If you have been a movie fan since the 90s and have seen the beautiful era of Hindi movies, then the superhit song 'Pardesi Pardesi Jaana Nahi' from 'Raja Hindustani' will still be fresh in your memories. In this song, an actress was seen who caught everyone's attention despite the lead actress Karisma Kapoor. She overshadowed Karisma Kapoor with her kajraari eyes and desi style. People became crazy about this heroine along with this song. This actress was none other than Pratibha Sinha, who is the daughter of veteran actress Mala Sinha. When Pratibha entered the film industry, everyone felt that she would make a long and bright career like her mother. She debuted with Sujoy Mukherjee in 1992, but she got real recognition from the song of the 1996 blockbuster 'Raja Hindustani'. The actress has been missing for years
This song became so popular that a glimpse of Pratibha made her the talk of the town overnight. After this she worked in films like 'Dil Hai Betaab', 'Pokiri Raja', 'Deewana Mastana', 'Koi Kisi Se Kam Nahin', 'Zanjeer' and 'Military Raja'. There was a glimpse of simplicity and confidence in her acting, but this shine did not last long. By the year 2000, she suddenly said goodbye to the film world and showbiz completely. No interviews, no social events, no public appearances, Pratibha disappeared. However, recently her presence at a saree exhibition in Mumbai surprised everyone. People could not recognise her after 29 years
When people saw her after about 29 years, they could not recognize her. In such a situation, her pictures have gone viral on social media and she has become a topic of discussion. She bought 8-10 saris at the exhibition and talked to the people present there comfortably. Not only this, on this occasion she herself revealed that now her name is Pratibha Lohani.
This was the name of the actress before coming into films. 'Lohani' is the nickname of her father Chidambaram Prasad Lohani, who has been a famous actor of Nepal. In the picture that has surfaced, the actress's gray hair is visible and there are also wrinkles on her face. Apart from this, she carried a simple black outfit. She was seen smiling. After seeing her, people are saying, 'She is not even recognizable.'
Pratibha Sinha's personal life was also in the headlines. Her name was linked with famous music director Nadeem Saifi. Both of them met during films, and slowly this relationship started deepening. However, this relationship was never approved by Mala Sinha. Nadeem Saifi was not only already married, but also belonged to a different religion. Mala Sinha did not like this. After this, Pratibha came in front of the media and clearly said that neither did she ever marry Nadeem, nor does she love him. Nadeem was badly broken after this statement. He claimed in an interview that Mala Sinha mentally tortured his family, abused them over the phone and tried to ruin his life. Where is Pratibha Sinha now?
Now that Pratibha Sinha has come in front of everyone once again, her fans are happy to know that she is living a happy and peaceful life. She is no longer associated with films and has preferred a private life away from the glare of the media. Pratibha Sinha's story is of an artist who saw fame, faced controversies, and then distanced herself from that world. She lives in Mumbai, away from the world of glamour.

Four-year-old Pallavi Joshi was slapped on camera by director because she wasn't crying on cue: ‘My ego was hurt, didn't want to do films'

Actor Pallavi Joshi has been in the industry for over 52 years. She marked her acting debut with the 1973 film Naag Mere Sathi. She was just four. Even at that age, Pallavi was sure she didn't want to take up acting, however, competition with her brother Alankar Joshi made her say yes to director Shantilal Soni, who wanted to cast her as younger version of his female lead in the 1976 film Rakshabandhan starring actors Sachin Pilgaonkar and Sarika. In a recent interview, Pallavi Joshi shared how it was a task for the filmmaker to get her to cry in a scene. She revealed that the filmmaker got so annoyed with her that he ended up slapping her on camera. In an interaction with Friday Talkies, Pallavi Joshi recalled the time she first faced camera. 'Back in those days, there used to be a director named Shantilal Joshi. He was my father's great friend. Sachin and Sarika were the lead actors in the film, and it was being made in two languages: Hindi and Gujarati. When I showed interest in acting, he quickly cast me in his film. I played the young version of Sarika.' She added, 'They were shooting a song sequence where they expected me to cry. They narrated the scene to me. They said, 'You have to do a puja of Nag devta and then hold your face and cry.' The 4-year-old me found this very funny. They took several takes but I kept laughing. An annoyed Shantilal asked my father to slap me. My dad refused to do so but pretended to be annoyed at me. However, I knew he was acting. I laughed harder. After several takes, Shantilal walked up to me and slapped me hard.' 'The camera was rolling. This put me in shock. I was four. Nobody had slapped me before. My ego was hurt. 'Pure unit ke saamne mujhe kaise maar diya (How could he slap me before everyone?)'. I cried so hard. After the shot was done, I got up and yelled, 'I don't want to shoot for this film.' Even my father was shocked. He asked, 'How could you slap my daughter?'. Shantilal asked his unit to pack up. I was adamant that I will not shoot for the film. A couple of days passed and my dad got worried. In reality, Shantilal was waiting for me to calm down and when I did, we began to shoot again.' Being a four-year-old, she played the role of a child who was abused by her aunt and was expected to do household chores. She was given torn clothes to wear. 'During one of the scenes, I was asked to mop the floor. I was wearing torn clothes. Suddenly, I saw the girl who was playing my evil cousin was dressed up in beautiful new clothes and wearing glittery ornaments. Looking at her, I began to protest: 'Even I need to look like that'. It took them so long to convince me that my role didn't allow that. Eventually, my mom had to promise me to buy me all those things for my birthday and only then did I resume the shoot.' Pallavi Joshi actively did films until 1999. However she took a decade-long break from the industry after her marriage to filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri in 1997. She made a comeback with the 2009 film Rita. Pallavi was recently seen in her husband's films The Kashmir Files, The Vaccine War and The Bengal Files. She also played an important role in Anupam Kher's film Tanvi the Great.

Saiyaara To Dhadak 2: Internet Spots Striking Similarities In Recent Hindi Film Posters

Bollywood fans noticed striking similarities in posters of recent Hindi films like Saiyaara, Dhadak 2, and Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan, calling out the 'copy-paste' trend online. Bollywood fans are known for their sharp eyes, and this time, they're turning their attention to film posters. A growing number of social media users have pointed out the uncanny visual similarities between posters of recent Hindi film releases — Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara, Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's Dhadak 2, and National Award winner Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor's Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan, among others. From the framing of romantic leads where they stick their foreheads together to almost-identical backdrops and poses, netizens have taken to platforms like X and Instagram to share side-by-side comparisons, calling out what they describe as a 'copy-paste' trend in Bollywood poster design. A user circulated the similar-looking posters of Bollywood's recent slate of films and Reddit was quick to comment. First, watch a video here: An Internet user shared a poster of Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's Satyaprem Ki Katha and compared it to Saiyaara poster. The netizen wrote, 'Saiyara is also very close to this. The colour scheme is too similar." Yet another compared it to Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Another argued, 'I mean how much innovation do you want for romantic films? There will only be select few poses." 'Everyone is doing this in their shadi pics too!", quipped a fan. Other arguments included some defending the aesthetic overlap as a popular industry style, while others urged designers to bring back originality and creative risk-taking in visual marketing. Meanwhile, YRF's Saiyaara has been a rage with its storytelling, cast and songs. The film has gone on to become one of the most profitable projects of 2025, amassing a box office collection of over Rs 300 crore worldwide. As for Dhadak 2, the film starring Siddhanth and Triptii started slow at the box office. The film clashed with Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2, a franchise with a loyal fanbase. On Day 1, Son of Sardaar 2 raked in an impressive Rs 6.75 crore, comfortably surpassing the day 1 earnings of Dhadak 2, which managed Rs 3.35 crore. Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, starring Vikrant and Shanaya, opened with a strong buzz. However, the film underperformed at the box office, earning Rs 1.61 crore.
