Phillies Trade Idea Replaces Brandon Marsh With Cedric Mullins
Will the Philadelphia Phillies finally add a centerfielder to replace Brandon Marsh at the deadline?
That seems to be the question that the Phillies haven't answered over the past few years, but the hope is for Dave Dombrowski to finally do something significant.

For Dombrowski and the Phillies, this should be viewed as one of the final years that they have a chance to win a World Series.
Yes, the Phillies have much of their core locked up for a very long time, but if things don't eventually fall their way, how much longer can he realistically continue to run this team back?
Regarding the players they could add in center field, Cedric Mullins continues to be one who pops up.

Andrew Wright of Newsweek proposed a trade idea that would see the Phillies land him, adding that they should be one of four teams that show interest in him.
'After a scorching hot start to the season, Mullins is in the middle of a 2-for-29 slump. There is still plenty of time to improve that, and he will certainly need to get those numbers up to make himself a trade target.

'If it is made known that Mullins is available, the Tigers, Royals, Phillies and Reds should jump on the phone and try to get a deal worked out,' he explained.
Despite his recent cold stretch, Mullins has been very good to start the season, posting a 136 OPS+.
His career 109 OPS+ is likely more of the player he's shown to be, but if he can get his power numbers back to where they were in 2021, where he hit 30 home runs and 37 doubles, he'd be the perfect addition to this Phillies lineup.

Kennedy, 26, is batting .283 with eight homers and 40 RBIs in 61 games for Lehigh Valley this season and was the International League Player of the Month for May. In 54 major league games over three seasons with the Diamondbacks, Tigers and Phillies, he has batted .203 with two homers and 19 RBIs. Wilson batted .194 with one home run and 4 RBIs in 22 games for the Phillies this season.

Pete Crow-Armstrong became the latest addition to the 20/20 Club by hitting his 20th home run of the season on Thursday. He also has 23 stolen bases. Crow-Armstrong opened the Chicago Cubs' afternoon game against the Milwaukee Brewers by entering the elite group.
