Former Champion In Talks For WWE Return: Report
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A new report suggests that Nikki Bella may not be going into her new feud with Liv Morgan alone. Her twin sister and fellow WWE Hall of Famer, Brie Bella, is reportedly in talks for a return. The feud between Nikki and the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champion began on the June 9th episode of RAW. Nikki returned to promote the upcoming all-women's premium live event, Evolution, but was attacked by Morgan after a heated verbal exchange. A Personal Feud Heats Up According to a report from TMZ Sports, the on-screen rivalry has become deeply personal. During their confrontation, Morgan reportedly referenced Nikki's highly publicized and difficult split from her ex-husband, Artem Chigvintsev. This has reportedly angered Brie Bella, who is now in conversations about coming out of retirement to support her sister. A return would most likely see The Bella Twins reunite for a match at the Evolution event on July 13. The Bella Twins' Potential Reunion A Bella Twins reunion would add significant star power to the Evolution card. The duo was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020, and while Nikki has made sporadic appearances, Brie has not wrestled since the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble match. The WWE logo is seen on the front of the WWE wrestling world headquarters on January 28, 2024 in Stamford, Connecticut. WWE founder Vince McMahon resigned from the WWE and its parent company TKO as executive chairman and its board of directors following allegations of sexual assault made public in a lawsuit in Connecticut. A former employee Janel Grant accused McMahon, 78, of sexual assault and sexually trafficking her. MoreTheir return would be a natural fit for a tag team match against the current Women's Tag Team Champions, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Nikki Bella is already scheduled to appear on the June 16th episode of RAW, where the storyline is expected to continue. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation Bella is a former WWE Divas Champion and a WWE Hall of Famer, inducted as part of The Bella Twins with her sister Nikki in the Class of 2020. She made her WWE debut on SmackDown in August 2008, where she and her sister famously utilized "Twin Magic," secretly switching places during matches to gain an advantage. This tactic was instrumental in her early career and helped her capture the WWE Divas Championship from Eve Torres on an episode of RAW in April 2011. She held the title for 70 days. Alongside her sister Nikki, Brie was a main cast member of the hit reality shows Total Divas and its spinoff, Total Bellas. These shows brought mainstream attention to the women's division and chronicled many of her major storylines, including her marriage to fellow wrestler Bryan Danielson and her high-profile feud against Stephanie McMahon at SummerSlam 2014.
