Black Sabbath Founding Member Tony Iommi Gives the Final Word on the Possibility of Future Shows
"We're never going to do this again, this will be it," Iommi, 77, confirmed.
'We're all nervous really,' the rocker admitted of the band's highly publicized final show. "This is totally different from anything else we've done, you know we've played for 300,000 people, but this is nerve-wracking."
"People are coming from all over the world, and I just can't absorb it,' Iommi added. 'It's been tough, because none of us are getting younger, and to stand there for a couple of hours is tiring.'
Iommi previously told Music Week he was worried about how the band's final show would go amid lead singer Ozzy Osbourne's struggles with Parkinson's disease. "The worrying thing for me is the unknown,' he said in the interview, per Louder. 'We don't know what's going to happen. …It's a nerve-wracking thing, as we'll be touching on some stuff that we haven't done for a long time,' he added.
Iommi also explained that the band only agreed to reunite for the Back to the Beginning concert because it would be a charity show. "It's absolutely the end,' he said of Black Sabbath, which he formed in 1968 with Osbourne, Butler, and Ward. 'There's no way we could go out and do a tour.'
Iommi's confirmation comes after longtime Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde expressed hope that Black Sabbath could tour again in the future with some accommodations for the singer's illness. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Wylde predicted that concert promoters will be all over the Back to the Beginning gig.
'I'm sure the promoters are going to go, 'Wow, that was pretty amazing. Let's do another world tour right now,'' Wylde, 58, predicted. 'If they do this Sabbath thing and it sounds amazing, and Ozzy sings great, and the band sounds amazing, and the only difference is Oz is just sitting down [on a throne]…Why not, right? You know every promoter's just got their fingers crossed on this one."Black Sabbath Founding Member Tony Iommi Gives the Final Word on the Possibility of Future Shows first appeared on Men's Journal on Jul 5, 2025

Princess Anne's 75th Birthday Is Being Celebrated with a Royal First
NEED TO KNOW Princess Anne turns 75 on August 15, and the occasion is being celebrated with the first U.K. coin made in her honor King Charles' sister is featured on the coin with her official coat of arms The Princess Royal has often been called the "hardest-working royal" and continues to be a patron of over 300 causesPrincess Anne turns 75 on August 15, and she's getting a royal-worthy present. The Princess Royal is set to be celebrated with the first U.K. coin made in her honor, depicting her portrait — by royal family favorite John Swannell — in which she wears the Aquamarine Pineflower Tiara. The £5 piece also includes Princess Anne's official coat of arms. The coat of arms features three lions in the first and fourth quadrants representing England, a rampant lion in the second quadrant for Scotland and a stringed argent, or harp, in the third quadrant for Ireland. The face of the coin reads, "The Princess Royal - Celebrating 75 Years - Duty and Devotion." The Royal Mint revealed the design on July 18 via social media, writing, "Join us as we celebrate Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal as she marks her milestone 75th birthday with the first U.K. coin made in her honour, featuring her official Coat of Arms and an official portrait taken by John Swannell." View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Royal Mint (@royalmintuk) The second-born child and only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Anne has always distinguished herself within the royal family. She survived an infamous kidnapping attempt in 1974 and became the first British royal to compete in the Olympics in 1976 as an equestrian. Princess Anne married Captain Mark Phillips in 1973, and they share two children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall. The couple declined royal titles for their children, stating they wanted them to have as normal lives as possible. "I think it was probably easier for them, and I think most people would argue that there are downsides to having titles," Princess Anne told Vanity Fair in 2020. "So I think that was probably the right thing to do." Can't get enough of PEOPLE's Royals coverage? to get the latest updates on Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and more! In 1987, the Queen gave her the title of Princess Royal, a lifetime title. She is only the seventh Princess Royal to hold the honor since it was introduced in the 17th century. Anne and Mark divorced in 1992, and that same year, she married Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. As a working royal, Anne has followed in her mother's footsteps in terms of taking on a wide range of duties. She has frequently been called the "hardest working royal" and still serves as a patron of over 300 charities, organizations and military regiments on behalf of her older brother, King Charles. Despite her royal poise and dedication to the crown, Princess Anne has proven she can still be a cheeky younger sister to the reigning monarch. While hosting a forum for over 100 organizations at Buckingham Palace last month, the Princess Royal expressed her gratitude before adding a quick jab at her older brother. "I'm not here because this was my choice," Anne told the crowd. "You very kindly asked me to become patron of your organizations, so it's an honor for me to have all of you here." She added with a grin, "I would just like to make the point that we are very fortunate that His Majesty has allowed us to use Buckingham Palace for this event tonight — and I need to say that, it does help." "Our Leaders Are Expected To Set The Standard In Both Conduct And Accountability": The Company That Employs The CEO Who Was Called Out By Coldplay For Allegedly "Having An Affair" Has Issued A Statement
During a "kiss cam" moment at Coldplay's Boston concert this past Wednesday, the camera landed on a couple who had been then suddenly seemed to panic at being put on the screen. And let's just say, the whole situation was very awkward. @jennyquack / Here is the viral clip that has been viewed well over 53 million times. Chris Martin called them out, saying, "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." The moment has gone viral, and the pair has been identified as Astronomer's CEO Andy Byron and HR Chief Kristin Cabot. The internet has not held back its opinions on the matter, and now a formal statement by the company has been made. BuzzFeed spoke to Astronomer's Director of Communication Taylor Jones, who confirmed the statement is posted on LinkedIn and X. It reads, "Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly. Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. Andy Byron has not put out any statement, reports saying otherwise are all incorrect." And, as expected, people are on the edge of their seats, waiting to see how the company handles this situation. Neither Coldplay, Andy, nor Kristin has publicly addressed the matter. BuzzFeed has been unable to reach Andy Byron directly. And we've also contacted Chris's reps for additional comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication. Coldplay trolled as they ignore viral CEO kiss cam moment in post-concert recap: ‘Anything else happen?'
Fans trolled Coldplay after they ignored the viral moment Astronomer CEO Andy Byron was caught cuddling up to his colleague at their concert in Boston on Wednesday night. The musicians took to Instagram Thursday to share a recap of their show at Gillette Stadium, noticeably leaving out a clip of Byron, who is married with two kids, getting handsy with his company's human resources head, Kristin Cabot. 'Show #207, Boston,' they simply captioned the photodump featuring photos of themselves on stage and interacting with fans. 'Nice, did anything else happen?' one person quipped in the comments. 'I was there- it was wild!! Imagine being caught by Chris Martin?! ,' another added, as someone agreed, 'Chris did the Lord's work exposing that affair .' 'Looks like a grand affair ,' a fan joked. Others insisted that the cameraman caught Cabot and Byron deserved 'a raise.' The duo was caught canoodling during a 'kiss cam' moment at the concert, which saw the businessman with his arms around his colleague. 'Look at these two,' Martin, 48, said, as Cabot turned around and Byron lowered himself out of view. 'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy,' the 'Clocks' crooner added. In another video, Martin said to the crowd, 'I hope we didn't do something bad…' The crowd gasped and cheered at the couple's mysterious behavior. Byron and Cabot started working together in November when the latter was hired at the tech-based company. At the time, Bryon raved about Cabot's 'exceptional leadership' in a company press release. Andy's wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, meanwhile, deactivated her Facebook account shortly after the video went viral on Thursday. Page Six observed that Megan's account was taken down after she had deleted her surname from her page, which featured photos of her family. Solve the daily Crossword
