Hen parties tend to be raucous affairs but Eurythmics star Annie Lennox 's daughter Lola is bucking the trend.
Lola, 34, who is due to marry Canadian musician Braeden Wright, 36, instead held what she described as a 'wholesome' party at The Wolseley in Mayfair.
The bride-to-be, who's a singer like her mother, wore a cream sequinned dress and bridal veil in photos that she posted online.
'A wholesome party! We swapped heartfelt and ridiculous stories, and I left on cloud 9 from all of the kinds worlds of affirmation, said Lola, whose father is Annie's ex-husband, Uri Fruchtmann.
She signed off her carousel of images with: 'Next stop…the wedding!'
Raised in London with her sister, model and artist Tali, Lola splits her time between London and Los Angeles.
Lola looked elegant as she posed in front of rose gold 'Bride To Be' balloons in the glittering gown, teamed with chunky white heels.
She also shared a group picture with all of the attendees who wore brightly coloured funky sunglasses.
The swanky room was decorated with an array of balloons and party favours, including a balloon with a picture of Lola and her husband, as well as masks of Braeden on a stick.
Lola announced the pair's engagement as the 'best moment of her life' back in July 2023.
Her fiancé took a selfie showing off her sparkler as she said: 'He pulled off the best proposal I could have ever imagined.'
In 2023, Lola released her debut EP, titled Dreamer, alongside a single of the same name, accompanied by a sultry photoshoot.
The single was executively produced by her Grammy Award winning mom, as well as Braeden. The EP features five songs, all written and performed by Lola.
Lola said of her EP in a press statement: 'I called this EP Dreamer because I wouldn't be who I am today without dreaming. Being a dreamer showed me my heart's desire and gave my life vision and purpose.'
'The word perfectly encapsulates every song on the EP because they were created from the seed of a dream, from a wistful moment where I lose track of the literal world and connect to something transcendent.'
She went on, 'I am very excited to share this body of work, each song captures a moment in my life, and together they portray a story of me, a broader sense of my experiences and reactions.'
'Making the music on this EP has been some of the best times of my life, it has been so rewarding to see my ideas come to life, to be challenged and to grow, and finally, to share my work with others.'
The lead single, Dreamer, follows the release of Lola's previous singles Back At Wrong, La La Love Me, Wherever You Go, Love Like That and Want More.
Lola started playing piano at the age of seven, and eventually earned a place at The Royal Academy of Music as a soprano.
She's listed a wide range of musical influences, including Nina Simone, Dusty Springfield, Etta James, Florence & The Machine and Lana Del Rey.

Nick Knowles, 62, and his fiancée Katie Dadzie, 34, arrive at their wedding venue ahead of their 'lavish six-figure Essex nuptials' this weekend

Nick Knowles and his fiancée Katie Dadzie were spotted arriving at their wedding venue on Friday. The lingerie brand boss, 34, and DIY SOS star, 62, began dating in 2021 after they met when their children became friends at a play centre and got engaged in 2023. Katie confirmed the countdown was 'on' until their big day in an Instagram post last Friday, and it has been claimed that the couple are due to tie the knot this weekend in a lavish six-figure ceremony in Essex. Ahead of the nuptials, Nick was seen wheeling two suitcases as he arrived at the venue, before greeting friends and family. He cut a smart-casual figure in a brown zip-up polo top and beige trousers, paired with casual white trainers. Katie arrived a few hours later with her close friends, looking effortlessly chic in a skin-tight black bodysuit and light-blue skinny jeans that showcased her enviable figure. She added height with black stiletto heels and carried her essentials in a Louis Vuitton handbag. The bride-to-be wore her brunette tresses in a curly blowout and opted for minimal makeup to highlight her natural beauty. Katie looked more loved-up than ever as she greeted her husband-to-be and took in her first glimpse of the wedding venue. The couple shared a sweet hug and kiss as they prepared for the fun-filled weekend ahead. According to The Sun, Nick and Katie will exchange vows at high-end wedding venue Braxted Park in Essex - where Rylan Clark married his ex-husband Dan Neal in 2015. The couple are said to have spared no expense on their special day, which will be attended by a whole host of celebrity guests, including Nick's Strictly co-stars. A source told the publication: 'He's invited all of his famous pals, including his Strictly co-stars so it's going to be a proper showbiz bash. He cut a smart-casual figure in a brown zip-up polo top and beige trousers, paired with casual white trainers 'Katie's dress is beautiful and is going to blow people away.' Nick starred on Strictly Come Dancing last year alongside the likes of Sarah Hadland, JB Gill, Love Island's Tasha Ghouri and Pete Wicks, though it was Chris McCausland who ultimately took home the glitterball. MailOnline contacted Nick's representatives for comment at the time. Katie kicked off the wedding celebrations earlier this month at her hen party, where she was joined by close friends Kirsty Shaw-Rayner and Sherene Fuller. The group arrived on a beer bus and then headed through party district Soho wearing Nick Knowles face masks, much to the amusement of Katie, ahead of partying at luxury boutique hotel Karma Sanctum. Katie was later entertained by two buff men dressed as a fireman and policeman as the party carried on into the early hours. Katie and the TV star have been subject to cruel trolling during their relationship, with critics mocking their age difference and financial setup. Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, about the 'gold digger' jibes, Katie admitted they don't get to her as much as they used to because she and Nick know it's not true. According to The Sun , Nick and Katie will exchange vows at high-end wedding venue Braxted Park in Essex - where Rylan Clark married his ex-husband Dan Neal in 2015 She said: 'I think at the start, it was probably more irritating, especially for my family. But now those comments kind of just pass over me because we both know it's not true. 'Nick works hard, he has what he has. I work hard, I have what I have and then we buy each other stuff.' Katie continued: 'We're both really comfortable with where we are with that and you will always get it because there's an age gap. 'I know plenty of people who are together and the same age where someone's using the other one for money and they're not happy. 'So as long as I know it's not true and he knows it's not true, I think that's, that's pretty much all that matters.' Nick has an estimated £7.5million net worth but Katie has built up an impressive lingerie brand, having launched Boa Boa in 2022. She has proved to be her own best advert for the brand, modelling the skimpy looks to her 102,000 Instagram followers.

Davina McCall, 57, shares major health update with fans just weeks after receiving all clear from brain tumour

has issued a major health update just months after having surgery on her brain - and receiving the all clear. The legendary TV presenter, 57, went live on Instagram on Thursday night with her hairdresser husband Michael Douglas - who lovingly styled her hair for their 'rave date night' in London. During the Instagram Live, Davina - who was diagnosed with a colloid cyst, a rare type of benign brain tumour in November and underwent a six-hour operation - shared a huge update on her post-surgery journey. She explained to fans: 'I am feeling much, much, much better. I am nearly ready to drive, which is a big indicator of how I'm feeling.' Davina shared how she's waiting for an update from the doctors and DVLA before she can get in the driver's seat again. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The TV star was all smiles as Michael blow-dried her hair, with Davina giving him compliments throughout the video. The loved-up couple - who have been together since - were asked how long they've known each other for. 'We have known each other since 2000,' Davina said. Michael chipped in: 'I did Davina's hair for a hair commercial. She took my number,' as Davina added: 'Yeah I did.' Her husband continued: 'And we became friends.' She went on to say that they reconnected when she started to host Big Brother, with Michael often doing her hair for the show. Michael said they were heading to Ibiza this weekend on a romantic getaway, which the pair seemed excited for. Last month, discussing her recent health battle, Davina explained to Women's Health: 'When I got this brain tumour I said to [my partner] Michael, "If I make it, this will be the greatest thing that's ever happened to me."' She went on to say that they reconnected when she started to host Big Brother, with Michael often doing her hair for the show She continued: 'Because of the learnings, yes – and because of the places I've had to go to deal with it...I'm sort of going through a slightly mind-blowing phase of my life where I'm just asking questions about everything. 'I keep thinking: I've survived this thing, but I don't know how that happened or why it happened. 'The whole start back into life again after the operation was amazing – mega. And [in the midst of] that feeling of anxiety and institutionalisation – of your house being the only safe place, of forgetting how to function in a normal way – everything felt like a massive win.' Davina went on: 'I want to say a massive thank you to everybody that looked after me so well. A special heartfelt thank you from both of us to Kevin for being such an absolute legend.'

Ulrika Jonsson admits 'crippling anxiety, fears and self-loathing' led her to alcohol as she marks one year of sobriety

has opened up about her journey to sobriety in a powerful open letter, revealing that she has now been alcohol-free for over a year and it has transformed her life in ways she never imagined. The TV presenter, 57, made the shocking admission that 'I can't do this any more,' was the life-saving message she sent to a friend on June 5 last year - a moment she now credits with rescuing her from the depths of addiction. She wrote in The Sun: 'It was a hangover day, much like any other, really. I sat on the sofa with my liver and brain pickled in equal measure, wrapped up in the blanket of shame, and something made me reach out for help.' The star, described herself as a 'binge drinker who drank to black out,' and detailed how her addiction crept in slowly. Although she didn't drink daily, lose her job, children, or end up in prison or get arrested, the toll it took was significant. The TV presenter, 57, made the shocking admission that 'I can't do this any more,' was the life-saving message she sent to a friend on June 5 last year - a moment she now credits with rescuing her from the depths of addiction Ulrika admitted to drinking for the wrong reasons - to numb her 'crippling anxiety, to escape, to disappear and extinguish my self-loathing'. She also spoke openly about the shame and secrecy that surrounded her behaviour. From drinking neat rum in a cupboard at 11am to waking up with no memory of the night before, she revealed that her drinking quickly spiralled out of control, but remained hidden behind a polished exterior. Despite having a 'quite unremarkable' drinking history on paper, Ulrika revealed the emotional damage was profound. 'Alcoholics come in all shapes and sizes and many live among us in plain sight,' she wrote, adding that her family history made her vulnerable. 'I wasn't cut out for life,' she confessed, recalling how alcohol became her coping mechanism. 'I wanted the full anaesthetic effect… I just wanted the feelings to stop.' Since giving up alcohol, Ulrika says she has learned more about herself in the past year than in the previous five decades and added how she has had a 'spiritual awakening' and found an 'inner peace'. While family and friends have celebrated the milestone, with her daughter even offering to take her out for a meal, Ulrika admitted the lead-up to her one-year anniversary was filled with anxiety. She now lives one day at a time and accepts that recovery is a lifelong journey. It comes after Ulrika marked one year sober, sharing an emotional Instagram post about the milestone on Thursday. The TV star shared before and after photos, captioned 'sober' and 'drunk' as she told her 204k followers that 'the journey goes on.' 'Today I'm marking 1yr of sobriety,' Ulrika wrote. 'No fanfare, no medal, no trophy. The journey goes on. 'A huge thanks to all those beautiful people who have supported me; understood me; scooped me up and handled me tenderly and without judgement; who nudged me in the right direction; who made me laugh and helped me shed the crippling shame.' She paid tribute to her four children Cameron, 30, Bo, 25, Martha, 20, and Malcolm, 16, and apologised for the concern she has caused them over the years: 'Thank you to my kids for their support; for having faith in me after I must have worried them so.' 'For close friends for their patience and belief. My sobriety will continue to be my priority. Turns out it IS possible to teach old dogs new tricks. Alongside the before and after snaps, Ulrika shared a childhood photo of herself as well a poignant reminder of 'this day last year'. In December Ulrika marked her six months sober milestone, as she credited her loved ones for helping her get this far. In her post, the former Gladiators star shared a picture of herself presently as well as an older snap of herself 'under the influence of alcohol', which she admitted that she previously 'couldn't bear' to look at. 'A huge thanks to all those beautiful people who have supported me; understood me; scooped me up and handled me tenderly and without judgement, she captioned the post Alongside the before and after snaps, Ulrika shared a childhood photo of herself as well a poignant reminder of 'this day last year' Detailing her road to sobriety, Ulrika penned: 'Today I am 6 months sober. On the 5th June 2024, I had the gift of desperation and reached out for help. I no longer recognised myself and I surrendered. Referring to the image where she was 'drunk', Ulrika added: 'Pic. 2: is of me in the midst of the madness. Another drunk moment. At first I couldn't bear to look back at pictures of myself under the influence of alcohol. The cloak of shame was too heavy a burden. 'But now I look at those images and feel pity and sympathy for that girl - she desperately needed to be scooped up; held tightly and helped. Not shamed or judged. She was quite, quite broken and had no idea there was another way.' Concluding her post, she shared: 'There is so much more to say - and I will say it in time. I'm still very much at the beginning of my journey but my life has changed in a beautiful way. It's a spiritual thing. One day at a time….
