Murder victim dumped in garbage truck
A GARBAGE truck driver in Bengaluru city, India, was shocked to find a woman's body, believed to be a murder victim, dumped in his lorry, Makkal Osai reported.
The gruesome discovery happened several days ago when the municipal garbage collection truck driver was getting ready to start his shift in the morning.
He had cleaned out the vehicle the night before, which is why he was initially annoyed to find that someone had dumped a large sack in the truck.
His annoyance soon turned to horror when he saw a human head sticking out from the sack.
The driver immediately called the police who then found that the woman had been raped, killed and dumped in the compactor truck. Her hands were also tied.
Based on CCTV recordings, the authorities identified her as a 38-year-old widow named Pushpa who lived in a nearby town.
Apparently, her live-in partner had been arrested after he was caught on CCTV dumping the body after transporting it on his motorbike.
He was believed to have strangled her after an argument.

These businesses, often appearing locally owned, are allegedly controlled by Chinese investors. Tiong personally led a two-day enforcement operation in Tawau involving his ministry's Licensing and Enforcement Division, Immigration, police and other agencies. Raids uncovered unlicensed water chalets, illegal homestays on agricultural land and unauthorised aquaculture farms. The team inspected 30 tour buses/vehicles, 15 tourism premises, 40 boats and four jetties, issuing summonses for nine offences. Specific findings included: Tour groups and buses violating regulations at Tawau Airport; vessels exceeding passenger limits, operating without permits, and lacking documentation during sea patrols; companies registered under local names but effectively run by Chinese investors engaged in unlawful activities. 'These unlicensed operations pose serious safety and management risks, with the potential for tragedies,' Tiong stated in a statement on Wednesday. He urged local authorities to immediately investigate suspicious operations and shut down unlicensed businesses. While welcoming foreign investment, he stressed it must be legal and fully compliant. 'Welcoming investors does not mean turning a blind eye. Whether from China or anywhere else, those involved in illegal activities … will not be tolerated,' he declared. Tiong warned that operators found guilty of breaches face permanent licence revocation. He also cautioned local operators against leasing or lending their licences for profit.
