Ken Roczen becomes a United States citizen
Ken Roczen became an American citizen this week after being awarded the right on Thursday,
'It is not very often you leave the house as a German and come back as an American,' Roczen posted on social media. 'I am finally a US Citizen, and I wouldn't want it any other way.'
Born in Mattstedt, Germany, on April 29, 1994, the 30-year-old began his professional dirt bike career in 2009, racing in the MX2 division of the European-based MXGP. He scored his first victory in his fourth round of competition that year. Roczen won the MX2 championship two seasons later, in 2011.
Immediately after securing that title, Roczen moved to the American-based AMA Supercross series at the end of the 2011 season, finishing second in the first main event for which he qualified and winning the following round.
Roczen quickly moved up to the 450 division in 2014.
Roczen has one win so far in 2025 in 450s and six podiums in nine starts. He is currently third in the championship standings behind Cooper Webb and Chase Sexton.

For the amount that Dvalishvili grappled in that fight, he didn't win the decision clearly, according to the judges. Two had Dvalishvili up, 48-47, and winning three of the first four rounds. It is possible that Dvalishvili threw away the fifth and final round after having coasted through the first two, but O'Malley did land some hard shots. Dvalishvili does have a clear path to victory via takedowns, as he went 6-for-15 on attempts in the first fight, although he was just 3-for-11 in the fight's final three rounds. The odds had been a bit wide here, with O'Malley reaching +300 status at one point, but his price has cratered down to a much more palatable +210 underdog at the time of writing. Dvalishvili by decision is -150 odds, and we know this is the most likely scenario in terms of win equity, where the Georgian grappler could just continue to land takedowns against the cage. 3 Sean O'Malley faces Merab Dvalishvili ahead of UFC 316 in Newark. Pena has solid submissions and we know Harrison has a strong offensive grappling background, so I'd presume the champion feels comfortable fighting off her back. On Friday, he officially added a European import with the signing of Melih Tunca from Turkey. Tunca is a six-foot guard who is regarded as one of the top professional players in Turkey. He is coming off a 2024-25 season in which he was named the Young Player of the Regular Season with Turk Telekom in the Turkish Basketball Super League.
