Casemiro saw a cross deflected by Ethan Ampadu onto the crossbar in stoppage time, with both teams making sweeping changes at the break in Sweden.
Leeds – cheered on by minority owner Will Ferrell – were more of a threat in the second period, when Tom Heaton denied Jayden Bogle and frustrated Man Utd academy graduate Largie Ramazani.
Patrick Dorgu saw a snapshot saved by Illan Meslier, with Daniel Farke's side surviving a late melee as Kobbie Mainoo hit the crossbar before Ayden Heaven was stopped.

Bruno Fernandes' 'partner in crime' has already told club he won't be returning next season
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has described Nelson Semedo as his "partner in crime" and the defender is available on a free transfer after his Wolves contract expired Wolves star Nelson Semedo looks set to leave the club this summer after his contract expired, with manager Vitor Pereira stating that the former Barcelona defender has told him he wants "to find another challenge". Manchester United are among the clubs that have been linked with a move for Semedo and the 31-year-old has a strong relationship with club captain Bruno Fernandes. The pair are international team-mates with Portugal and Fernandes recently called Semedo his "partner in crime". After Portugal won the Nations League back in June, beating Spain 5-3 on penalties in the final, Semedo shared a series of snaps on Instagram of him celebrating the victory and Fernandes wrote in response: "My partner in crime". Semedo's contract with Wolves expired last month and he was offered a new deal, but it appears as though his future lies elsewhere. "The relationship that I have with Nelson, we have been, from the beginning, very honest," Pereira told the Express and Star. "He said to me that maybe it's time, after five years here, to find another challenge and I understand. But I need to feel that he's honest with me. I prefer to know the truth from the beginning. "Then, waiting and waiting and waiting. We cannot wait. I like Nelson a lot. That's why the club has a lot of respect and offered him a very good contract. "But at the end of the day, we need to look for our club. We need to look for our future. This is the time to find a good solution." Semedo will be the latest key player to leave the club this summer after the departures of Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri. Cunha has joined Manchester United for £62.5million, while Ait-Nouri has signed for Manchester City in a £31m deal. They have only made two new signings, with winger Fer Lopez joining and striker Jorgen Strand Larsen's loan deal becoming permanent, and Pereira has emphasised the need for more new faces. "I know myself, at the end of the market maybe I will be not happy, maybe disappointed," he told the Express and Star. "I hope not, because I believe in the people that they are working hard to give us (players). We cannot do miracles, we need players. "We need to compete with Manchester City, Arsenal. This is our league. We are not competing just with the clubs that are coming from the Championship. Even these clubs, they are spending a lot of money, they are investing a lot of money. It means that the next league will be very, very tough for us. "I want players that I know that at the end of the game, we cannot control the result, but in the end of the game we are proud of ourselves because we fight, we give everything. Because this is the heart of the people in Wolverhampton."

Liverpool transfer news: Hugo Ekitike next steps as Arne Slot already plotting 2026 move
Liverpool will take their summer expenditure close to the £300million mark once they complete the signing of Hugo Ekitike but the Premier League champions are already focussing on next year's business Liverpool are about to make another huge splash in the transfer market by signing Hugo Ekitike - and their chequebook will be open again next summer. The Reds have been boasting their new-found status as Premier League champions to help bolster Arne Slot's squad. June saw the lucrative arrivals of Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz, the latter of whom broke the British transfer record. The trio cost the Reds a combined £186million and add to that Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman, they've spent more than £210m so far this summer. Liverpool are planning offset their outlay by selling a number of players, potentially Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, whose futures were more uncertain until their pursuit of Ekitike. Jarell Quansah joined Bayer Leverkusen for £35m at the start of the month while the sales of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher and Nat Phillips accumulated another £31m. Ekitike's arrival on Merseyside is understood to be imminent after Liverpool made progress over the weekend and it's also emerged that they've identified a target for 2026 who'd cost them a similarly large sum. Plus, there's been movement on Diaz. Here's a round-up of the latest transfer news from Anfield. Ekitike deal imminent Liverpool are on the verge of reaching a full agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Hugo Ekitike. The Reds have already agreed personal terms with the striker, whose contract will run until 2031. According to the Athletic, Liverpool and Frankfurt have agreed the outline of a deal and are now working on the final details before Ekitike, 23, is given permission to have a medical and join up with Arne Slot's squad. The sum could exceed the German club's record sale of £82.3m - when Randal Kolo Muani joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 - if all add-ons are met. Wharton makes decision Liverpool are working on a deal to sign Adam Wharton next summer after the midfielder decided to stay at Crystal Palace for another season. Wharton, 21, has been touted for a big-money move throughout his stellar 18-month spell with the Eagles. But the Sun report that he'll shun interest and remain with Palace for the 2025-26 campaign. It's added that Liverpool have been working on a deal for 'some time' but they've prioritised other areas this year. Bayern focussing on Diaz Bayern Munich have paused negotiations with Stuttgart over striker Nick Woltemade in order to focus on signing Luis Diaz. Earlier this week, Liverpool rejected £58.5million bid from Bayern, who - according to Bild - remain optimistic that they can strike a deal for the winger. The Bundesliga champions have been given a free run at Diaz, 28, after Barcelona shifted their attention to Manchester United wantaway Marcus Rashford. The Colombian has already informed Liverpool that he wants to leave. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. New signings will help bring Arsenal trophies, says Gabriel
July 21 (Reuters) - Arsenal let Premier League titles slip through their grasp in the last couple of years but the arrival of top-quality signings will make a difference this season, said defender Gabriel Magalhaes. Runners-up for the last three seasons, Arsenal have signed winger Noni Madueke and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea, as well as midfielders Christian Norgaard from Brentford and Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres, who scored 54 goals in 52 games for Sporting last season, is also expected to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium. "I think the players that came will help us out a lot. The club is doing what is best for the players and the manager," Gabriel told the BBC in an interview published on Sunday. "They are definitely doing their best to bring the best players that can help us, but we have to focus on what we can do out on the pitch. The players that are here are doing that. We are strong and we are getting stronger with these new players. "We want to have the best players. To be in the dispute for titles, you have to have the best players ... We have let a couple of titles slip through our fingers recently. We almost won but I think this year, things will be different." Arsenal begin their 2025-26 Premier League campaign on August 17 with a trip to Manchester United.
