This annual camp is organised under the direct supervision of His Excellency Nasser Obaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Commission's Board of Directors and International Commissioner, and with the follow-up of Major General Abdullah Saeed Al Suwaidi, General Supervisor of Activities.
The initiative falls within the Commission's vision to invest the summer vacation in developing the skills of young people and refining their personalities within a safe and educational environment.
Varied workshops
This year's summer programme is distinguished by its diverse offerings and integrated objectives. It combines scouting, sports, arts, and educational activities, spread over four daily periods, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The programme follows a structured schedule that ensures gradual progression, diversity, and interaction. Activities include football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and various recreational games, in addition to specialised scouting workshops and art workshops in arts education and handicrafts.
The camp also includes educational workshops on the environment, cars, and astronomy, all of which are supervised by a group of educational scouting leaders and specialised trainers in cooperation with the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA).
Age-appropriate activities
The programme has been carefully designed to suit the characteristics of the target age group, reinforcing the values of cooperation, discipline, and responsibility through group and interactive activities. It also provides participants with opportunities to discover their artistic and athletic talents and develop their life skills.
The Commission is keen to evaluate the daily performance of participants and leaders through carefully considered plans and meticulous field monitoring, contributing to the achievement of the camp's educational and pedagogical objectives.

Major General Abdullah Saeed Al Suwaidi stressed that the Scout Summer Camp embodies the Commission's vision of providing an ideal environment that supports children's development in all aspects. He pointed out that the programme aims to consolidate authentic scouting principles and provide participants with leadership and organisational skills and positive values that contribute to building their future personalities.
Sharjah Scout Commission added that the camp derives its success from the support of the wise leadership, headed by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Patron of the Scout Movement, who spares no effort in empowering the younger generations and providing them with development opportunities.

Exciting Events Conducted The event showcased a range of activities and engagements with SPEA employees. The presentation of the Authority's strategic plan for 2025–2028 featured several key highlights. This plan emphasises the enhancement of students' life and academic skills, the development of educational capabilities for an exceptional learning experience, support for gifted students, the promotion of inclusive education, the fostering of an attractive and sustainable educational environment, encouragement of research in education, and stimulation of investment in the education sector in Sharjah. Innovation in Education A series of school-led initiatives marked the occasion, highlighting innovation and community engagement in education. Khalifa Al Hamza School hosted the "Educational Innovation Exhibition" in its sports hall, showcasing students' creative projects and ideas in education and technology. This interactive platform fostered students' critical thinking and collaboration skills while contributing to the advancement of future learning methodologies. Sports and Education Ibn Sina Private School successfully hosted a "Sports Day for Primary and Kindergarten Students," blending education with physical activities. The event highlighted the importance of enhancing students' life skills by including interactive activities that effortlessly combined fitness with enjoyable learning experiences. The games improved students' cognitive and physical skills, fostering social interaction and hands-on learning experiences. Artistic Expressions Al Wardiya School added an artistic touch to the celebrations with theatrical and artistic performances highlighting the importance of education and lifelong learning. Additionally, the school organised a student parade in collaboration with Sharjah Traffic Department. Students marched around the school carrying initiative-themed hats and creative boards representing different academic subjects. Amid patriotic chants, they expressed pride in their Emirati identity and reinforced education as a fundamental pillar of the future. President Ramkalawan Leads Strategic Meeting on 13th Commission de la Jeunesse et des Sports de l'Océan Indien (CJSOI) Games Preparations

President Wavel Ramkalawan presided over a high-level meeting yesterday afternoon at State House to review preparations for the 13th Edition of the Commission de la Jeunesse et des Sports de l'Océan Indien (CJSOI) Games. The regional sporting event is set to take place in Seychelles from August 1-10, 2025. The meeting brought together key stakeholders from the organizing committee to address critical challenges and ensure the smooth execution of the games. President Ramkalawan evaluated initial proposals and swiftly proposed actionable solutions, particularly concerning infrastructure upgrades and athletes' training needs. To mitigate disruptions caused by ongoing renovations, the President suggested alternative training venues to support athletes' preparation schedules. Marc Arissol, CEO of the National Sports Council (NSC), provided a progress update on organizational milestones. While significant advancements have been made in logistics and event planning, Mr. Arissol emphasized the ongoing development of sports facilities and accommodation for participants. Albert Duncan, CEO of the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC), reassured attendees that preparations under the SNYC's purview, including the opening and closing ceremonies and the youth-focused "Volet Jeunesse" program, remain on track. The CJSOI Games are a pivotal event for the Indian Ocean region, promoting youth development, regional cooperation, and cultural exchange. This year's edition will bring together young athletes from member countries in a celebration of sporting excellence. Among the attendees were key officials, including Minister for Youth, Sports, and Family Marie-Céline Zialor; Principal Secretary for Sports Ralph Jean-Louis; and representatives from the NSC and SNYC. Notable participants included Lucas Georges (Director for Corporate Liaison and Games, NSC), Aldo Rose (Senior Project Officer, NSC), Ronald Wong (NSC), Josette Cadence (Director of Program, SNYC), Francois Magloire (Senior compliance Officer,SNYC), Faisal Naiken (Program Officer, SNYC), and Jude Commettant (Controller General, Ministry of Finance).
