Dubai-based Innovate Living Development has announced the launch of its first ultra-luxury boutique residential hospitality brand, Omoria Private Residences, thus introducing a new benchmark in private living that blends anticipatory service, thoughtfully crafted spaces, and holistic well-being.
Born in Dubai and shaped by the city's globally recognised standard of excellence, Omoria is set to expand across iconic destinations within the UAE, with a vision to establish its presence in key global markets, said the developer.
Co-founded by Innovate Living Development and Dr Omar BinSulaiman, Omoria responds to the growing demand from ultra-high-net-worth individuals for curated, service-led living experiences that move beyond traditional luxury affiliations.
The name combines 'Omo' derived from Omotenashi, the Japanese philosophy of anticipatory care and thoughtful hospitality, and 'Ria,' which reflects Italian refinement and elegance, together signalling the sophisticated experience Omoria is committed to delivering, it stated.
With a portfolio of bespoke developments in the pipeline, Omoria pioneers a new era of residential hospitality through high-touch, intentional service - from a dedicated well-being concierge crafting personalized wellness and nutrition plans, to in-residence dining, spa rituals and signature living experiences.
Building on Innovate Living's legacy of iconic developments such as Palme Couture on Palm Jumeirah, Omoria presents a globally resonant model of discreet, elegant, and sophisticated living.
The debut project on Dubai Islands will feature a limited collection of exclusive waterfront residences, including a signature penthouse – each offering direct beach access, expansive sea views and curated wellness-focused amenities.
"Today's global ultra-luxury consumer doesn't just recognise the Dubai standard, they expect it, wherever they travel. Dubai and the UAE have redefined what the world now regards as the ultimate benchmark for excellence across experiences, services, products, and future-ready living," remarked Dr BinSulaiman.
"Omoria is born of this very DNA. At its heart lies a deep commitment to holistic well-being and longevity, sustainability and a world of exclusive, curated services, all delivered with the elegance, innovation, and precision that define Dubai and the UAE on the global stage," he added.
Designed by Innovate Living's atelier and an acclaimed Italian director, each Omoria residence is fully furnished with bespoke pieces from leading high-end artisanal Italian brands, merging elegance with enduring function.
Omoria is built around a 360-degree approach to holistic wellbeing and longevity. The debut project introduces a state-of-the-art luxury wellness centre featuring infrared saunas, salt rooms, ice baths, oxygen therapy, and personalised nutrition programs, all overseen by the dedicated wellbeing concierge.
Residences also feature centralised air and water purification systems, along with a first-of-its-kind skyline padel court offering panoramic sea views at an unprecedented elevation, seamlessly merging innovation, tranquillity, and a long-term commitment to healthful living.
Kareem Fahmy, Founder & CEO of Innovate Living, said: "We're seeing a shift in how long-term value is perceived in the ultra-luxury residential sector. We've introduced a proprietary hospitality model that offers the refinement of a luxury home, combined with Omoria's new gold standard in private hospitality."
"As a Dubai brand, we deeply understand the evolving needs of our clientele, and with Omoria Private Residences, we're setting a new benchmark not only for Dubai but for the world," he stated.
Innovate Living said the signature Omoria hospitality experience is curated and will be driven by Yigit Sezgin and his multidisciplinary senior team alongside an all-star advisory board, who collectively bring over 250 years of experience across luxury hospitality, branding, and real estate.
Sezgin has held senior leadership roles at iconic global brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Raffles, Missoni, and Fairmont, while the team's portfolio includes landmark projects with Aman, Soho House, Mandarin Oriental, and Rosewood.
This depth of expertise is central to Omoria's differentiated approach to private residential hospitality.
On the new project, Sezgin said: "Luxury today is being redefined, not by abundance, but by intention. For UHNWIs, the true measure of luxury lies in privacy, consistency and environments that adapt intuitively to their lifestyle," he noted.

Emirates to reintroduce Damascus services from July 16

Emirates is set to reintroduce flights to Damascus from July 16 (subject to government approvals), following a comprehensive evaluation in conjunction with the UAE GCAA. Operations were suspended to the Syrian capital in 2012. The airline will initially start with three weekly services on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, with plans to expand to four weekly flights from August 2 with an additional flight on Saturday. Emirates will expand its Damascus services to daily operations, effective October 26. Emirates' services to Damascus will operate with a 302-seater Boeing 777-200LR and is planned to depart Dubai as EK 913 at 1200hrs, arriving in Damascus International Airport at 1410hrs local time. The return flight, EK 914 will depart Damascus at 1630hrs, arriving in Dubai at 2030hrs local time. The flights will open up new opportunities for travellers to conveniently connect to and from the airline's network of nearly 150 destinations and will support the UAE's efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and support Syrian aspirations to rebuild and attract foreign investment across key sectors such as energy, construction and agriculture, the airline said. Emirates customers flying to and from Damascus will also benefit from the airline's codeshare partnership with flydubai, which will complement its flight schedule and provide more options and convenience when flying in and out of the Syrian capital. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group said: 'Emirates is pleased to restart operations to Damascus and support Syria's road ahead by providing better choice and connectivity, essential economic links for inwards investment as well as opening new trade lanes and global market access for the country. Re-establishing air travel and connectivity is also good news for our customers that make up the expansive Syrian diaspora across the Americas, Europe and the GCC, who are eager to fly back home and reconnect to their roots, and leverage their knowledge, skills, expertise and resources in ongoing development efforts. "We would like to thank the Syrian authorities for their support in strengthening connectivity between Dubai and Damascus and look forward to boosting links to and from the country through our regularly scheduled operations.' The UAE and Syria's trade volumes reached $680 million (AED2.5 billion) in 2024, a 23% increase over the previous year, and the new flights will further stimulate vital trade ties. The UAE's thriving Syrian community of over 350,000 nationals have played an integral role in the UAE's prosperity, contributing through entrepreneurial ventures and skilled expertise while further enriching the country's vibrant cultural tapestry, it said. -TradeArabia News Service

RTA announces urban project to upgrade Umm Suqeim Street

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced an integrated urban project for the upgradation of Umm Suqeim Street, from its intersection with Jumeirah Street to Al Khail Road. The project is designed to enhance traffic flow in support of the emirate's comprehensive development, address the demands of urban expansion and population growth, and to improve the overall quality of life for both residents and visitors. It complements works currently underway to upgrade Umm Suqeim Street from its intersection with Al Khail Road to Emirates Road, ultimately enabling uninterrupted traffic flow from Jumeirah to Al Qudra Road over a total distance of 20km. The project goes beyond traditional road widening and development by integrating creative and aesthetic enhancements into the surrounding urban landscape. It features upgraded pedestrian walkways, a dedicated cycling track, and complete streets (boulevards), alongside vibrant urban spaces designed to foster community interaction and create inclusive, dynamic environments, said RTA in a statement. It also establishes a direct link between Mall of the Emirates Metro Station and nearby residential communities through targeted improvements that ensure smooth, integrated, and seamless access between these areas and the metro. The project forms part of a master plan developed by RTA to upgrade the road network in the area, including enhancements to Jumeirah Street, Al Wasl Street , and Al Safa Street, details of which will be announced in due course, it stated. Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said: "The upgrade of Umm Suqeim Street, from its intersection with Jumeirah Street to Al Khail Road, forms part of a master plan to develop the Umm Suqeim–Al Qudra corridor. " "This strategic route extends from its intersections with Jumeirah Street throughout to its intersections with Emirates Road to Al Qudra Road, serving key residential and development zones with a combined population exceeding two million," he stated. "The project enhances connectivity across four strategic transport corridors in Dubai - Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and Emirates Road. It will increase Umm Suqeim Street's capacity to 16,000 vehicles per hour in both directions, significantly improve traffic flow, and reduce travel time between Jumeirah Street and Al Khail Road from 20 minutes to just six," noted Al Tayer. "The upgraded corridor will directly serve vital residential and development areas, including Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim, Al Manara, Al Sufouh, Umm Al Sheif, Al Barsha, and Al Quoz; home to more than two million residents," he added. According to him, the project entails the upgrade of six key intersections along Umm Suqeim Street, specifically those with Jumeirah Street, Al Wasl Street, Sheikh Zayed Road, First Al Khail Street, Al Asayel Street, and Al Khail Road. The scope of work includes the construction of four bridges and three tunnels, with a total combined length of 4,100m. "At the intersection with Jumeirah Street, a tunnel with two lanes in each direction will be constructed, complemented by a signalised surface-level junction," said Al Tayer.

Al Salam Bank announces sale of key stake in Seef Properties

Al Salam Bank, the largest Islamic bank in Bahrain, has announced the sale of its 15.6% shareholding in Seef Properties to GFH. The exit of Seef Properties forms part of a broader Group optimization strategy designed to expand and reinforce focus on core banking operations and the Group's strategic holdings in banking, takaful, and asset management. ASB Capital, the Group's asset management arm, was appointed by Al Salam Bank as sell-side advisor. Under this, ASB Capital's key role will be to assist in sourcing, structuring and executing the exit of its significant minority stake in Seef Properties. Launched earlier this year with a starting assets under management (AUM) of $4.5 billion, ASB Capital recently launched its investment banking offering covering advisory, transaction mandates, capital market solutions, and other bespoke offerings across various asset classes. On this transaction, Rafik Nayed, Group Chief Executive Officer of Al Salam Bank and Managing Director of ASB Capital, said: "This transaction represents our continued commitment to exit non-strategic holdings as part of a group-wide optimization initiative." "Aligned with our strategy, we are reallocating capital and focus towards growing core banking operations and expanding our strategic holdings in banking, takaful, and asset management- sectors that offer long term value and operational synergies within the context of the Group," he noted. Additionally, Nayed said: "ASB Capital's role in facilitating the transaction, despite global market volatility, underscores the strength of our expertise and execution capabilities in transaction advisory and capital markets."
