Apple TV+'s Shrinking has won over audiences with its heartfelt blend of comedy and drama, tackling themes of grief, forgiveness, and personal growth. Starring Jason Segel as therapist Jimmy Laird and Harrison Ford as his mentor Dr. Paul Rhoades, the series has been praised for its emotional depth and stellar performances. With Season 2 concluding in December 2024, fans are eagerly awaiting news about Shrinking Season 3. Here's everything we know so far about the release date, cast, plot, and more. Shrinking Season 3 Release Date Speculation
While Apple TV+ hasn't officially announced a release date for Shrinking Season 3, based on previous production timelines, it's likely to premiere between late 2025 and early 2026. Filming began in February 2025, and if the show follows its usual schedule, an October 2025 release seems possible—though delays could push it to early 2026, especially if post-production takes longer or cast availability, like Harrison Ford's, becomes a factor. Shrinking Season 3 Expected Cast
The core cast of Shrinking is expected to return for Season 3, continuing the stories of Jimmy and his circle of therapists, friends, and family. Here's a breakdown of expected cast members: Returning Cast Jason Segel as Jimmy Laird, the grieving therapist whose unconventional methods drive the show's narrative.
Harrison Ford as Dr. Paul Rhoades, Jimmy's mentor dealing with Parkinson's disease.
Jessica Williams as Gaby, a therapist and close friend of Jimmy.
Lukita Maxwell as Alice, Jimmy's daughter navigating her mother's death.
Michael Urie as Brian, Jimmy's best friend and a new parent.
Luke Tennie as Sean, one of Jimmy's clients with a complex past.
Christa Miller as Liz, Jimmy's neighbor and a supportive figure.
Ted McGinley as Derek, Liz's husband.
Brett Goldstein as Louis, the drunk driver responsible for Jimmy's wife's death. Co-creator Bill Lawrence has confirmed Goldstein will likely return for at least a few episodes to explore Louis's journey.
Wendie Malick as Dr. Julie Baram, Paul's partner.
Devin Kawaoka as Charlie, Brian's husband. Shrinking Season 3 Potential Plot
Season 3 will revolve around moving forward, as confirmed by Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence. The new season is expected to explore Jimmy's trauma and personal growth, particularly in light of his father's introduction. Jeff Daniels's character may bring unresolved family dynamics to the forefront, offering new insights into Jimmy's past. The theme of 'moving forward' suggests Jimmy may take steps toward new relationships or professional stability, though Bill Lawrence has cautioned against resetting his grief arc entirely.

The Long-Awaited ‘Mass Effect' Show Has a Showrunner Now

Prime Video's upcoming Mass Effect show is progressing slowly, but surely. On Friday, Deadline revealed the live-action series gained Doug Jung as its showrunner. Jung, who most may remember as the co-writer for 2016's Star Trek Beyond, recently ended a showrunner/executive producer stint for Apple TV+'s Chief of War. He'll be working alongside writer Dan Casey, and both will EP for the series alongside franchise producer Mike Gamble. As Deadline notes, this is a 'major step forward' in the show's development, which was first teased all the way back in 2021, then had its existence reaffirmed back in 2024. To date, Prime Video's kept mum on what exactly Casey's pitch was for the Mass Effect show. Among fans, the general thinking is that it'll just adapt the initial trilogy of Commander Shepard gathering allies to fight the Reapers. (This also seemed to be the plan when a movie seemed likely back in 2007 after the first game came out.) But shows like Castlevania and Prime Video's own Fallout have taken a different approach that tells an original story inside the worlds of those series. (Fallout in particular carries itself like a Fallout 5 we're getting to watch but not play.) Others, like Tomb Raider and Dragon Age, continued (or hoped to) the stories of the games they're based on. There's certainly different routes for the Mass Effect series to take, and we'll be interested to learn Jung and Casey's approach in due time.

Originally appeared on E! Online Sydney Sweeney is soaping up the attention. The Anyone But You star recently made waves—literally—when she announced a partnership with Dr. Squatch for a limited-edition line of bar soaps that include an unusual, key ingredient: her actual bathwater. And in the time since, the collab has made quite the splash online. 'I think it's more fun to see everyone else talk about it,' Sydney admitted to E! News at the premiere of her new film Echo Valley on June 4, adding on how the product came to be, 'I pitched it.' (For more with Sydney, tune into E! News tonight, June 5 at 11 p.m.) After all, as Sydney pointed out in her announcement post, when she first partnered with Dr. Squatch back in December—in a commercial she filmed from a bathtub—fans couldn't get enough. 'You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad…' she captioned her May 30 post. 'So we kept it.' The end result? A teal-colored bar of soap called Sydney's Bathwater Bliss (available June 6). More from E! One such endeavor has been her new Apple TV+ film Echo Valley, where the Euphoria star plays daughter to as the two battle to keep a dark secret hidden. It was a project she said gave her 'so many reasons' to say yes. 'The character, Claire, is such a multi-layered, troubled young woman,' she explained. 'And being able to explore a character that has so many dimensional relationships with their mother, it's fun.' And working opposite such a powerhouse like Julianne, which Sydney described as 'such a dream,' was an added perk. 'She is beyond kind,' the Euphoria actress gushed. 'Like one of the kindest human beings I've ever met.' Echo Valley premieres on Apple TV+ June 13. 'Ghost Adventures' Star Aaron Goodwin Gets Emotional Confronting Estranged Wife as She Is Sentenced for Conspiring to Murder Him

Aaron Goodwin confronted his estranged wife Victoria Goodwin during her sentencing on June 5 He told the judge he "will never feel safe" and he fears for his life after finding out that his estranged wife conspired to have him killed Victoria was sentenced to a minimum of 36 months and a maximum of 90 months in prison after taking a plea deal in AprilAaron Goodwin confronted his estranged wife Victoria Goodwin for conspiring to murder him. The Ghost Adventures star, 49, read a statement in court as Victoria was sentenced on Thursday, June 5, detailing how he felt when he found out that she had been plotting his murder and the subsequent fear he had for his safety. 'For seven years I thought I was in [the] most loving relationship of marriage with my best friend, someone I trusted [with my] whole heart and laughed with every day. Someone who made me feel like I was so — like I was her one and only,' an emotional Goodwin told the judge, per Court TV. "Now, discovering she put a hit out to kill me more than once, got blackmailed and spent almost all our savings to keep it quiet … This has led me to fear [for] my life,' he continued, through tears. 'I've hired armed security for weeks. Not knowing [whether] it was over or not.' Aaron, who filed for divorce from Victoria in March, told the judge that ever since he found out about the plot, he has been 'looking over' his shoulder and going through therapy to understand everything that has happened. He then described the feeling as a 'heartbreak no one should go through in life," stating, "The fact that this person did all this to me with no worry, no care or love in her heart for me, I will never feel the same." "I will never feel safe or be the same because of what she did. Especially when she gets out one day," Aaron added. 'Whether she [gets] minimum or maximum time, I still won't feel safe whenever she's released. I feel like this deserves prison time." Victoria was later sentenced to a minimum of 36 months and a maximum of 90 months in prison, according to KVVU-TV. She previously accepted a plea deal in April, pleading guilty to one felony count of conspiracy to commit murder. Victoria was initially taken into custody on March 6 on charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder. She allegedly conspired with convicted murderer Grant Amato, with whom she began a relationship in March 2024, after seeing him in the Paramount+ true crime docuseries, Ctrl + Alt + Desire, per a police report. After Victoria and Amato met, she allegedly conspired to kill Aaron with her new lover's help — allegedly going as far as discussing payments for his murder. Their alleged plans were discovered when a phone Amato had been communicating with Victoria on was confiscated by prison security guards. Aaron and Victoria had been married since August 2022. Following the news of Victoria's alleged murder-for-hire plan, Aaron filed for divorce in a complaint that read, "There is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife.' Aaron later thanked his fans for their continued support in a March 22 Instagram post. "Thank you everyone for all the love and support through this emotionally trying time. It has really helped a lot and I appreciate you all,' he wrote. Read the original article on People
