Seán Boyd to miss Shelbourne's Europa League tie against Rijeka
Boyd started the first-leg in Rijeka last week but the 27-year-old had to be replaced by John Martin after 19 minutes. Martin scored the winner in a famous 2-1 result that means Shelbourne only need a draw at Tolka Park to secure group stage football.
'Kick in the calf [in Croatia] that swelled up,' confirmed Joey O'Brien, the Shelbourne manager. 'Strange one. He is finding it hard to walk and with the quick turnaround he won't be available.
'He started the game really well last week. John Martin came on and done really well. I keep going back to the strength of the squad. That was an example of it.'

Martin scored a second header in as many days to secure a 2-2 draw with Bohemians at Tolka Park on Saturday.
Progress from the Europa League third qualifying round, to face the winners of POAK (Greece) or Wolfsberger (Austria) in a play-off would guarantee O'Brien's team group stage football this season as they will be redirected to the Uefa Conference League if they lose the Europa play-off.
If Rijeka reverse the 2-1 deficit at Tolka, Shels will face the winners of Linfield (Northern Ireland) and Vikingur in a two-legged Conference League play-off on August 21st and 28th.
Progress to the Europea League proper would earn the League of Ireland champions at least €4.31 million in prize money. That figure drops to €3.17 million for reaching the Conference League.

Mason Mount says Manchester United are using critics and doubters to fuel their bid to hit the ground running and put things right after a season to forget. All eyes will be on Old Trafford this Sunday as the rebuilding Red Devils welcome Arsenal in the most eye-catching Premier League clash of the opening weekend. United came 15th last term – their worst top-flight finish in 51 years – and lost the Europa League final to put the lid on a miserable and financially-damaging campaign. Mount knows the team "need to repay" United's fans, who appear to be heading into Sunday's game with a sense of optimism following a positive summer and some impressive recruits. United have been boosted ahead of the opener by last weekend's arrival of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko in a deal worth up to £73.7m. Whether the 22-year-old is ready to start against Arsenal remains to be seen, but he adds energy, and goals, along with fellow big-name summer arrivals Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. "I think for us it's so important to start well, to start quick, to start with that intensity," Mount said. "We're a team that definitely can push with that and win games with that intensity and the way we want to press, the way we want to move the ball and dominate the ball, and create chances. "That's the way the manager wants to play, so it's exciting for us to see what we're doing in training and put that into the games. "I think to start with that game (against Arsenal) is going to be massive for us, to start on the front foot and really push forward."

Sky expecting to hold off Netflix for exclusive US Open golf coverage
Sky Sports is in advanced talks over signing a new six-year deal for exclusive live rights for the US Open. Sky's current contract expires after next year's Championship at Shinnecock Hills and it is expecting to beat off competition from other broadcasters, including Netflix, to secure an extension. The new deal will cement Sky's position as the home of televised golf in Ireland and the UK, as it currently has the rights for all the men's and women's majors, the Ryder Cup , PGA Tour and DP World Tour. The PGA Tour deal also expires next year, and Sky is expected to seek an extension. Sources involved in the tender process said Netflix also made a credible offer, which reflects its growing interest in securing sports content. "I recently tried some curl cream, and that seemed to calm it down a bit, which is great, but obviously it takes time to do those things, whereas this is how it is more naturally." Frank previously spoke to SunSport in March - just as his challenge was really growing out - when he had just hit 60,000 followers on his Instagram page alongside the millions of views he had received. Frank told SunSport he has been raising money for the charity MindUK, even doing an ice bucket challenge earlier in the summer. When United do eventually manage to win five games in a row, he aims to cut it off at Old Trafford and plans to donate the money raised from his freshly sheared hair to the Little Princess Trust. But believe it or not, it isn't long enough to donate yet. "At the moment, my hair is 18cm long and it has to be at least 25cm to 30cm to be able to donate it. But either way, I'd love to raise some money for charity. "I've been raising money for MindUK, but when it gets nearer the time, I'm going to do something. I think it's going to be the Little Princess Trust. "I think the perfect ending would be to cut it at Old Trafford." But Frank believes the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount can be shining lights in the upcoming season, urging Ruben Amorim to give Mainoo a run in the team while also predicting Mount to be the most improved player in the squad from last season, if he stays fit. Advertisement In terms of the season, Frank believes this United team won't be title challengers, but should be pushing for European football again. He said: "I'm optimistic, but my realistic prediction would be sixth. I think if we come any lower than that, it's another failure. "And I think if we can do any better than that it would be unbelievable compared to last season. "Obviously these things take time, but yeah, I think realistically Europa League places are probably what we should be aiming for as a stepping stone..." On Amorim, Frank added: "If we came seventh, there's an argument there (to keep him). But if we finish 15th again then it's not happening and it's not gonna work in the Premier League. Advertisement "I really like Amorim, but I do think my one criticism of him - the same of Ange [Postecoglou] when he was at Spurs - is this obsession with one system. "I don't think one size fits all is possible in football. I would like to see different ideas. I completely get it's the main system, but it would be nice to see every now and then, 'oh hang on a minute, we're doing something different for this game'." United start the season against Arsenal, who Frank reckons are beatable on the opening day at Old Trafford despite his expectation for them to be a tough customer.
