TDP redefines welfare governance
Tirupati: Lauding the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) as a pioneer in people-centric politics, Palamaner MLA and former minister N Amarnath Reddy said the party has redefined welfare governance and empowered weaker sections by wresting power from traditional political elites.
Speaking at the ongoing 'Mahanadu' in Kadapa, Reddy described Gandipet as a 'political school' that trained many young leaders like him and opened doors for leadership across undivided Andhra Pradesh.
Highlighting the dual progress in politics and development, Reddy said that since its inception by NT Rama Rao, the TDP has remained committed to its ideals, with N Chandrababu Naidu leading it with democratic values and political integrity. He added that TDP is one of the rare parties where leadership is chosen democratically every two years by its grassroots workers.
Reddy praised Naidu's efforts in transforming backward regions like Rayalaseema and North Andhra by improving irrigation, curbing factionalism, and creating employment opportunities.
He also credited Nara Lokesh for bravely leading the 'Yuvagalam' padayatra despite repeated hurdles, taking the party forward with determination.
Speaking to The Hans India, Tirupati Urban Development Authority Chairman C Divakar Reddy said the Mahanadu, held for the first time in Kadapa, marked a new political shift in the region – from factionalism to welfare-based governance. The city turned yellow for the three day event, reflecting the party's growing acceptance.
Praising Naidu's three-decade leadership, Divakar Reddy said the TDP chief's technological acumen and administrative foresight make him a role model in modern politics. The party cadre proudly re-elected him as the national president.
Echoing the sentiment, TDP Tirupati Parliamentary President and Yadava Corporation Chairman G Narasimha Yadav said the Mahanadu brought new energy to the party after its sweeping 2024 Assembly victory. New resolutions were introduced, addressing diverse social groups and setting benchmarks for inclusive governance.
He affirmed that Naidu has always remained committed to the party's founding principles, making TDP a truly visionary regional party with national aspirations.

Jagan Mohan Reddy objects to supply of ration goods through fair price shops
YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has opposed the government's decision to supply ration through the fair price (FP) shops instead of mobile dispensing units (MDU). In a post on X on Sunday, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the government's decision would create hardship to the poor. 'The government is pushing onto the road nearly 20,000 BC, SC, ST and minority people, who rely on the 9,260 MDUs introduced by the YSRCP government,' he said. The TDP had promised to pay ₹10,000 per month to the volunteers if it was voted to power. Soon after coming to power, the government withdrew their services. In the name of rationalisation, the government was acting with a vengeance against the village and ward secretariats. Village Clinics, family doctor services, and RBKs were weakened, he said. 'People are facing serious difficulties in getting government services. Due to this foolish move, their difficulties have increased further,' he alleged. Moreover, 20,000 employees who depended on these vehicles had been hit hard, he said. They were not shown any alternative, he added. In all, three lakh people, who included 2.6 lakh volunteers and those laid off in the AP Beverages Corporation and AP FibreNet, lost their jobs, he said. 'Only Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu can destroy so many families in a year of rule,' he added.

NDA leaders see ‘conspiracy' to unseat alliance government in Andhra Pradesh
Several leaders of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government and members of the TTD Trust Board have questioned the series of unsavoury incidents in the recent past, and suspect them to be the handiwork of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in a bid to unseat the alliance government. The apparent trigger was the incident on Friday night, when a devotee in the Sarvadarshan queue line in Tirumala raised slogans against the TTD for 'neglecting the interests of the pilgrims' and causing them hardship during their Tirumala visit. He said the TTD officials had failed to provide them food and kept them waiting outside the queue lines for several hours. The video of the incident was shot and made viral on social media platforms, causing embarrassment to the TTD as well as the State government. However, when the TTD reached out to the devotee and tried to offer him solace, rather surprisingly, he retracted from the allegation and gave an 'all is well' statement. Growing suspicious about the intent, the TTD management issued a stern warning to the public not to make baseless allegations against the institution, as it would affect the sentiments of Hindu devotees across the world. Board member and BJP State spokesperson G. Bhanuprakash Reddy submitted a letter to the Director-General of Police, complaining about the 'conspiracies' of the YSRCP leaders to unseat the NDA Government. He charged the leaders of unleashing a false propaganda, supported by deliberate misleading comments on its allied media, to create confusion among the public. Mr. Reddy pointed to the instances of alleged cow deaths at the TTD-run dairy farm, SV Gosamrakshanasala, and the stray incident involving a Muslim cab driver performing 'namaz' in Tirumala, which were deliberately used to show the TTD administration and the NDA government in poor light. He sought a thorough probe and harsh punishment of the guilty for playing with the sentiments of devotees. Lokesh responds In his post on X, Minister for HRD N. Lokesh responded on the 'negative campaign' by the opposition party. He said the person raising slogans against the TTD was identified as YSRCP activist Baddili Atcha Rao of Kakinada rural, and expressed regret over the miscreants in the opposition party choosing Tirumala for their 'malicious campaign' against the government.

Telangana BJP to launch booth-level outreach from June 8 to highlight Modi govt's achievements
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 1 (ANI): Union Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy held a meeting at the party's state office in Hyderabad on Sunday to review ongoing and upcoming party programmes. He said the BJP would organise a series of outreach events from June 8 to June 18 to highlight the Central government's achievements. Reddy emphasised that over the past 11 years, the BJP-led government at the Centre has delivered in multiple areas, from basic sanitation to space exploration. 'Under the leadership of PM Modi, NDA-BJP won the Lok Sabha elections three times in a row with the blessings of the people. In these 11 years, many works have been done towards making a corruption-free India a global power through good governance. PM Modi's government has worked in different areas. Many works have been done from building toilets in a poor household in a village to hoisting the country's flag on the moon,' Reddy said. He said the upcoming booth-level events will serve as a medium to connect directly with the people. 'From 8th June to 18th June, we will organise programs at every polling booth among the people and will go door-to-door to tell the people about the work done by the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards building a new India,' he said. Earlier, in a post on X, Reddy highlighted how he mentioned the various developmental initiatives and how the government has ensured that Centrally Sponsored Schemes and projects 'reach the deserving population.' 'I emphasized on the need to take various development initiatives of Narendra Modi govt., made throughout the last decade in various sectors like Agriculture, Industries, MSMEs, Railways, Roadways, and Technology among others to every household. Under the leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, we have ensured that all the Centrally Sponsored Schemes and projects reach the deserving population, while contributing to grassroots-level development and empowerment of all,' he wrote.
