2025 NBA Sixth Man Of The Year Odds: Payton Pritchard Favored To Repeat
The Thunder are the current favorites to win it all again, Cooper Flagg is the heavy favorite to win Rookie of the Year and there's a close race at the top of the board for Most Improved Player.
And now bettors are starting to put some cash on players for Sixth Man of the Year.
Payton Pritchard won the award at the end of the 2024 season, becoming the fourth Celtic to take home the honor. The 6-foot-1 point guard is the favorite to win Sixth Man of the Year at the end of the 2025 season.

Boston's Payton Pritchard is at the top of the board at +550. He appeared in 80 games for the Celtics last season, averaging 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists. Pritchard was the favorite to win Sixth Man of the Year for virtually all of last season before officially taking home the award in April.
Second on the board is Cleveland's De'Andre Hunter at +800. Hunter was drafted fourth in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Lakers but spent most of his career in Atlanta until being acquired by the Cavaliers in February 2025. He averaged 17 points and 4.0 rebounds in 2024 and received two first-place votes in last season's Sixth Man voting.
A name further down the board that bettors might want to keep an eye on is Oklahoma's Alex Caruso at +8000. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard averaged 7.1 points off the bench but was an integral part of the Thunder's championship run, as he shot 44.6% from the field.

Longtime fans of the Boston Celtics may remember a night in 2009 when they witnessed what might be the greatest spontaneous fan performance in the history of the NBA. It was a typical midseason tilt unfolding in the TD Garden as the Celtics took on one of 29 opponents when the Jumbotron stopped for a second on a section of the assembled fans in the seats. Los Angeles Lakers Get Concerning Luka Doncic Update
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. When the Los Angeles Lakers pulled off arguably the biggest blockbuster trade in NBA history back in February that sent 10-time All-Star forward Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for superstar point guard Luka Doncic, many believed it signaled the latter would be in purple and gold for the foreseeable future. However, Doncic is only under contract for one more year with a $45.9 million cap hit in 2025 (he also has a $48.9 million player option for 2026-27), and there hasn't been much talk about him signing a long-term contract extension with L.A. Doncic is eligible to sign a four-year, $229 million max contract on Aug. 2, which is significantly less than the $345.3 million deal he could've signed had he stuck with the Mavericks. ESPN's Brian Windhorst cautioned Lakers fan earlier this week not to worry if there's no traction on a Doncic deal until September (he's currently with the Slovenian national team for EuroBasket 2025), but during an appearance on ESPN's "NBA Today" on Tuesday, Windhorst also explained that Doncic's contract situation is "stressing" the Lakers out. It is my hometown and where Mardi Gras started, long before New Orleans learned to throw beads. I grew up there, and the first lesson was simple: You can watch the parade from the sidewalk, or you can jump the barricade and be part of the show. Early in life, I chose to jump the barricade and get into the parade. Once over the barricade, it became clear to me that I wanted to be in the parade. Throughout my career, I have looked for other people who want to "get in the parade" and found that in a former student, Mac. He recently posted about being in the Oklahoma Thunder World Championship parade, and it reminded me to write about this experience. Mac fell for basketball in fifth grade. He practiced his autograph on notebook paper, convinced it would appear on NBA jerseys. That dream topped out in high school when he realized he wasn't headed for the draft. Most folks pack it in there. Mac pivoted. If he couldn't dunk under the lights, he'd help a team win from behind the scenes. Fast-forward 20 years. Mac runs ticket sales for the Oklahoma City Thunder. His team repeats one mantra: Every seat counts. They believe a sold-out building turns volume into victories. No crossovers, no threes, just phones, persistence and faith that noise tilts the floor. Game 7, NBA Finals, Thunder versus Pacers.
