Four-star Macquarie analyst Hiroshi Yamashina maintained a Hold rating with a ¥13,000 price target.
CLSA analyst Jay Defibaugh reiterated a Sell rating but increased his price target to $70.40 from $67.69.
Four-star Benchmark analyst Mike Hickey kept a Buy rating and raised his price target to $94.77 from $88.
These updated ratings and price targets came after Nintendo reported earnings per share of 56 cents on revenue of $3.89 billion in its latest earnings report. These both beat out Wall Street's estimates of 31 cents per share and revenue of $3.35 billion. Nintendo's strong Fiscal Q1 beats were powered by the launch of the Switch 2 in early June. The new console broke sales records in its first few days on the market.
Nintendo also recently announced price updates for its original Switch line of devices. While a price drop would typically occur after a new console launch, Nintendo has increased the price of its Switch consoles. It did so after President Donald Trump announced new tariffs.
Nintendo Stock Movement Today
Nintendo stock was down 1.7% on Tuesday, but remained up 52.43% year-to-date and 78.81% over the past 12 months. The company's stock has largely benefited from the hype around the Switch 2. Strong sales and new games have been positive catalysts for the video game company's shares recently.
Is Nintendo Stock a Buy, Sell, or Hold?
Turning to Wall Street, the analysts' consensus rating for Nintendo is Moderate Buy, based on nine Buy, two Hold, and a single Sell rating over the past three months. With that comes an average NTDOF stock price target of $97.18, representing a potential 10.07% upside for the shares.

Currys is offering some incredible deals this week! Whether you're looking to refresh your tech setup or just want a little retail therapy, I've found a bunch of awesome discounts for you. For starters, you can currently shop TV deals from £89 at Currys. This includes the excellent Samsung 55-inch S90D 4K OLED TV on sale for £999 at Currys (£200 off.) When we tested this model out in our Samsung S90D OLED TV review, we said this set offers 'the best bang for your buck' and praised its picture quality and brightness. Plus, there's an awesome Ninja sale with up to 20% off at Currys. The sale includes everything from blenders to bottles to air fryers! Check out all my favorite Currys deals below. For more savings, see our Currys discount codes page. Ninja sale: up to 20% off @ CurrysCurrys is taking up to 20% off select Ninja appliances! Keep in mind, the cheap TVs tend to be smaller, 1080p models (which are more suitable for a children's room or guest room). However, the sale also includes larger sets. These are among the cheapest TVs we've seen. Note that Amazon and Argos are holding similar check: from £99 @ Amazon | from £109 @ Argos TV sale: deals from £89 @ CurrysCurrys has smart TVs on sale for as low as £89. Keep in mind, the cheap TVs tend to be smaller, 1080p models (which are more suitable for a children's room or guest room). However, the sale also includes larger sets. These are among the cheapest TVs we've seen. Note that Amazon and Argos are holding similar check: from £99 @ Amazon | from £109 @ Argos The most affordable TV that carries the Bravia moniker is Sony's Bravia 3, and right now, it's even cheaper. Despite the Bravia 3's lack of luminance and local dimming, we appreciated the accuracy of its out-of-the-box performance in Sony's Professional picture mode in our Sony Bravia 3 TV review. It's priced higher than most budget-oriented 43-inch TVs, however, so you'll have to spend a bit more for Sony engineering. The S90D is one of Samsung's 2024 OLED TVs. The OLED TV features Samsung's new NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, HDR10+/HLG support, 120Hz refresh rate, four HDMI 2.1 ports and built-in Alexa. It also offers 4K AI Upscaling to ensure all programs are crisp and sharp. On the audio front, you get Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Lite for 3D surround sound. Our Samsung S90D review said, "it offers the best bang for your buck." This impressive OLED TV blends Sony's lauded engineering with the benefits of OLED display technology. It comes with Google TV baked right into the TV's software, as well as a solid list of gaming-related enhancements (like ALLM, VRR, and support for 4K/120Hz gaming). Currys lists the price as £2199, with £300 being taken off at checkout. Sony's smallest speaker is a portable powerhouse. It's got plenty of sonic oomph where it counts, despite its small size. The colors are where it's really at though — just check out those fetching shades. In our Samsung Galaxy Buds FE review we said these are a great pair of sub-$100 buds with active noise cancellation. They're also super portable thanks to their tiny case. They won't blow you away like more expensive the Samsung Buds Pro, but at half the price already, this discount makes them more than worth a look. The JBL Charge 5 is an excellent midrange speaker combining a lengthy 20 hours of playtime with strong audio quality. It's also IP67 waterproof and dustproof, so you can take it outdoors without fear. Plus, it even doubles as a power bank, if you need to juice up your other devices in a pinch. The AirPods 4 with ANC have all the same great features as the base AirPods 4, except they also include Active Noise Cancellation. They also feature Adaptive Audio, Transparency mode, and Voice Isolation. This discount makes them some of the best earbuds around for iPhone users. Lenovo's Chromebook balances performance and value in this lightweight package. The Full HD display and Intel processor handle everyday tasks, while Chrome OS ensures quick boot times and seamless cloud integration. Our Asus Zenbook A14 review had a lot of praise for this laptop, but we had mixed feelings about its price. Now that it's on sale for a discount, it's much easier to recommend. It's an extremely portable laptop thanks to its thin and lightweight design, its 14-inch OLED display looks incredible, and it lasted for 18 hours of battery life in our tests. This HP Envy x360 2-in-1 laptop features a 16-inch 2K display, AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. Since it's a 2-in-1 device, you can use this device as a laptop or tablet. The M4-based MacBook Pro M4 is pretty close to being the perfect laptop. You get fantastic performance from the M4 chip, useful Apple Intelligence features, a better webcam and obscenely long battery life (18:31). In our MacBook Pro 14-inch M4 review, we said it's the best laptop for power users, now with more AI features. The base model features a 14.2-inch 3024 x 1964 Retina display, Apple M4 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. Having a slow cooker is essential for making great food really easily, and the Crock-Pot CSC063 is a fantastic choice. It comes with a 7.5-litre capacity, digital controls with programmable timer and an auto keep warm feature that locks food at the perfect temperature for guests to scoop from! If you want a blender that's both portable and powerful, you've found it. Our Ninja Blast Max Portable Blender review praised this device's performance as it made short work of ingredients like ice and fruit. You can even use it to whip up pancake mix. Plus, it has a drinking cup for use on the go. Currys lists the price as £79, with an extra 20% off at checkout. There's no sugarcoating it: this is an expensive product. But the Dyson Airwrap I.D. is technically six styling tools in one: an ionic jet hairdryer, two curling wands, a hot brush, and a hot round brush. It's super convenient as you don't need to lug around loads of different gadgets when traveling, and we found it to be both versatile and easy to use in our testing. The Ninja Slushi turns liquids into smooth frozen drinks by using specialised RapidChill technology, so you don't need ice. We gave it a 4-star rating in our Ninja Slushi review, praising its quick, quiet and easy operation. Currys lists the price as £349, with 20% taken off at checkout.

Trump stated that a 100% tariff would be applied to imported chips, but with a key exemption: companies that are 'building in the United States' would not be subject to the new levy. This news came shortly after Apple (AAPL) committed an additional $100 billion investment in the U.S. over the next four years. This follows a positive day for the broader market, with the S&P 500, the Nasdaq Composite, and the Dow gaining 0.7%, 1.2%, and 0.2%. Traders continue to monitor tariff-related news and key quarterly earnings reports. Looking ahead to Thursday, traders are focused on new economic data, including Weekly Jobless Claims, as well as the second-quarter reports on Unit Labor Costs and Productivity. On the corporate earnings front, SoundHound AI (SOUN), D-Wave Quantum (QBTS), Pinterest (PINS), Block (XYZ), and Eli Lilly (LLY) are scheduled to release quarterly numbers.
