VMC asked to implement reforms to qualify for SASCI grants

Vadodara: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) will have to carry out a series of reforms to qualify for funds under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme of the Union govt. The urban development department has directed the civic body to initiate necessary steps to meet the compliance requirements. The SASCI scheme provides long-term interest-free loans to states for capital expenditure in governance, finance, urban planning, and ease of doing business. Of the total Rs 13,000 crore earmarked for urban planning reforms, civic bodies can access grants only after implementing specific reforms or submitting action taken reports. An additional Rs 5,000 crore is allocated for ease of doing business reforms. Officials said that the deadlines for compliance with some reforms fall this month, while others are due next month. Among the key conditions, VMC must fill at least 50% of vacant posts in public health, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering. It must also sanction at least three posts of environment engineers and hydrologists and complete half of the required recruitment in these categories. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like NRIs Living In Bosnia And Herzegovina Are Eligible For INR 2 Lakh Monthly Pension. A major recommendation is the preparation of a digital twin of the city, though VMC officials pointed out that the project would be expensive. For now, the civic body only needs to submit a note on the scope of work and cost estimates. Many other suggested reforms have either been implemented or are in progress, and VMC will need to submit action taken reports on these to qualify for SASCI assistance. Samsung Galaxy S25 FE leaked renders reveal all colours, specs detailed

Just when it seemed that Samsung was done with its Galaxy S25 line-up for the year, another member of the family is expected to join soon. Courtesy of Android Headlines, the Galaxy S25 FE has appeared in leaked renders, giving us a fair idea of what to expect. The Fan Edition phones have always tried to balance affordability and flagship features, and this year's version should continue that trend. More interestingly, the Galaxy S25 FE could arrive around the launch of the upcoming iPhone 17 series, making things a lot more per the renders, the Galaxy S25 FE will be available in icy blue, navy, black and white. While most of these shades match the regular Galaxy S25 line-up, the white option stands out as something new, especially since the standard Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus skipped it. It's a clean and classic finish that could appeal to a lot of buyers who prefer understated terms of design, Samsung seems to be sticking to its Fan Edition formula with a glossy glass finish, but the big change is in the dimensions. The Galaxy S25 FE is rumoured to be just 7.4mm thick and weigh around 190 grams. For comparison, last year's Galaxy S24 FE measured 8mm and weighed 213 grams, so this is a noticeable improvement in portability. Despite slimming down, the phone is said to pack a slightly bigger 4,900mAh battery compared to the 4,700mAh cell in its predecessor. It is also rumoured to support 45W wired charging, which should keep charging times fairly quick. On the performance side, leaks point to the Galaxy S25 FE being powered by Samsung's Exynos 2400 chipset. This is the same processor found inside the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, and a step up from the Exynos 2400e seen in last year's Galaxy S24 FE. RAM will likely be 8GB, along with a choice of either 128GB or 256GB of the front, the Galaxy S25 FE's display is expected to be a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. While Samsung hasn't confirmed it yet, it's likely to borrow this display from the other Galaxy S25 phones. In terms of protection, the phone should feature Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus have also been detailed in earlier leaks, and it seems Samsung is not planning a huge change in hardware here. On the rear, the Galaxy S25 FE may come with a 50-megapixel primary camera, paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. This setup is quite similar to the Galaxy S24 FE, although Samsung might use upgraded sensors this time. The front camera, however, will likely be upgraded from 10-megapixels on the Galaxy S24 FE to 12-megapixels on the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE is expected to launch in September, completing Samsung's S25 family that already includes the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, and the recently launched S25 Edge. Whether Samsung chooses to unveil it during its IFA 2025 conference on September 4 or closer to the iPhone launch window remains to be tuned to India Today Tech for all the latest on the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE.- Ends
