
Telangana CM directs officials to prepare Bhudhar numbers for land
During a meeting on Revenue and Housing departments, Reddy also instructed officials to prepare for the inauguration of houses built under the government's 'Indiramma Indlu' housing scheme for the poor.
Officials told Reddy that a significant number of houses under the scheme have been completed in several districts of the state, an official release said.
The Telangana 'Indiramma Indlu' Scheme is a housing initiative that provides financial assistance to eligible, landless, and homeless families in the state to construct permanent houses on their own plots. The beneficiaries receive financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakhs for construction.

Vision 2047 targets to make UP $6 Tneconomy, raise PCI to Rs 26L: Yogi
Lucknow: Concluding the marathon 24-hour debate on Vision 2047 in the state Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday that the blueprint sets the target to make UP a $6 trillion economy. "The govt is also committed to raising the per capita income to Rs 26 lakh per annum by 2047," he added. The CM asserted that Uttar Pradesh would lead India's march to 'Viksit Bharat'. "India can become a developed nation only when every state meets its responsibility, adding that UP would be at the forefront of this mission," he said. Sharing that the blueprint for Viksit Uttar Pradesh has been built on 3 themes and 12 sectors, the CM said: "Building on eight years of progress, the government aims to make Uttar Pradesh a $1 trillion economy by 2030, and chart a course toward $6 trillion by 2047, increasing the state's GDP share from 9.3% to at least 16%, he stated. Yogi said that the current national per capita income is about Rs 2 lakh, while Uttar Pradesh's average is much lower. "The goal is that by 2047, the state's per capita income should be at least Rs 26 lakh annually, equal to or above the national average," the CM said, adding "there is a roadmap to raise the average growth rate to 15%." Thanking the 187 MLAs from both the ruling party and the opposition who took part in the discussion during the marathon, the CM lauded their serious and engaging participation, calling the marathon discussion a testament to the strength of democracy and the dedication of its members. Asserting that only holistic development would help achieve the goal of 'Viksit UP and Viksit Bharat', Yogi said that 2047, the centenary year of India's independence, will be the year of 'Ram Rajya' in which basic facilities like education, medical care, housing, water, and electricity would be provided to every person. Yogi said that the state planning department would make the final draft of the 'vision document' after coordinating with experts from various sectors and NITI Aayog. The exercise would involve gathering suggestions invited over a period of one month. The final Vision Document will subsequently be put forth before the state assembly for its formal approval. "This is not merely a 'Ghoshna Patra' but a 'mahaabhiyan' of UP's pledge, hard work, and astha," he said. He said that this would be the hope of a farmer working in a field, the hope of a student dreaming of a golden future, and the hope of a labourer who is laying the foundation of development. He said the state would have to be established as a 'growth engine' of the country. House passes bill to raise salary of legislators by 30%
Lucknow: The UP Assembly on Thursday passed a bill to allow 30% raise in legislators' salaries and allowances. The increased salary will be effective from April 1, 2025, finance minister Suresh Khanna told TOI and added that the much-awaited demand to link the salary with cost inflation index has also been heeded to. From now on, the salary of the legislators would be revised as per cost inflation index every five years, Khanna said and added that only a notification would be issued when the revision is effected. As per the bill, legislators' basic salary has been increased from the existing Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000 while ministers' salary has been increased from existing Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000. The area allowance given to legislators has also been increased from the existing Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000, the bill stated. The railway coupon has been increased from Rs 4.25 lakh per year to Rs 5 lakh per year. The increased Rs 5 lakh railway coupon will be 100% convertible. Earlier, of the Rs 4.25 lakh railway coupon, only Rs 3 lakh worth coupons were convertible to other means of transport like vehicle and flight while Rs 1.25 lakh coupon had to be mandatorily used as railway conveyance. The UP government has also increased legislators' personal assistance allowance from existing Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 while medical allowance has also been increased from Rs 30,000 to Rs 45,000. The daily allowance to legislators has also been increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000 while the House sitting allowance has been increased from existing Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500, Khanna said while tabling the bill. Telephone allowance has also been increased from existing Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000, Khanna said. Allowance and pension for the ex-MLA has also been increased from Rs 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh, including Railway coupons. Similarly, family pension has also been increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000, Khanna said and added in the case of death of the MLA and his or her spouse, children will get the family pension evenly distributed among the number of siblings. However, if the spouse of the MLA is alive, the family pension will go to the spouse. Since the increased salary will be effective from April 1, 2025, the arrears will be given to the legislators when the next salary would be given.
