Bugaboo recalls Giraffe high chair over serious fall risk
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the legs of the Giraffe high chair can detach from the frame if the screws connecting them are not properly tightened during assembly. This creates a risk of serious injury—or even death—if a child falls from the chair.
The company has received 22 reports of the legs detaching, including 13 reports of minor injuries.
Bugaboo is offering a free repair kit to fix the issue and is contacting all known purchasers directly.

This recall includes Bugaboo Giraffe high chairs sold in the U.S. between May 2023 and April 2025 for about $380.
The high chairs were sold in five color combinations and are identifiable by an item code printed on the bottom of the seat:

Bugaboo sold these high chairs through Nordstrom, other specialty retailers, and online at Bugaboo.com and Amazon.
Parents should immediately stop using the recalled high chair and request a free repair kit from Bugaboo. The kit includes new screws and an Allen key to help reinforce the chair's legs and ensure safe use.
