. According to Il Romanista via FCInterNews, the Giallorossi must raise an eye-watering €100 million in capital gains. Cristian Chivu's men have earmarked Manu Kone as an ideal midfield reinforcement after failing to sign Ademola Lookman. Indeed, the San Siro giants have changed their transfer strategy after withdrawing from talks with Atalanta. Therefore, the French star has quickly become the club's new primary objective. Indeed, Gian Piero Gasperini's charges must raise €100 million in capital gains to comply with the settlement agreement reached with UEFA. Furthermore, time is running out as they have until July 2026 to find the money. Worryingly, only a handful of players can help Roma hit this figure, and Kone is one of them. As such, they may change their mind going into the transfer window finale.

The signing of Leon Bailey could even be favourable to Roma, given that the Aston Villa loanee is a close friend of Sancho. Report – Inter Milan Have €90m Budget To Strengthen Midfield: Six Candidates Revealed

Serie A runners-up Inter Milan are desperate to add to their midfield options down the final stretch of the transfer window. According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, they boast a substantial €90 million budget for a top-class midfielder. Furthermore, Cristian Chivu's charges have already drawn a six-player shortlist, featuring Manu Kone as the most notable name. However, Roma are reluctant to sell the Frenchman, who enjoyed an impressive first season in Serie A last year. Therefore, the San Siro giants have identified five more targets. (Photo by) Atalanta star Ederson has been on Inter's radar since the beginning of the summer. Yet, like in the case of Ademola Lookman, La Dea will not let the Brazilian go unless they receive a mammoth offer. With that in mind, Inter have devised a contingency plan in the form of Parma's Mandela Keita. However, he is only a 'Plan B.' Meanwhile, Chivu's men are monitoring three players outside Italy. Benfica's Florentino, Brighton's Matt O'Riley, and Rennes' Djaoui Cisse are the remaining options.
